I remember the time when Sony was saying they don't want crossplay because they want a safe, inclusive environment for their players. Then the epic v apple lawsuit happened and it came out that Sony didn't want crossplay because it would force everyone and their friends to play games on the same console, which is most likely Playstation given their market lead with the ps4. It took until Epic Games strongarmed them into allowing crossplay for fortnite to get the ball rolling, and every other developer used that as leverage for their own games to get crossplay.
If everyone and their friends are most likely to play in PS4, then why didn't Sony want crossplay? That seems counterproductive, since Sony would sell more of their consoles if that's the assumption.
@@aaronbozack830 Assuming Microsoft is telling the truth. I also don't want the Call of Duty deal, where Playstation will guarantee have COD for 10 years. I want that 10 years to be lifetime. There's no reason, if this happens in the future, for COD to go console exclusive to Xbox.

It's about both, hence why Sony can leverage governments against MS on this case on market "fairness" since you know monopoly is bad. But since both got money, they can lobby to their hearts content to sway the politics.
Actually there are so many people who hate the monopoly Disney has created and have been calling it out for decades. The difference here is no one was forced into a lawsuit over it.
In both politics and business you will see an intense amount of hypocrisy. "Everything we do is great and good and everything they do is bad and evil!"
All exclusives they built themselves from studios they funded from the start. What popular multiplatform video game IP has Sony purchased and made exclusive?
People keep talking about Sony exclusives, yet Nintendo seem to get pass on everything. - F with TH-cam? Very few people talk about it. - Create a trash game? 10/10 Master Piece! -IGN! - F up entire E-sports field by marketing video games as kids toys? Silence for decades. Nah, I have never owned PS and never will and I'm still fine with their exclusives. Btw, have you noted how the exclusive titles seem to get better review scores?
To me the issue is one of multi billion dollars companies buying each other up and pushing us towards a landscape of less choice... Monopolies are not a good thing and we shouldn't be cheering their formation on.

While console exclusives are dumb, i don't mind it if the IP was essentially developed through the console owner. Taking decades old established IP's to your side is another beast in and of itself. Without any regulation on MS acquisitions, their buying power presents a serious threat to everyone in the console market and an even bigger threat in the cloud gaming market where Microsoft is currently dominant.

The disagreement ultimately led to the cancellation of the joint project and Sony's decision to develop their own game console, the PlayStation The disagreement over the choice of game storage medium was also a factor in the split between Sony and Nintendo. Most people just do PC now. Consoles are absolutely on life support. Playstation exclusives end up on PC a year or 2 later and nobody cares about their exclusive game modes like they kept doing with COD. Xbox is kinda pointless because it's all available on PC and gamepass is cheap as fuck. At least Microsoft actually puts consoles into stores tho. Haven't seen a PS5 in almost a year unless you order it online and ship to store unless you get a used one. Nintendo is the only console worth buying. I had enough cash to pick any console and instead bought a decent computer and a switch for just slightly more than one console. Best choice I've made.
I think in this specific situation, it is actually unfair for Microsoft to merge with Bethesda. I absolutely love franchises such as DOOM, and surprisingly DOOM has been on PS a lot longer than its been on Xbox. As someone who plays on playstation, I'd be pretty pissed if a new DOOM gets announced and it's Xbox exclusive Now, playstation games. The difference is that insomniac, naughty dog, santa Monica etc. Have always been owned by PS, even years before Xbox existed. So when a new spider man or GOW comes out, for people who play Xbox, it isn't like it's been one of their favourite video game franchises for years. If games like RDR for example suddenly became PS exclusive, I completely get it, that's pretty shit and unfair. Xbox players have been playing games like that for years. But imagine how terrible it is for someone like me, who loves DOOM and Elder scrolls, to might not be able to play those games in the near future It's just a bit shit when you know Microsoft are only doing it so they can have their own Xbox exclusives. There's nothing wrong with Bethesda making completely brand new IPs for xbox, like starfield for example, but making a game in a series that is VERY popular on Playstation aswell and turning it into an Xbox exclusive just seems cheap and really unfair. I also don't see how it would benefit Xbox and Microsoft, all its gonna do is make more people dislike them
@moneybag97 😑 Early Edit: I could be wrong about them always being owned by Sony,(not 100% sure, although considering its called sony studios itd be pretty strange if they werent) but they absolutely existed before Xbox did
The difference is Sony's exclusives are all mostly by their own studios or ones they've exclusively worked with for years. MS is just buying a whole ass publisher worth of games to compete.
Yup, stock holders who dont do anything to contribute to society and only bring is down this dark path of wage slavery and monopoly. Got to love it. Asmon isnt helping anyone but line his stock holds with this shit and he knows it.
Fuck that the merger is terrible for consumers. It just puts more power in the hands of fewer people. Then when gaming starts to decline or the company makes poor decisions, the entire AAA sector goes instead of just a piece of it.
His comment isn't shocking. Whether or not Microsoft is offering a deal for Call of Duty, by allowing the merger you're allowing them to have a significant amount of control over the market. And even if Sony gets a five or ten year deal, what's stopping Microsoft from not making a new deal? Nothing, since it'd be their right since they own the thing. It's the same reason there were people opposed to the Disney-Fox deal. It's creating one super company (a monopoly). The deal shouldn't go through if you want a healthy market, whether or not you like Sony.
Studios that are acquired by Microsoft make better games (because the funding is massive), if anything this will create a better market? Lets say that after 5-10 years (that's 5-10 cods because they make a new cod every other year) Microsoft can make another deal, who cares? Horizon, God of War, Spiderman, last of us, uncharted, ghost of tsushima, and like 90% of Sonys games and studios are ALL exclusives? The market won't be restricted, hell Sony didn't want crossplay in general, then the some legal thing went on between Apple and Epic come to find out Sony didn't want people to play on other consoles and would basically force people to buy a playstation specifically to play with their friends. We all know why Sony doesn't want these deals to go through, it's not because the market would struggle (even with both companies signing huge contracts, the market has only exploded in content) Sony is simply afraid of people jumping ship, and going to microsoft. The market is the best it's ever been for gaming, and the last ten years prove it. Hell, the last five have been AMAZING for publishers.

This merger is so funny to me. People support a trillion dollar company trying to establish monopolies on all of their business fields to fuck up a billion dollar company because it might has a monopoly in a single business field.
I feel like people miss the point with First Party PS Exclusives. They own the studios that make them, own the IP, and decide to put them on their system. Nothing wrong with that. That said, what they do with stuff like Forspoken, where they pay to make sure it's not on other consoles, is wrong, which is no different than what Microsoft is trying to do here. Microsoft failed to foster its own exclusives, so its new strat is to throw money at it. Microsoft is horrible at managing gaming IP, so I'm really lost why anyone would want this to go through.
It's completely different because Forspoken isnt an established multiplatform IP. Microsoft is making massive IPs like TES and Fallout exclusive. They'd almost certainly make COD exclusive eventually if they successfully acquire the IP. That's not at all similar to Sony buying the rights to a brand new IP since there's no fanbase for the game yet.
@@Zack-vi7is Still, I will support MS more than Sony purely because of how childish Sony fans act whenever exclusives get PC ports. MS also allows PC ports right away thanks to Game Pass, so I am really glad. Honestly, if only MS could buy Sony it's be good, only good monopoly.
Its not about exclusives, its about market share and what Microsoft usually does whenever they achieve market leadership. They already have monopoly on PC and almost one in cloud services (Amazon has a different side of Cloud), we don't want Mircrosoft to have this much power. Sony isn't nearly as dangerous. @@MrBeefTot187 not BS. COD is the best selling game every year by far unless Rockstar releases a game. Of the top 10 best selling games of the 2010s, 8 of them were COD entries. COD occupied 10 of the top 20 best selling games of the 2010s, and two other current Microsoft IPs, TES and Minecraft, were also top 20. Sony owns just one IP now that was a top 20 best seller of last decade, Destiny. Microsoft owns (or will own if the merger goes through) 3 franchises that occupy like 70% of the top 20 best sellers of last decade.
Really hope the merger goes through. I don't even play on a console, but this would knock Sony down a few notches, possibly bring more of their exclusives to PC to not fall behind, and could make the market more competitive as Sony would be maybe not forced, but somewhat compelled to actually make a good FPS of their own. And this is besides the changes that would most likely come to Blizzard should MS acquire them, which could restore their status as a studio that produces good titles
Industry mergers are almost never good. The idea that Sony will suddenly change their tune and "make a good FPS of their own" is silly, tbh. At best, sony loses a bunch of money and the industry continues as it is, but with (normally) worse working conditions for low level employees, and an upcharge on something like gamepass due to all these new games - something gamers will accept because gamepass is currently cheap, but was still ultimately worse for them.
Yeah, Sony literally only makes Third Person Story games. Whenever you think of a sony exclusive, it all follows the same exact format. Third person, relatively barebones combat that is just good enough to get through it, then have a very good story with decent graphics. That is their niche IMO. You can basically experience their games just by watching all the cutscenes in order on youtube. Last of us, God of war, uncharted, horizon. All basically the same exact game formula with a slightly different spin, though I don't find Horizon's story near as interesting.
This does almost nothing for PC considering 1. Microsoft for the past several years have given up on console exclusivity and basically have accepted the PC community as part of their market because Microsoft Windows ofcourse, they understand PC is a fairly large market. And 2. Activision side was already making their game's on PC (because they want to be on all platforms) and Blizzard side primarily made PC games to begin with. Essentially nothing changes for what PC players actually get. The only real potential change that comes with the merger is that someone will finally be over Activision-Blizzard, so they'd more than likely have a leadership change. As you touched on, this would be better for the companies image but more importantly they might actually try to make good games again.

The way I see it - for games like Spider-Man - Sony is 100% funding the bill for that game to happen, through their 2nd party studio. Same with how Bayo3 was funded by Nintendo through Platinum. People are just mad because they dont understand it. If the games are good people are going to buy them and it gives zero incentive to make them multi-plat outside of more money or planning for the future. Not only that - we are already moving in this direction tremendously. Sony has finally acknowledged the playerbase of Steam and has released many of their 1st party games on it. Its only a matter of time until God of War, Spider-Man, etc etc is day one steam.
Day 1 Steam won't happen anytime soon for big Sony 1st Party games. If ever. They want to sell as much Playstations as possible, while also getting a bite from PC cake. So expect a year delay of at earliest 1 or 2 years. Returnal came after less than 1 year, but that's hardly a mega seller
Why are people so mad about a company having an exclusive product? Umm if you have something others don't and people want it isn't that the point. To have the better or more wanted product? You don't see the McRib on a Burger King menu do you? It doesn't matter, businesses will produce and consumers will consume. At the end of the day MS. and Sony will still make their money and we will give it to them whichever side you are on.
People are mad about a company making a product that isn't currently exclusive into an exclusive. Because it forced people who are fans of that product to buy a completely different platform in order to play it. It sucks for consumers.

Talk about fairness in the grounds of unfairness. If SONY didn't make exclusives then naturally most of the players would move to pc, so how is it fair exactly that despite making games for your console brand, if made available to other platforms then it's almost guaranteed that the majority of players would rather play it on the pc. How exactly is that fair? They put in the work but all the profit goes to a different company. It's both being fair and business wise, why tf would you think it would be a good idea for them to let themselves get dominated by PC. Deadass the takes Asmon makes is he tries to be relatable as much as he can to his audience where it comes to a point where it's basically just tunnel vision. Your "takes" you find to be in consideration of everyone despite it doing the exact opposite. Literally taking "PC Master race" to whole other level with the "My platform is the only one that deserves to survive" and "My platform is better and you need to do these schemes to even catch up to it" it almost sounds familiar hmmm... Point being is that you act like you care so much in these situations but also being one sided at the same time. You complain about your side not getting the benefits they're getting while having no consideration of how the other side would fare if that were to happen. "I think there's definitely something wrong with that" You only think it's wrong, but without your opinion is it really?
PlayStation having a number of high quality exclusives is unfair but Microsoft owning over 50% of the triple a western video game industry is totally fair and good actually…
I don't know for me it seems dangerous that Microsoft is only large company on video games market, and they have enough cache to monopolize all of it. It would be another topic if Apple or Google(for example) were in the market as well. But while Microsoft's competitors are much smaller companies, I think such insanely big deals are not healthy competition
Most of Sonys games are actually created by in house Sony studios which is why they are exclusive. Games like Final Fantasy Remake and 16 being exclusive is a bit BS though. I’ve just been going gaming PC paired with steam deck, PS5 and switch though so exclusives don’t really effect me. Shouldn’t be exclusives though unless they are first party studios and even then it’s a mistake to not have them eventually come to PC. Sony has gotten the message. Wish Nintendo would wake up and do this since they insist on underpowered consoles. Nintendo is the company I wanted most to start putting their stuff on PC. You can get their back catalog anyways on PC no reason to not make their own PC app that sells NES & SNES games for $5-$10 dollars so owning them legally on Pc is an option. Just use the NES and SNES classics UI they already have created.

Agreed, if I had to choose only my PC or my PS5 and Switch for gaming, I wouldn't think about it. Quality of games is usually higher on console, and there are so many good console exclusives. Only genre where PC is better is F2P multiplayer games, but the truth is they're worse games in comparison with way more bullshit than P2P console games
PC is simply better for gaming, there are zero hoops to jump through to make games 'run better' the default setting the game gives you is what is best for your PC. If your PC is struggling to run a game, it's your lack of hardware. A PCs life can go for 5+ years with barely any upgrades. You have to buy a console every 2 years to be able to play the same games. All the games from both companies come to PC eventually, sony just takes their sweet ass time. While Microsoft puts it on there within a year or two. I'm sorry but as someone who started out on console, I'll never go back. The options I have on PC (and the massive amount of PC exclusive games) both consoles combined have zero competition.
@@notleviathan855 it's the opposite. There are no hoops to jump through on console. You just pick up and play. @@user-jh1dc2jr2v in this instance, they are. Intentions obviously aren't noble, but the results would be better for consumers so Sony is on the good side.
@@Pilek01 they don't own 80% that's a massive exaggeration and yes, buying out the most popular IP on PS and making it exclusive would shift things massively in Microsofts favor next console generation. And beyond that Microsoft owns a massive share of cloud gaming and this would further establish their control of that market in addition to becoming bigger within the console market. Not to mention the simple fact that this merger sets a terrible precedent and opens the door for future acquisitions of this size, which Sony and Nintendo can't compete with because Microsoft dwarfs those two companies and is the only one of the three capable of buying such huge publishers. If this goes through, Microsoft almost certainly goes for Take Two, Ubisoft, and EA next. All massive publishers that Sony straight up can't afford so they can't beat MS in a bidding war for them. How many publishers and massive IPs does MS have to buy before regulators step in?

How convenient that Bloomberg released all those bombshell stories about Activision being a terrible company, sending it's stock price plummetting, just before Microsoft decides to buy it. Total coincidence I'm sure it has nothing to do with Microsoft owning many journalists and in fact and entire news network, no sirree.
Microsoft is not your savior. They've managed their IPs even worse than Activision-Blizzard. Remember Halo and Gears? Only thing you're getting out of this is game pass being more expensive so Microsoft can make some of their money back.

The hypocrisy of Sony is beyond words. They built their entire business model on securing great exclusives and now that someone else may do the same, they are shaking in their boots.
Nothing hypocritical about it because they built their own original exclusives. They didn't buy the biggest multiplatform IPs and make them exclusive. These are two entirely different things. If you're making your own original IPs you're not alienating portions of the games playerbase. By buying multiplatform IPs you're effectively forcing half the playerbase of those games to buy your platform to continue playing the franchise they previously had access to on their preferred platform. Notice Sony doesn't give a shit that Microsoft is making Halo, Forza, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, Avowed, or even Starfield exclusive. Because those games don't have an established playerbase on PlayStation. Same goes for all of Sony's exclusives.

I don't mind exclusives that are made by studios that Sony owns I'm ok when Sony funds games from 3rd party studios like in the case of Bloodborne What I think is total BS is Sony's latest trend where they pay developers to not put games on Xbox and/or GamePass There's a difference between creating your own games and making them exclusives and approaching a developers and paying to have the game only come out in PS and PC, you're not even paying for exclusivity you're just being a disk and keeping games from people I've preferred PS over Xbox and PC my whole life, but I hope the deal goes through. Don't know how it works in West, but in Asia, we prefer PC cause we can use it for works, the fact we can use it for playing games is just bonus. This is why mobile phone games are really thriving in here cause people using phone for works to, not just gaming.
Game consoles are the same exact thing as computers just with overly restrictive software for no reason other than to squeeze you for money to play a specific game or games. Just about the same price too. I can think of maybe a handful of reasons anyone would choose a console over a PC while the choice to buy a PC over a console has so many upsides. In my eyes the only reason to buy a console right now is to play the console only exclusive games. Is the $600+ upcharge on those select games worth it?
This is like Barcelona vs Real Madrid during Pep Guardiola's era. One club nurture and train players when they're relatively unknown and one just buying millions dollar players from all of the world.

How? Xbox came out after playstation to become a competitior. Other than a couple of exclusives, xbox is literally better in every other way.... UI design, controller, communication services, gaming services (gamepass), cross-play, cross-progression, etc. I mean look at playstation, they just integrated discord after xbox has had it for months, and their integration still requires you to use the discord app on your phone or computer. Why does Sony always get so much shit for having exclusives ? Especially when the actually do end up on PC, just a few years later. What about Nintendo ?
I think this is more about Microsoft as a company already being a monopoly and buying even more. Microsoft isn't a video game company, it's a software company that is already worth over 1 trillion dollars. That's the main problem not the video game market.
Also, there is the key factor of how buying Activision Blizzard (and king) is going to snowball things in favor of Microsoft (which is already a behemoth of a company, as stated).
Agreed and besides I believe Microsoft said they would still port it to other consoles even after the merge even nintendo was talked about.

Short version:
Sony wanted CD, Nintendo wanted cartridges. Sony wanted to retain control over licensing and development while Nintendo wanted to maintain their traditional control.
Long Version:
"The main reason for the split between Sony and Nintendo in the early 1990s was a disagreement over licensing terms for a CD-ROM peripheral for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Specifically, Sony wanted to retain control over the licensing and development of games for the new platform, while Nintendo wanted to maintain their traditional control over game development and distribution. The disagreement ultimately led to the cancellation of the joint project and Sony's decision to develop their own game console, the PlayStation
The disagreement over the choice of game storage medium was also a factor in the split between Sony and Nintendo. Sony wanted to use CD-ROMs, which had a larger storage capacity and were less expensive to produce, while Nintendo preferred to stick with cartridges, which had faster load times and were more difficult to pirate. This disagreement over storage medium, along with the licensing and development issues, contributed to the breakdown of negotiations between the two companies and the eventual cancellation of their joint project.."

Now, playstation games. The difference is that insomniac, naughty dog, santa Monica etc. Have always been owned by PS, even years before Xbox existed. So when a new spider man or GOW comes out, for people who play Xbox, it isn't like it's been one of their favourite video game franchises for years.

Also, Microsoft is already a monopoly in many areas. And it's much bigger than Sony.
This. How hard is it to understand this basic concept?
Studios that are acquired by Microsoft make better games (because the funding is massive), if anything this will create a better market? Lets say that after 5-10 years (that's 5-10 cods because they make a new cod every other year) Microsoft can make another deal, who cares? I feel like people miss the point with First Party PS Exclusives. They own the studios that make them, own the IP, and decide to put them on their system. Nothing wrong with that.
That said, what they do with stuff like Forspoken, where they pay to make sure it's not on other consoles, is wrong, which is no different than what Microsoft is trying to do here. It's completely different because Forspoken isnt an established multiplatform IP. Microsoft is making massive IPs like TES and Fallout exclusive. Making multiplatform IPs exclusive is not the same as making your own original exclusives. Never saw Sony complaining about Halo or Gears. Microsoft is literally just mad they can't make a decent original IP.
@@Zack-vi7is right, but I don’t want to have to pirate PlayStation games on my pc anymore.
*“Welcome to Game Theory”*
Dude did you see any studio MS bought, make good changes?
I would like to remind you of 343. Something rather recent that proves MS is bad

If ever.

Lots of things happening, yet nothing is changing.
I'm sure Microsoft won't make any of those games exclusive like they did with Bethesda
@Zack I agree it does suck. But unfortunately that goes back to the "we have what the other guys don't" marketing of their brand. Remember "Sega does what Nintendon't"?

@Diana Lomeli very good point. I like how Nintendo is cool with their slice of the market. They may not break numbers every time but they are innovative and consistent to their fans and let's face it the switch is a big W.

Sony makes so many games because they've bought up so many studios. They have done the exact thing Microsoft wants to do.
Both Sony and Nintendo being so anal about exclusive is just classic Japanese xenophobia. They hate Gajins and they don't want their games on our dirty ape consoles. The entire country is racist af.
FF16 being a limited time exclusive is more to do about Yoshi P wanting his releases to be flawless. They pumped out the best product they can optimized for PS5.

There's a difference between creating your own games and making them exclusives and approaching a developers and paying to have the game only come out in PS and PC, you're not even paying for exclusivity you're just being a disk and keeping games from people
I've preferred PS over Xbox and PC my whole life, but I hope the deal goes through. Sony needs to be knocked down a notch or two
xbox has also kept games of the sony platform before so dont try and keep xbox the victims here because their also guilty of doing it
@@thatmemeguy2520 this is actually the most hilarious part, during the 360 MSFT had all the exclusive deals with COD and almost every game out the .... Not to mention refused to do online play with PS, but somehow that's all forgotten because MSFT mismanaged everything after the 360
They do far more good for the gaming industry than bad and this deal going through would hurt innovation so use your brain instead of just picking sides
Microsoft just bought Bethesda, meaning all future Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Wolfenstein games are going to be PC/X Box exclusives. And now they want to buy Activision as a whole?
ItS NoT fAIR!!!
LMAOOOO
jesus christ what happened to asmon?
I bet this man has some stonks on Blizzard. Would be the only thing to explain his sudden shift in views
let the merge happen, it will be good for activision-blizzard games since they literally cannot get any worse, and it would force playstation to make better games
@@ultratronger " it would force playstation to make better games" have you been sleeping under a rock?
No don't do the merger AND illegalize exclusivity deals as anti-competitive artificial barriers to entry.
I think you cannot compare PlayStation exclusives to the xbox ones. The studio's from Uncharted, God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon, etc. have been making exclusive PlayStation games from the beginning. Microsoft is buying studios that have been making games for all platforms before, so IP's are being removed from PlayStation that used to be on there.
One hundred percent agree. I’ve had an xbox for quite some time and missed out on plenty of games and exclusive call of duty stuff because I didn’t have a PlayStation. Now that it might be Xbox’s turn, everyone is having a fit. It’s hilarious
and yet the actually good games like bloodborne will stay on playstation, who tf cares about call of duty? As a PC only player the only games I want are playstation exclusives
@@Mayu-xyxy " who tf care about CoD "
Sony ? lmao
@@quoctrungnguyen4553 more monopolies are bad in any way, I don't think people will buy an xbox over a playstation because of a game with its best days long counted, when playstation exclusives are actually good games
@@Mayu-xyxy You got like 3 good exclusives okay? Stop saying you got crazy exclusives Ratchet and Clank was a one off most people didnt even finish the game. God of War and Bloodborne are the only 2 exclusives that people use for leverage. Other than that Sony doesn't have shit.
@@itouchbuttons "You" lol I'm on PC. And the fact you can only name 2 says more about your knowledge than literally anything else
it doen't matter since the only game i buy usually a final fantasy game.. which is in Sony..i don't buy a lotbecause my game budget is like 1 game for a year..
I am not sure how true it might be but making console exclusive games might not be the best way to go about it, i assume console players will still buy it on console even if it comes to PC because a lot of people doesn't want to stress with money on a PC either, but if that's true are they losing money from it? well i couldn't tell you but it's just an interesting thought and how many people are willing to buy console for a single game or two?
Don't know how it works in West, but in Asia, we prefer PC cause we can use it for works, the fact we can use it for playing games is just bonus.
Console is just for playing, hence it doesn't really sell that much here, especially we have a lot of cafe that rent console to play it there.
Also Sony was and still is releasing lots of games for both ps4 and ps5, lmao, they know they're still not ready to fully go ps5 hahaha
When does next gen begin?
This is like Barcelona vs Real Madrid during Pep Guardiola's era. One club nurture and train players when they're relatively unknown and one just buying millions dollar players from all of the world.
imagine caring for 2 technologies company like if it's your uncle business
@@nazaG_89 imagine being aware of what's happening around your hobby, the dread.
@@nazaG_89 Did I said I care about these two companies in my comment?
guys guys guys, you're missing the whole point. competition is good, and buying the single biggest independent firm is not it
Well thats bussiness for you
Think about it.....
Its microsoft we are talking about...if u give them an inch they will take a mile.
if xbox is crying cuz of being behind is cuz they put themselves there to begin with
There isn't any real reason to pick up playstation other than it's just what you've always played on or if you live in eastern countries.
@@Lolatyou332 and yet its still has sold more. Seems to me people care about games more 🤷♂. And if you really think about there is no reason to have a xbox because a pc can do the same thing.
@@Lolatyou332 Yet it sells better in west also lol
@@Lolatyou332 what do you mean "how?" Lol. They've had several generations to catch up and MS is several times larger than Sony. MS has all of the resources at their disposal to compete and they've failed. They've ran all of their IPs into the dirt through horrible mismanagement of their studios. Xbox is trailing PS entirely because of their own failures.
@@Lolatyou332 I would say there's a big difference between Xbox and Play Station, which became the reason why Xbox took a massive hit. Xbox wants to be an entertainment system to compliment Microsoft's already massive ecosystem. Playstation is a gaming console. That online only and no physical disc thing was Xbox's massive push into being an entertainment system and it didn't work because it was too sudden. A lot of the things Xbox is marketing, developing and featuring dnt matter to gamers. Slowly but surely Xbox is bloating itself with stuff gamers dnt care about, while Playstation focuses on the games. It's one of the main reasons why a lot of ppl will say and think that Playstation is better than Xbox for gaming and it stems back to Playstation's marketing and focus, especially when PS5 was being marketed. U might be right that Xbox is better in everyway. They ain't marketing it very well and plenty of ppl outside of ur bubble think that PS5 is the way to go if u want to game.
Just make all mergers illegal. Level the playing field.
nah men. Its about fairness. the 10.1 sets are to fire. thats why a whole company cant die.
source: trust me bro.
Why is Sony made out to be the bad guy? It’s not like any of Microsoft games are on PlayStation.
Stupidest take ever. Sony only have a chose to develop their own games. They did.
Microsoft have 70$ billion dollars to develop - their own games. They chose not to, they will just buy biggest gaming company in the world.
Rare L take.
Literally the follow up comment to the one Asmon read out is prime reason as to how and why this isn’t a good take.
Edit: this style of business war wasn’t initiated by Sony, but they sure as hell got much better than the aggressor at it. Thems facts.
Exactly. Sadly, most people don't know the facts so they speak out of ignorance. They don't know how much bigger is Microsoft than Sony.
Also, there is the key factor of how buying Activision Blizzard (and king) is going to snowball things in favor of Microsoft (which is already a behemoth of a company, as stated).
and Sony isn't a monopoly?
yeah bc call of duty and wow would elevate windows and office to the next level 🤣
@@nazaG_89 no. It would let them eat more industries once they suffocate the game market.
