If you are going to build the motor, I’d recommend doing connecting rods and other bottom end components when you want to build some serious power because the bottom end in an lbz isn’t as tough as an lly/lb7
@ oh I hear yea I would do a 4l80e tho because you gotta run a body lift for the Alison if you don’t want to cut your trans tunnel plus idk how the Alison will work with the lift you got on
@@donaldtaylor8055 should work depending on the cross member modification and yeah might need a slight body lift its about 2 inch higher from what ive seen
@@donaldtaylor8055 4L80E is junk there’s a reason why the Allison was built for the duramax my guy. As a guy would sells used auto parts 4L80e isn’t the way to go for this the 1000 ally is a great choice less computer crap for that one as well.
Easier to grab a wrecked parts truck, or one thats rusted one (easy to find for you) But you can use most the wiring if not all and just give er hell bud

Why don’t you get a trans adapter for the 4l80e ? I know the Alison would be better but a 4l80e would be easier
Totally ! But my truck have a 4l60e so as doing the dmax swap im gonna upgrade the transmission
