Theres a secret about Red Wall many don't know, and that, Red Wall is a Dimension that has a bunch of "Living Objects" like the Tapestry of Martin the Warrior, that update everything thats happening in the reality, and heres whats crazy about it -- Mathias noticed that the Tapestry keeps changing to reflect what recently happened, and even asks while everyone is gathered by it if anyone else notices -- but no one answers, and after that, in the entirety of Red Wall series, no one ever asks again about the Living Object, Mathias during his time at the Abbey was the only one to question the Living Object.

Maybe the tapestry is similar, and to everyone else it's always been that way. There are other possible explanations too. I think it's cool when the writers are aware of a deeper layer underneath the action on the screen and they never make it explicit but it's there for observant watchers/readers like a kind of Easter egg.

That's awesome! I think that the best shows are the ones who don't rely on special effects more than an actual story line. Redwall is one of those that revolves around actual moral lessons.
I agree. Hopefully, the Entertainment Industry can learn a thing or two from these classics. And, if they do, I just hope that they don't go the wrong way, and further worsen how entertainment works.
JediMaster362 true..... they shouldn't even try to remake these they should just play them. anytime they redo classics they ruin them.... I'm super mad about star wars and jumanji... they should have just left them alone
Yeah. I agree. I always assume that Directors for either films or shows, that they will try their damndest to not ruin things that they are remaking. Yet, they always get the wrong result.
Nostalgia, about 20 years have been passed since I was kid, and it was my favorite morning show. I remember those feeling - calm sunny morning you have great family breakfast, then you go to church, after this I come back to my room, watching this show, then take pencils, turn on the imagination, and trying to draw this castle. This random recommendation brought me back to my childhood!
Same! Except for me, it was on at 5 o'clock on PBS on a weekday. Man... I have so many wholesome, nostalgic memories wrapped up in this show. This series was quite the thriller when I first watched it at around 9-10 years of age, and I think that's what elevated it above all the other shows that I watched growing up. And now they're making a new Redwall series on Netflix!
@@maximyakovlev9020 Yeah, so the way I understand it, they're making a movie for the original Redwall book (Season 1 of the PBS series) and then a show that will tackle the story of Martin the Warrior. So I think both Seasons 1 and 3 will be remade in a movie and series format respectively... not sure about season 2 (Mattimeo). It's definitely exciting as hearing the news about this last month has me feeling like my childhood is being revitalized.
Omg, i actually saw nightmares about this cartoon. It took me days to remember it was a cartoon i used to watch and to find out its name. It not as scary as when i was a kid watching it but its still a bit scary(even thou it was always played in the fucking noon!)
How have I missed this my entire life? This show is great. The amount of sophisticated military tactics is astounding for a kids' show. Cluny is a really good villain. The show is able to use him and his minions for comedy from time to time while still maintaining them as a real threat to the heroes. Characters have strong motivations for their actions, actions have real consequences that last. Worldbuilding is sparse, but there's just enough of it to make the world feel real and lived-in. I like that many of the animals have different accents--it shows the world isn't purely homogenous, there are different cultures. I love the music too: it's good on its own and it fits the tone and setting of the show perfectly too. There are some problems too. Animal sizes are inconsistent. The foxes are the size of rats, but the cat is the size of a small cabin. What? One guy falls off a wall an dies, but Cluny falls from the same height on two separate occasions: once, he gets injured and has to spend the next episode in recovery. That's fine, but then the second time he falls he jumps up and runs away. It needs to be one or the other, the inconsistency is jarring. Overall, the first season is great. 8/10. PS: Asmodeus is terrifying!
I agree. The adder is a terrifying force. I don’t get why there’s those idle gags (Cluny gives his subordinates an order, and they just stand there, until he gets upset, and yells at them). To me, that’s the comedy element of the series, in regards to the villains.
To be fair those legit issues of size and anthromorphism are all taken straight from the book series where it was an equally confusing affair. One gets the feeling the author in general wasn't hard set on the rules of realism as he was whatever suited a character role best, if they were an ally, foe, neutral predatory animal, or some ally whose.mean to evoke awe and otherworldly eccentricity like a friendly giant or trickster spirit trope.
It was a sad day when I found out Brian Jaques had passed away. I stumbled across his books when I was working at Toy's R Us and read every one, I even have an autographed copy of Redwall. I am glad this cartoon helped introduced the world of Redwall to so many others.
4:06:50 I always remembered this quote from as a kid. They make it clear that the sword was not magical at all (it was just a regular sword that rusted and broke with age, that was later reforged with metal from a fallen star that made it so durable and resilient throughout the ages), but as Martin stated in the books, it's just a regular sword whose purpose is to slay others. Yet because of the history of the people who wielded it and the battles it fought, it just became a massive symbol of power and became seen as a mythological object among others.
My 5th grade teacher read us the original “redwall” novel every day after lunch for 15 mins. After that, i was so absorbed, i went out and had my mom buy as many as she could for me to read. Had quite the collection. Amazing stories, amazing world building, just a real gem from my childhood. God Bless Brian Jacques! The badger lords and their fighting hares were always my fave. Bad af!!
We used to sit in the playroom together pretending to be our own characters we made up and cut up potatoes we made out of Moon Dough since my brother was allergic to play-doh, we would talk about how worried we were about what the rats were doing to do next and gossip about other characters in the show or ones we also made up
1:20 Ep.1 Cluny the Scourge 22:52 Ep.2 Cluny the Scourge 44:26 Ep.3 Treachery 1:06:00 Ep.3 Treachery (again) For Ep.4 He did reupload this a year later with breaks in the video for each episode. 1:27:34 Ep.5 Cluny's Clowns 1:49:08 Ep.6 High Standards
JediMaster362 How they just threw the fox out of redwall and said "we'll let Clooney decide" knowing damn well that he doesn't even care about his own. Like how he left Shadow for dead. And they heard them kill her and just walked away without a second glance.
I just finished the book and I was in shock. Her death didn’t feel special, dead like all the others. That’s what shocked me. She just DIED. I was open mouthed.
I can't believe Redwall has a tv show, let alone that it got 3 seasons! I'm so glad I discovered this! This was my absolute favorite series as a kid... I asked my parents for every single book. Even now, a decade later and age 20, Redwall holds the most prominent and proud spot on my bookshelf. It'm certain my love for reading was ignited and kindled by this series alone. The world of Redwall will always have a profound and special place in my heart. Thank you Brian, wish you were still with us.
The only problem I ever had with this series is how they portrayed the Abbot. He was not a "pacifist at the cost of lives" type, he understood that Clooney was a terrible person and a threat, so was willing to give up peace when needed. He was not harmless.
@@Arciliosfr fr I love his interpretation in the book a wise mouse who knew it when violence was necessary and when not but I do love how they included cornflower more making her and Matthias dynamic more natural than out of nowhere
@@Arcilios He was way better in the book. I remember the part where Cluny first came to the abbey and said he was going to conquer it and the abbot was like, "LOL, try it bitch."
I really needed this. I was having a terrible day, I sat crying in my bed then this blast from my past popped up. Let’s just say it’s making the day better
The fight scenes are obviously heavily toned down from the book, but damn, that badger lady just throws rats and bites a guy's head off, this show was pretty brutal.
Yeah that one made me sad, but Methuselah's death borderline traumatized me... though I still loved the show just the same. This TV series was so unlike any other show from my childhood with its level of depth and maturity which is why I think I found it so engrossing as a child.
It's a great show for kids it doesnt talk down to them or "kiddifi" it and does have some valuable morals for all ages and is very entertaining and epic I loved this as a kid and as an adult I still do
Bless you for uploading this, been looking forever. I'd come home from school, toss my backpack in the corner, run down to the basement, and turn on PBS. If I was fast enough, I could just barely catch the opening theme. One day I came home and turned it on, and Digimon was playing instead...Redwall never came back after that. I was heartbroken! Went to the library and read ALL of Brian's books instead. This was over 20 years ago now... Eulalia!
One brilliant part of this was that the voice of Matthias hit puberty between this and season 2 (Mattimeo) so his voice deepened, so then when it came Matthias would sound like an adult/Matti's father while keeping the same voice actor in just a couple years
Other animators drawing a wall to crash through: “I’ll just draw some bricks or wood” Red wall animators: “It will be a highly accurate representation of the wattle and daub interior common for the time”
I grew up with this show and this show brought me so many feels I watched all the series which included only of the adventures of Martin the warrior, Matthias, and Matthias's son on PBS This show was surprisingly violent from beheading to stabbing to showing blood.
I completely forgot about this series and why I was so stuck on it when I was a child, literally a child... This upload literally just knocked the dust out of my mental library... 😂😂
I read em all. They were my companions through a very rough period in my life. Such deep insights within this story. It will always be a significant part of my journey. ❤
This just popped up on my feed. I've never heard of this show. I'm definitely going to check it out. First thoughts after watching pat of the intro - looks like a quick Secret of N.I.M.H. art style, but more fantasy and common art style of a TV show, less modern day and art style of a movie.
I always wanted a open world rpg like game for the world of redwall. Could pick several different species and different classes it would be so fun. It would have to be rated T though and there would need to be some blood but nothing to much. Would still be fun.
There is a tabletop RPG based on the series called Mouseguard. There isnt that variety of races though since animals are to scale (meaning a fox is something like the equivalent of a sphinx and an owl is the equivalent of a dragon). They might add in other playable rodents like rats and weasels someday, but right now theyre just NPCs. Theres also a really fun Indie Videogame called Ghost of a Tale, where you play as a mouse bard thrown in a prison by an unhappy rat lord. Its a stealth prison break game with lots of fun characters. If you want to play Redwall specifically tho, I imagine It wouldnt be hard to play D&D 5th ed and assign animals to the established races (dwarves=moles, humans=rats, halflings=mice, tieflings=foxes...)
I was prepared to be fooled but you surprised me. Usually when I am looking for a tv series or movie I click on so many videos that just have the same screen for the duration of the video or tell me to download something lol
Ah. Yes, that's an irritant on here that I am really aware of. I avoid doing that, as it's misleading, and generally won't bring any benefit for someone who is looking for the entertainment they're seeking.
i have a very vivid memory of my childhood, but this one specific thing, this animated show in particular always eluded me. i could recall especially impressive scenes, entire episodes and even the soundtrack. but i could never - for the life of me - quite bring it's name back into memory. i actively recall childhood memories so that i never forget them, but i gave up on this over 15 years ago. this is inconsequential in the grand scheme of my life, but simultaneously means so much. no matter how small, i've regained a portion of my childhood that i'd just written off as a tax paid to the passing of time. thanks, dawg.
I remember this show, as well. It, alongside Jane and the Dragon, were the reasons for my budding interests in learning swordsmanship and the medieval period.
@@Biggy111 Totally random tangent but I thought I'd share, there's a suggested video containing a gargoyle resembling the ones from Cybersix right next to your comment. '15 Most Mysterious Monuments That Cannot Be Explained'. The Universe wants me to watch it I think.
Sunflash and Skarlath would fit in nicely, in today's hero genre. I would love nothing more than to visit the great Salamandastron, again. Logologolog!
About a year into this whole quarantine situation. And I'm watching an old cartoon with medieval mice. And having a ball. Holy shit! Like a good chunk of everyone here, I only vaguely recall this. I remember coming home from Preschool and watching this as soon as I sat down. I'm twenty-three now. All I remember is mice and rats with swords. Not much else. So there ya go. It's really cool seeing that this hasn't been forgotten. I'm really liking this.
When I first heard of RedWall, I was a few years younger than I am now. An older man with 1 grand at that time. I enjoyed it, immensely. Then, I saw the 2nd part, and enjoyed that just as much. Now, I'm inside, with nothing to do.. I'm gonna watch it again. Stay safe folks.
For over ten years I was trying to find the name of this show. Recently, I searched up "medieval rat cartoon" on google and found it! I remembered watching this show when I was 5 or 6 years old! I remember scenes from this show so vividly! Such a great cartoon!
I still remember reading these stories as a child. I still loved the tales of Martin the Warrior and his time before and after saving mos flour. The books had good characters, action, betrayal and a wonderful world. Its nice to see it come to life.
You know your villain is a badass when... he fails to kill a child and then nearly gets killed by falling debris.... going to file him under Cobra Commander and Skeletor.
This series needs to be remade for TV properly. Yes, Redwall was a kids' book series, but more in the classic European folktale sense, with bloodshed and trickery. You can't condense that into 23-minute episodes within the limitations of Saturday morning television.
For me, it was Sunday Morning, but I totally agree. Redwall needs another TV Series. I don't know how they'd do it, but they need it! I'd throw money at that within a heart beat.
I agree. The idea was to make it more little kid friendly but I think they should've gone more along with the books themselves. Good true old fashioned storytelling there. Very gripping. I couldn't put them down. The anime while cute is a little lacking.
These books mean so much to me. I love the Redwall series so much man I really don’t know how else to say it. The books showed me the real importance of reading. I have more nostalgia for the book series than Star Wars, cartoons, marvel, video games, childhood television shows I watched (and I was born in the mid 90s so we had the best cartoons) etc. I was like the only kid who read these books in my school so it felt like I just had this secret world I could visit when life was to much. Man thank you Brian Jacques for making such a great series 🥰
Ye know, Cluny the Scourge is a typical war-lord and dictator...but he has some very clever tactics. Letting his enemy think A, while he does B. Patiently laying siege to sow diversion and lower morale among his enemies. And with a bit of luck and a spy, he also managed to deal with a treacherous rebel leader among his troops and at the same time know of Redwall's new Ballista. So he has variety of tactics, has the patience to accomplish his goals, and is cruelly cunning to deal with sometimes multiple issues at once.
I used to read these books as a kid but i never knew that there was an animated series or they just didnt show it here . I remember how i allways wondered how the size differences work but this gives a good picture :D
Finally found this show after 15 years. My mom worked the night shift as a single mom of 3 and she would wake us up at 5 in the morning to get ready for school and take us to our neighbors house where we would chill until it was time to go to school. I would be watching this show so tired and sleepy but LOVED IT. I could never remember this show all I remembered was the mouse with the name “Mathias” that somehow translated to “I am that is”.
I've always thought that the horse and wagon was a mistake as you never see anything like it again. Being his first book, I feel he was still working out the world and it's creatures.
Apparently that was the case--I've heard that he wasn't sure at the time he was going to write more than that first book, hence why there are several oddities when it's compared to the rest of the series.
I am working on a RedWall video, and I am excited to continue to be working on it. It’s on the topic of a certain relationship. But, you’ll have to wait for the Premiere to find out!
I discovered this series in my school library and got all my friends hooked on them too! I was in the third grade, my friends and I would spend recess in the library working on comics we created together. We were all obsessed, we all were all gourmets and loved the way the feasts were described in the series. I'm 34 now, but this series will always hold a special place in my heart.
I have been sharing the books with my kids. Having the show to share with them as well has been fantastic. Cheers 🥂 to the next generation of Redwall inhabitants!
Loved this show as a kid! Now I can watch it with my daughter I hope she enjoys it as much as I did! And wow I forgot what PBS kids used to be able to get away with! Oh times have changed! Thank you so much for the Edited seasons put together.
the action and implied violence was one of the most underrated parts of this show! it gives the atmosphere that it was going for - evading the scourge from beyond Red Wall... this show is so epic that idk what to say. keep it like season 1 and this show will live forever!
This brings back so many memories. Watching the classics on pbs kids during the good ole days. The medieval opening song puts me to tears, its so beautiful. So much nostalgia
Yes. I certainly did. Feel free to check out the other Seasons. They're presented in the same fashion. Thank you for the compliment! I did it, so people can watch the Seasons all in a single view, rather than having to go through 13 videos per Season.
I used to watch this as a kid on VHS and I loved it so much, but I never got the full season. This is why I love the internet, so that I may rediscover what brought me joy when I was younger. That intro gets me every time.
Please don't mention that horrid show in the presence of this one. Game of Thrones is sick. It has a completely unnecessary plot and it needs to be banned for life.
@@ViceKnIghtTA uh...banning fictional stories is the definition of being crazy dude, sorry. I understand not bringing it up for a show primarily for children based on a book series also primarily for children, but the idea of banning stories you don't like "for life" because of their content is quite possibly the easiest way to paint yourself as a dangerous person with an incredibly simple mind. Just don't watch or read it. Simple. There is no such thing as an "unnecessary" plot. The plot is always necessary because it's the basis of a story, and not every story has to give you a message(even though GOT does that incredibly well)
That was insane! I was hooked from the start of the episode all the way to the end. I love the writing, speech, and detail. I am sure that this iteration would make the OC quite proud. I love it - especially the party! It honestly reminded me of being a kid. The depth that appeared in this version is outstanding, please, keep up the good work!
I just binged this entire season. I'm writing a story similar elements- anthropomorphic animals, vaugley medieval setting, lots of dark stuff- and thought I'd watch a few episodes of Redwall for inspiration, because what the hell. And before I knew it, I'd watched the entire first season. No regrets
I used to watch Redwall when I was really young, then forgot about it. Around 6 years later I discovered the books and supposedly a whole new world. Couple years into reading the series, I remembered the animated episodes and started watching them again. This brings back such a comforting feeling of home and nostalgia
I literally watched this every day. Omg I'm so happy right now. I was thinking of Basil Staghair (Idk how to spell it) and then this popped into my head...it's so brutal but it was such a good show.
Hey, no problem! Enjoy the entertainment! That's what it's there for. Also, feel free to Comment your favorite moments. I have loads of them, mostly the Matthias and Cornflower moments.
Thank you for uploading this! I watched it as a kid, and after Netflix announced they’re going to make a Redwall series I had to find this show again 💜 One of the best and most underrated cartoons from PBS!
oh man. I remember this show from years ago on PBS... all those rainy days up in Oregon, watching it from the tv in my parents room while they watched the news downstairs. those were the good old days.
Cluney didn't have a lot of depth besides being evil, but he was definitely a worthy antagonist for the show. Setting up Cheese Theif to be assassinated in his place after finding out he was a traitor is some Game of Thrones shit. The writing is too smart and violent to be a kids show
oh yeah big agree. the guy doesn't have a lot of depth and is a pretty standard villain but he makes up for it to be very smart and clever, that more than enough makes up for it in my book
WHAT?!! I grew up with these amazing stories, I’ve been listening through all of them again as a 22-year-old, and I _never knew_ they were adapted to film???????!!
Even a kid appreciates when the media they watch doesn't treat them like a drooling moron with a braincell and a half. They can't understand or put it into words why when they're small, but once they grow up it'll be those handful of cartoons which they'll remember fondly. It's so disheartening seeing how cartoons like Redwall have basically become relics of the past. Cartoons that aren't afraid to show kids themes which they may consider slightly scary or uncomfortable. Turn on a kids channel these days and everything new that you see is safe and/or brain numbing to such a radical extent that it makes you wonder whether they were meant to be engaging for children or for pets. Seriously, Redwall is such a beautiful example of what kids' shows are supposed to be.
I'm glad people still remember this old show; it deserves appreciation. It never got much (if any) mainstream recognition. But I think it aut' to go down in animation history as a classic.
This is one of those shows that you vividly remember playing in one of those metal rolling stands that had the old TV and VHS in one of the classes you rotated to like music or art class in 3rdish grade and the whole class would get exited about it but then the teacher would say it was for the kindergarteners then pause it and you never found it ever again. This is that show for me 19 years ago and it's so nostalgic...

@@superdog1227 Wow really ?! Is it show still going on?!
Thanks dude, it'll be interesting to remember childhood, and compare old and new episodes! :D

If you think this is good, you should read the books - they’re even better!
That snake is a LOT bigger than a fox.
@@JediMaster362 Асмодеус это демон
Bad af!!
I remember my little brother and I would watch this show together it’s been so long since I’ve seen it :)
We used to sit in the playroom together pretending to be our own characters we made up and cut up potatoes we made out of Moon Dough since my brother was allergic to play-doh, we would talk about how worried we were about what the rats were doing to do next and gossip about other characters in the show or ones we also made up

Yeah same here. I'm binge watching this show, then going onto my kindle and downloading the entire series. Piece of my childhood. Good memories.
They're actually more violent in the books then the actual tv show
Nice can Learn samthing New,
Was there a season based off of mossflower? That’s the only book I actually have Partaken in.
They have them all on audible too! It's so great! I love this series so so much, started reading in 4th grade haha
Yo, this is Game Of Thrones type brutality. Just without emphasizing it
How do you mean?
JediMaster362 How they just threw the fox out of redwall and said "we'll let Clooney decide" knowing damn well that he doesn't even care about his own. Like how he left Shadow for dead. And they heard them kill her and just walked away without a second glance.

I brought this on myself by reading comments, still thanks for nothing
I remember watching the first 3 episodes back in fourth grade.
Here, here. In the book he basically told Cluny to go F himself.
Mices and Rattys aren't best buddies 😕
I HATED how passive and weak father Abbot was
@@Arciliosfr fr I love his interpretation in the book a wise mouse who knew it when violence was necessary and when not but I do love how they included cornflower more making her and Matthias dynamic more natural than out of nowhere

The fight scenes are obviously heavily toned down from the book, but damn, that badger lady just throws rats and bites a guy's head off, this show was pretty brutal.
Oh, goodness the overwhelming nostalgia, Myrtle's tragic death crushes my heart EVERY SINGLE TIME!!

One brilliant part of this was that the voice of Matthias hit puberty between this and season 2 (Mattimeo) so his voice deepened, so then when it came Matthias would sound like an adult/Matti's father while keeping the same voice actor in just a couple years
I honestly thought it was a different voice actor. Yikes. But, no. It's the same guy for each Season.

This just popped up on my feed. I've never heard of this show. I'm definitely going to check it out. First thoughts after watching pat of the intro - looks like a quick Secret of N.I.M.H. art style, but more fantasy and common art style of a TV show, less modern day and art style of a movie.
I remember seeing this when I was younger. It was on channel 54 back then.

I always wanted a open world rpg like game for the world of redwall. Could pick several different species and different classes it would be so fun. It would have to be rated T though and there would need to be some blood but nothing to much. Would still be fun.
Damn dude a red wall rpg is a great idea i would definitely play it.
Absolutely. Ive thought about being a game designer just for this series
Overgrowth is good but not ow
Closest thing is the TTRPG; Mouse Guard

i have a very vivid memory of my childhood, but this one specific thing, this animated show in particular always eluded me. i could recall especially impressive scenes, entire episodes and even the soundtrack. but i could never - for the life of me - quite bring it's name back into memory. i actively recall childhood memories so that i never forget them, but i gave up on this over 15 years ago. this is inconsequential in the grand scheme of my life, but simultaneously means so much. no matter how small, i've regained a portion of my childhood that i'd just written off as a tax paid to the passing of time. thanks, dawg.

I haven't read this in over 25 years but remember it was not Matthias's habit that didn't fit, it was his sandals!
“I love you Methuselah”
Yep that one still breaks my heart. What absolutely brilliant voice acting there as well.
This series needs to be remade for TV properly. Yes, Redwall was a kids' book series, but more in the classic European folktale sense, with bloodshed and trickery. You can't condense that into 23-minute episodes within the limitations of Saturday morning television.
On the other hand; very nice that they managed to create the story they did within whatever limitations were dealt to them.
Phantasmagora True, but they did a good job trying
And with 3-D animation, the cartoon animation just isn't adequate for bringing the books to life. Even stop-motion a la Fantastic Mr Fox would be fine
Used to watch this show every morning before going to school, such a great show
I loved this show, and still do!!

The voice acting is simply delightful to hear.

He does a lot of things right, it’s just either luck or equal brilliance that beats him. I’m glad someone else noticed!
Damn, I watched this series literally 15-16 years ago. I’m crying and enjoying it now. Thank you so much 🖤
I used to read these books as a kid but i never knew that there was an animated series or they just didnt show it here . I remember how i allways wondered how the size differences work but this gives a good picture :D

I think some animals are larger while others smaller. No way is a real badger or hare almost same size as mice.
Me too.
This show ruled so much on Sunday mornings back in early 00’s.
Finally finding this made me confident that my childhood memories are not some weird dreams
Yes! I was like "that's a tiny horse!"
Apparently that was the case--I've heard that he wasn't sure at the time he was going to write more than that first book, hence why there are several oddities when it's compared to the rest of the series.
He wrote the first book for a school of blind students, so he used familiar animals of varying sizes to allow them to be "seen" easier.
This show raised me in primary school 😅😅😅those days were great

If you watched this as a kid there's a 100% chance you like Game of Thrones. Except season 8...we dont speak about that one.
What season 8?
Please don't mention that horrid show in the presence of this one. Game of Thrones is sick. It has a completely unnecessary plot and it needs to be banned for life.

💯
@@ViceKnIghtTA uh...banning fictional stories is the definition of being crazy dude, sorry.
I understand not bringing it up for a show primarily for children based on a book series also primarily for children, but the idea of banning stories you don't like "for life" because of their content is quite possibly the easiest way to paint yourself as a dangerous person with an incredibly simple mind. Just don't watch or read it. Simple.
There is no such thing as an "unnecessary" plot. The plot is always necessary because it's the basis of a story, and not every story has to give you a message(even though GOT does that incredibly well)
@LiftedGamingLoL jesus, don't take a rant about disliking a show/book so litterally.
I just want to point out this rabbit solo'd the entire rat army and had ample opportunity to kill their commander and end the war.

And before I knew it, I'd watched the entire first season. No regrets
I used to watch Redwall when I was really young, then forgot about it. Around 6 years later I discovered the books and supposedly a whole new world.
I'm the same age and just found out Redwall existed at all, wish I knew about it as a kid!
Just heard an animated adaptation is coming to Netflix! Eulalia!
