My take on the review is that you being a professional reviewer affects your impressions a bit. You get sent a 100 different samples a year and listen to all the different style tunings in the world . The Volare probably sounds run of the mill to you in terms of tuning. That impression of the Volare's tuning probably soon becoming a thing of the past won't ever be felt by the average customer as he ends up choosing between 10 different sets to buy just one without any demos... A highly specific tuning like the Meteor might have lesser takers than a safer tuning of the Volare. As a first product, I think they did the right thing.
Isn't the mentality behind every new startup is "don't fuck up"? I'd gladly pay 600 bucks for a baby Annihilator but for a new brand this is a level that sits on stratosphere. It's only natural for them to play safe. Oh and let me remind you; that "safe" tuning was considered totl just 18 to 26 months ago.
Nice one Mark. The $300-600 bracket has a lot of great IEMs being released. Sets like this are going to find it hard to compete. Now with the Dusk, DaVinci and Pilgram in the mix. Really gives buyers some “endgame” quality sound from a few years back at midfi prices. Win win for the consumer. Hard for new somewhat decent entries though
Thank you for another great video, these always manage to cheer me up! Is it me, though, or the close up shots have been somewhat dark for some time now? Were there any changes in lighting or something like that recently or is my OLED phone starting to give up? I hope it's not the latter...
thanks for the review super review. I'm gonna skip on this one but your review on the mega5est made me confirm it evern further that I will get it soon. thanks bud
hey mark! do you think you'd recommend the letshuoer cadenza 4? i've been thinking of purchasing it since i've been looking for an iem with it's exact tuning for a long time but i'm not sure if there's something better. thanks again for this review btw!
I think "liars" is a pretty harsh way to describe the vast majority of reviewers. Generally my goals when evaluating products, which may differ from most others, are: (1) As best as possible, describe the product in a way most people would experience the product; even if their preferences and valuation might differ from mine, at least use words to describe the product that would be recognizable to most people who might experience the product in the future. (2) Give a valuation that I will agree with in the future. This is the part that takes the most time for me, e.g. avoiding early excitement to ensure that my valuation is one that will stand the test of time. If I love a product in the review and then a year later don't care about it, I consider that a miss on my end. These two goals are what I hope makes my reviews useful.
Have you had a chance to look into Dita audios new Project M iems. If so, what's your opinion on those. I think it would be a idea for a new review. Very few reviews on them till now.
@@SuperReview That's how you actually may impress people as an audiophile. Tell them about your $1000 IEMs and they'll look at you as a god's fool; tell them about the tech and hardware stuff and they'll see you as a nerd; let them try your ludicrously expensive gear and they will be utterly unimpressed; talk to them about tone and timbre, PRaT and whatever - they'll most likely start actively avoiding you. Show them the ways of the roadie wrap and they'll accept you as their lord and saviour. Though not these days anymore, I guess, with wireless stuff being the mainstream choice. Alas...
@@anupambphoto He would know. Guy has license his name on what 30 IEMs or something? I think it's getting kind of excessive but they must be making money on this stuff.

TH-cam comments are cool, but the real audio community is 👉 social.squig.link/
One needs to pay a monthly fee to join that community, correct?
Nope, it's free. There is an exclusive chat for supporters, but most of it is free.
@@SuperReview, great! Thank you for the prompt response.
Thanks for the review Had my Mega5EST for a couple days now, my ears have been blessed.
Meteor ftw. Bought mine a month or two ago and WOW I love this thing to bits! It completely disappears in my ear with Spinfit W1 tips (MS)
Loving the Blessing 3 and with EQ they are perfect
Been listening to those this week!

Agreed. Honestly Chopin at $200 is good enough to raise expectations for these price ranges -- I'd take Chopin over Volare, good look manufacturers!
Dusk isn't good enough to be in this mix
@@Rat0713 You’ve heard them all?
Thanks Mark. Proved me wrong again not giving 4 stars. Pretty impressive for their first release IMO. I hope I get to demo it some day.
I just can't get enough of the Meteor. For me, it's gone from a specialty tune to an everyday listen. Looking forward to trying the Mega5EST.

Just want to add that i have the same opinion as you, videos are darker, especially during presentations on his desk
Yeah it does look pretty dark, doesn't look that dark on my computer until after uploading to TH-cam. I'll compensate.

Thank you for allowing my mind to rest in pieces on this matter at least!
I wonder what may be causing this.

I can't get over the fact that you're using what looks like a Truthear Hola cable on the Mega5EST. I love that cable too 😂
It is indeed an Hola cable, and it rocks.
@@SuperReview could not agree more! I'm using the Truthear Gate cable with my 2024 Edition Letshuoer S12 right now
