Thanks Robert! Funny thing is that we didn't give the 10-day crossing to Tonga a second thought as we left Bora Bora's lagoon, just pointed Tranquilo west and headed out. A marked contrast to leaving the Canary Islands for the Caribbean where everyone was holding back their nerves, or leaving Panama to head into the Pacific.
Your videos are so good! You do an excellent job of capturing passage making. To me in my days of cruising I really enjoyed the passages. Enjoy Tonga! New adventures await!
You guys are like time travelers and will have to take some history lessons by the time you end this trip. Not that you missed anything, you rather dodged a lot of bad stuff. I still can't believe you are doing this on a standard Hanse. Thank you for showing people that there is still beauty out there.
Hi Fil. Curious…what was the issue with the autopilot? Could hear it and El was commenting it was giving her a hassle. Figuring I may get into the same issue on my boat once delivered. Chip
Hi Chip, it was just overwhelmed with the 90 degree wind shift and the wind increasing by 10 knots as the squall hit us. Our mistake, we should have been expecting it, should have gone manual as the squall was coming in. Or at least go into wind mode... Hope this helps!
Wonderful video. Likes the mixture of sailing, exploring and commentary. One of the best video contents of sailing I’ve seen.
Thanks Scott, very much appreciated!!
That was super chill.
Yeah, slowing down has its benefits!
Beautiful family! Cute son helping out. Love the 8km deep swimming pool!!
Thanks! Yeah we've never come across anything like it, so still and perfectly clear, and quite something knowing it's 8km deep!
I just love the tenacity of you all...O' so brave and courageous...great footage...real...raw...captivating..

Thanks Robert, and yes we really like the passages, nothing like being out there far from anything, just focusing on what's important!
very impressive,
incl. the days without wind!
Thanks Omar!
Always great and a pleasure to enjoy your video's!
Thanks Randy, appreciate it!

Thanks In Cognito - any recommendations on history lessons? And that's what we're loving, sharing the beauty in the world!
