Looked like a fun trip! I agree on not driving more than 6-7hrs. Unless you’re on a tight schedule, it makes traveling so much more relaxing and you get to see so much more. It’s way too easy just to drive all day.

You described it exactly as I imagined it to be despite the tons of shiny, joyful van life videos I’ve seen. lol Also, since you’re a chef, I would love if you could share some recipes from time to time. And you’re absolutely correct about making a living with your hobby/passion. It takes the fun out of it. It WAS relaxing 😊. I've felt safe at all of the campgrounds I've visited, so far. I've come to realize the scariest parts of camping are the scary stories I conjure in my mind. I've watched waaayyy too many horror movies, lol. When a car drives by, or a person walks too close to my van, I definitely watch them from my window and will leave if I don't feel comfortable, but for the most part I pep talk myself and remind myself that the world isn't full of crazy serial killers, despite what the media and horror movies try to convince me!

The musical selections went so well with the scenes. I have the same rule on driving when I travel solo. The other part is drive during daylight hours. I'd have to remove the front passenger seat to have more space (that's what I did in my buick in order to put the bed there). I definitely considered it, but decided I don't want to go through the hassle of removing my front seat again.

Hello! I couldn't find a screen specifically made to fit my ford transit connect, so I found this and it fits my side doors perfectly. It might be too small for bigger vehicles. Also, the magnets on the net are not strong, so I use a couple of extra magnets to hold the screen up, but it works wonderfully. Here's the link to what I purchased: amzn.to/3sE4XFI

Thank you for all of your videos. I love vehicle life and when I lived in my truck I used peppermint essential oil and horse pellets for odor control of bathroom use. It worked great so I thought I would share that tip with you incase you want to try it.
Thank you for the tip! I always have peppermint essential oil on hand and never thought to use it for bathroom odor. This is the first I’m hearing of using horse pellets. Gonna look into it!
