These candidates will go through weight test, eye sight test, medical test, fitness test, running test, basic intelligence test, behavior and moral test, stamina and consistency test through various exercises and tasks. They would go through very rigorous training of months. Many quit before completing training. Only the best ones will pass out.

To all those questioning that if height is more important than bravery:
Height is not the only criteria for selection in army. These candidates will go through weight test, eye sight test, medical test, fitness test, running test, basic intelligence test, behavior and moral test, stamina and consistency test through various exercises and tasks. They would go through very rigorous training of months. Many quit before completing training. Only the best ones will pass out.

No, they set these rules in a country like India cause there are too many men and so they don’t just let everyone in and spend the country’s money. There needs to be a standard. If they keep lowering the height for candidates it wouldn’t be fair for people who are a few inches shorter than those who were let in.
More height = more weight = stronger
