Review of my Seiko 5 GMT SSK003K1. I have worn this most days from the day it arrived on 1st July to 20th July. I cover the specification, how to use the GMT, what I do like and what I don't like.
I am retired on social security, so this would be a very expensive watch for me... I like it a lot. However, I will probably wait for a Pagani or something with the NH34 movement. And I will probably be able to find something with sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, and a milled clasp. And it will be quite a bit less expensive! Here's hoping. 🤞 Thanks for the video.

One of the reason why i prefer this type of seiko mechanical watch, is because it suits my small wrist. I love the prospex or presage series but they’re larger fro my wrist.

Could you tell me how visible is the blue color on the bezel? In some videos it apears as it blends with the black part and in others like in yours its solid blue?
The blue part of the bezel changes from blue to black as the watch changes angle and catches the light differently. This is due to the bezel insert being made from hardlex. I think this looks good and gives the watch character.

Hello there, may I kindly ask you if you could explain how to know where is the power indicator on this watch? Mine stops a lot and Im not sure if I fully winded it or not
Thanks for watching 👍 This watch has a power reserve of about 41 hours, but it does not have a power indicator. If the watch has stopped, ie the second hand has stopped, to wind it up fully give the crown about 50 turns clockwise. As it’s automatic you can not give it too many turns and damage it. It should then have full power and last for around 41 hours if left on a table or such. If you instead wear it most of each day it will keep all or most power and keep running until you wear it only a few hours each day or stop wearing it. If this is not the case for your watch then take it back to where you bought it from and ask for it to be sorted out under guarantee.
Great video man. I already own the Seiko SRPD55K1 but I really love this piece. Do you think it would feel different to wear and be a good addition to the collection?

I've always hated the skx and as the skx this one also has the bezel sticking out too much for my taste. Between the case and the bezel is too thick for my taste.

Back in the day no one was interested in buying a tool watch. Rolex sport models could be bought at any AD by just walking in and buying the watch. Of course a Submariner is now a luxury watch.
I noticed yours does not say "Made in Japan" on the face below left of the 6. Do you know if there's a difference vs. the one's i've seen that does indicate "Made in Japan"?

But I preordered this watch and it arrived on the first day of release. So I got what my online AD sent. Luckily the watch is still fantastic over a year later, with no alignment issues and it has always been accurate to a couple of seconds a day 👌😎
Good question Aldin, the watch modders do it all the time! Sapphire is about £15 for doing it yourself. I’m guessing a watch modder or repair professional would charge around £100
And do you recommend to do it or is better to buy other watch with sapphire for that price (watch+sapphire) ? Or is that hard to do myself as I never open alone any of my watch
I just bought a new Seiko SSK001 and returned immediately. These Seiko models have very poor and terrible bezels that turn very easily and mess up our GMT settings. These watches suck....you have been warned.

I’ve had mine since day 1 of release - 2 years ago - and mine has been without fault. The bezel is not at all loose and the timekeeping is within a couple of seconds a day. I really love my watch and think it’s one of the best watches available.
@@OnetoWatch It is very possible that I got a lemon, also my watch was fast about 12 seconds a day, not as accurate as it should have been. Looks like I was not lucky with my purchase but glad to hear that is not the normal and you are happy with your Seiko.
I guess yours is made in china one . Mine is also the china made .. I see other dial as well where inside the dial written made in Japan .. and in the back also written made in Japan .. why 2 different for same model number??

@@actionclips9066 no prob’s 👍 The power reserve is 41 hours, so it will keep running for 41 hours after you take it off your wrist, and then automatically charge again when you next wear it. It’s a good idea to give the crown about 40 turns when you first wear it and then give it about 20 turns each morning after that that you continue to wear it to keep the power topped up. You can’t overwind an automatic watch so don’t worry about that.

Nice watch. Wish it was sapphire crystal with AR coating. This is a $200 USD jump in price from the Seiko 5 without GMT.

made in China with a movement made in Malaysia ,go for the made in japan version
