For my understanding Kekvin is not so right about the best LC for FireFly. Ofc her best is her own LC, her second best being Aeon LC for the High atk, then Misha LC for the Break effect but the crit rate being not so useful since she's doesn't need crit rate or dmg and recommending SAM LC is absolutely foul💀. If you read superbreaks description in-game it tells you it's unaffected by "DMG increase" buffs. No hate to Kekvin I just found it funny, bcs you do expect the LCs with the characters face on them to be their best but SAM LC for FF I think is the worst choice for LCs.
I think it was supposed to be an alternative - such as the preservation one is a F2P alternative for Aventurine - during her first version where she was still more of an hybrid. But nowadays yeah, it became useless.

@MageGus I don't think Kekvins intention was to "sell" anything, like he said it's obvious the character LC is going to be the best, but still gave other options to use with reasons he thinks they are viable even if some of the reasons aren't correct. It was just a simple mistake imo he's trying to get new content out as fast as he can, so small mistakes like these aren't that surprising.

@@ducktesthe lc doesn't really give anything useful to FF, it doesn't provide atk or BE and FF is a superbreak dps and superbreak doesn't take buffs into account for its damage but scales on BE so it doesn't do anything except slightly boost her damage

From what I’ve heard from other TCs, the Herta destruction LC is actually an incredibly good alternative to her signature since it synergizes so well with Firefly’s trace. She gets bonus Break Effect for every 10 attack past 1800. Herta LC gives a shit ton of attack plus bonus damage on weakness broken enemies. I don’t think the bonus damage works on her super break damage but regardless, It’s her 2nd best in slot from closed beta testing at least.
The Herta LC is so broken as a free LC for FF that they had to nerf the atk and break Effect conversation 😂

Firefly vs Acheron is the New Jingliu vs DHIL Imo (Ie: DPS per cycle vs DPS per Screenshot). Except FIrefly has way more room to grow with Future supports (Ofc those Oriented to Break/Superbreak) then Jingliu has with the Harmony roster due to her limitations in DPS growth with having a lot more Crit Damage on her build (Cuz her 50% CR buff) and having lots of ATK in her state.
Though whatever they are cooking with Jiaoqiu, Firefly will be able to Uilitize him better then how Jingliu Uilitzes Sparkle (Sustainless comps at least cuz it's hard to separate RM or HMC from FF then it is to Replace Gallagher with Jiaoqiu) mainly because Defense shred up to 100% is never bad for a Break team, while Jingliu is saturated in ATK & Crit Damage.
Bruh ff is nowhere close to Acheron… ff is same as jingliu and boothill overall

Yeah no she isn't the number 1 DPS, not even close.
Shes SUPER strong on her perfect team in the current MOC, but outside that shes just pretty strong, and against enemies that can lock their break bar shes useless just like Bootyhill.
Acheron smokes her in 90% of content.
Also Flames Afar LC is close to the worst possible choice for her, she can't use the damage increase at all because it doesn't apply to super break damage, to the point shes actually better with 'off path' LCs with massive atk values (Acheron) than she is with that LC.
there are like 2-3 enemies who lock their weaknesses, and usually firefly will break them before they get to lock them plus she implants fire weaknesses so she can literally "smokes" all of content
@@miggggguel And what happens when they add more? What if 2.4 adds a bunch of enemies that have three toughness bars and a bunch more who lock their toughness bars? What happens then?
The whole point is that a character that is rendered useless this easily is not the most broken character in the game, not even close.
@@EloyBushida The toughness bar lock aint permanent init. you can easily remove them by doing things. its like saying acheron is useless because enemies has super high effect res and cant receive debuffs
@@miggggguel You can build around effect res, and the difference between ulting every 2 turns and every 3 turns is not the end of the world. IF they ever made a boss IMMUNE to debuffs (which also means immune to DOTs) the player base would riot and try to burn down HOYO HQ lmao.
I can see you're really a huge fan of Firefly so you can't help but try to defend her against what you see as an attack, but let me assure you I also really love her and will be pulling for her E2S1. That doesn't change the fact that she is situational, and can be indirectly nerfed SUPER easily in the future, I just think its important that people understand that and no CCs are talking about it. I also think its important people understand the current MOC is custom built to make her look significantly stronger than she actually is as well. Again this is not me saying she is bad, she isn't bad, shes just not the most broken character in HSR, not even close. That's Acheron or Ruan Mei, and its not a particularly close competition.
@@EloyBushida Theres videos going around firefly vs locked enemies and she still performs better than most dps and it doesn’t affect her overall damge. Ofc hoyo is going to make an moc that fits the new character like they have always done to all characters before. And if you saw the video where she clears all moc from 1.0 to now she still clears every content even without buffs from moc. In my opinion people are overestimating acheron because she is hiting 1mil but doesn’t know that there are 6 enemies ofc shes gonna hit high. and her ult takes like 1cycle if E0. But firefly easily breaks characters, the fastest DPS and take like 4 turns every cycle and every turn she deals 400-700k. thats almost like 2mil every cycle.

Hey, Kekvin, good video, but just so you know, Flames Afar is NOT a good light cone for Samfly. DMG bonuses don't apply for Break and Superbreak, and even if they did, since she can't drain hp during the Enhanced state, she will burn through the buff's duration. Moral of the story is: Don't use Flames Afar

I started game 3 days ago and lost my 50/50, i hope i can collect enough stellar jades for her
If you joined a month ago you woulde've got 30 pulls sadly
i started playing over a year ago, won my 50/50 and skipping her, currently over 250 pulls saved for jiaoqiu

Do you recommend pulling for e0s0 Firefly or Ruan Mei's Lightcone? She's already E1.
FF E1 is better due to def ignore, combine that with RM E1 and ur FF will hit like a truck. RM with S5 MOTP should be enough.
RM S1 is kind okay for utility only (+1 sp every ult & dmg boost), I have RM E0S1 and she's great at regenarting sp for sp heavy team.
depends on how many copies of motp do have, if you don't have another copy for htb then might aswell try getting her lightcone since the lc banner will run with motp as well, you can also try the 120 spd mei with vonwacq and her lc for 0 cycle build!! (and her lc is cracked for pf with multiple waves), but I'd suggest getting firefly first since she is a great break dps and we only have 3 break dps so far (only if you like her tho bcs at least for me waifu comes first), good luck on your pulls!

She also has her own Super Break from her Trace which gives 35/50% when her BE hits 210/360%. And since she's paired with HMC, imagine if they give her 100% Super Break. A stacked 200% Super Break would be crazy. But I wish they would BUFF her Super Break just so we can use HMC in other Break teams

best lc for her are her lc and the on the fall of an Aeon. Attack% important for her passive for more BE%
Flames Afar lightcone (the one with SAM's face on it) is NOT a good lightcone for Firefly.
Her second best in slot is Fall of an Aeon (Herta shop). She does big break damage, but her normal/crit damage is laughable (by design). Damage bonus does almost nothing for her unless it specifically says "BREAK damage bonus".

Flames Afar is not a great option for her. The damage from the passive does next to nothing for her. It doesn't affect break damage.
So does her Enh Skill count as Ult DMG?
Because if so the upcoming Fire Nihility Char buffs Ult Damage as well as applies Def Reduction Debuffs, also his Talent allows for Healing as a Nihility character, so pretty strong

I Doubt it, Though if you wanna make sure, choose both Elation Ult and a Elation aftertaste Blessing and check for sure if your not sure.

It's gonna be hard to separate Firefly from her core of RM and HMC. You could argue a sustainless run is possible, but Xueyi only gains one stack from any ally that isn't her, and she's not gaining Stacks whenever the Enemy is Broken & it is easy to Break the enemies with Firefly.

Did you actually recommend the craftable LC? That is absolutely trash on her. Her break damage does not scale on damage bonus. You might as well run a LC from a different path that has high base attack.
Best for Firefly is signature followed by Aeon and the misha destruction LC at S5 which gives BE.

It is part of her kit now. She can do Super Break on her own.
FF actually has a small super break in her kit. Only a 50% compared to the huge one from HMC of around 150%. Also these can be triggered separately so having both on a team gives both triggers of super break.

so... flames afar isn't good on ff because it doesn't scale with anything it needs (BE or atk) indelible promise is actually good (BE and F2P, s5 is not bad too) but on the fall of an aeon is the best f2p (as you said, atk% + her bonus trace)
+ some buffers won't work with ff, like robin, sparkle (tingyun is not that good too) hanya and asta are good f2p options (both give speed which iir can activate the relic set)
firefly is whatever to me (she like hyv is begging us to like her), but it makes me sad that the break-focused relics are just for firefly, rather than being good for boothill as well. ofc boothill is still a good character, but hyv decided they like firefly better and gave her everything so she could be top tier meta-wise. it’s really sad to me.

Pull Ruan Mei first. She is a major improvement for firefly and a ton of other teams. Firefly is just another dps. Will get power crept soon anyway. Firefly without Ruan Mei is very underwhelming.

I am, I originally wanted to pull Sam/Firefly, but after seeing her Gameplay from the beta. (From ofc leakers (Or what I like to call them Dreamers) It soured any desire to pull Firefly/Sam, as I don't like Firefly/Sam's break playstyle. I prefer Boothill's Break Playstyle, and My Topaz is already serving me very well in MOC (& Himeko is serving me Pretty well in Pure fiction). So no need for Firefly for Elemential coverage.
I am skipping as well because I alr got boothill and haven't got ruan mei yet so im saving my jades for ruan mei
