I found the pips to be a bit of a let down to be honest although the little booklet is lovely and helped fill in the gaps.

I know what you mean about the pips. I will always prefer a fully illustrated minor arcana, but at least most of these pips allude to the RWS meanings in some way. I guess that's better than a plain background with six cups (or whichever suit) on it. Plus, the colors are so pretty!

That's weird, isn't it? Maybe Hachette is publishing it now, and Chronicle published it earlier, since the date on mine is 1018. I Googled the two companies to see if they are related, but they don't seem to be. Hopefully the quality will be the same. You'll have to let me know how they are. I'm glad you got a great deal - that makes buying even more fun!

@@tenpentaclestarot9847they came in, says Chronicle Books on the back. Hachette books is on the back of my Cosmic Creatures oracle deck made by Mystic Mondays so I’m wondering if they mixed up the two. Good condition but they were almost all stuck together from the gilding on the edges and it was a little painstaking getting them pulled apart.
@@tenpentaclestarot9847 the quality wasn’t that great- the backs had a sort of weird texture I know wasn’t supposed to be there. Re ordered from Amazon and those were great. Same publisher, but different editions.
