    1) He is not a woman
    2) He is under a lot of pressure. More than you will know.
    3) He doesn’t want to “deal”with the woman when he gets home. He needs to decompress.
    4) He doesn’t need another mother. He needs a helper.
    5) He needs to be honored and respected. Acknowledged.

Amen I don't want to be contentious with my husband because he has to go out in the world and navigate especially a black man to provide for me so it's important that we do just this

What happens if it’s the woman who has to go out “conquer the world” to provide for her family? Too many disturbing presumptions in this message

    • @feliciabailey5120
      @feliciabailey5120 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

@yemi6184 if that woman agreed with the man before she married or even after his leader which is God will show him how to lighten her role that keeps her covered and supported in every way some men stay home and take care of the children because her skills set makes the most money but that man is not to be devalued in that setup he is still the head

😂I think you put up the 5 bullet point summary on the women's side of this. Thanks. I move quickly and before I had time to sit and dive deeper, this helps.
**edit, no it was someone else, but thanks still applies.**

Some gems were dropped. My advice is to Ask God to make u a better wife and He will. If ur husband is getting on ur nerves, ask God to work on u. Not him. Through all my years of marriage one revelations I’ve gotten is if I do right in my marriage, God will honor me. Even if u have a husband who is not doing right. U continue to be the wife God called u to be and watch Him bless u.

How has this worked out for you? I’m barely stepping into this mindset after being done wrong over and over.

@@jenniferwhite1516 Learning to forgive your husband is a great step towards being the way God wants you to be. Holding on to the wrong of what others do to you, will only cause you to be bitterness. Bitterness is sin. Jesus forgave us when we didn’t deserve forgiveness, choose to forgive those who have wronged you. And ask the Lord to heal and strength your mind and spirit to fulfill the Will that He has sent forth for you to do. I’ve held on to bitterness for years toward my mother for what she has done. I decided to give it to Jesus and ever since, I’ve been free from bondage and can’t care less about what others say. Because I know what Jesus says about me. ❤

21 years married - hubby and I have had NO pre counselling cause our foundation is the same. God is the head of our marriage- and because of that I e going strong. It ain’t perfect but I can’t imagine being with anyone else and he always let me know how much he loves and appreciate me. Counselling is a good thing, but not everyone needs it 😊

Purposely passing gas and not picking up after ourselves in front of anyone is inappropriate regardless of our gender.
It’s more about living more like CHRIST by being more considerate of each other as CHRIST is considerate of us even though He created us.

    • @awsambdaman
      @awsambdaman 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

As a man I agree. I think farting around others is gross and inconsiderate and leaving things everywhere is inconsiderate as well. However I do think there is room for understanding from both men and women. My wife understands that messiness does not give me anxiety the same way it gives her anxiety. So I try to help keep our home clean to absolve her anxieties and she doesn’t get mad at me if I happen to leave a few things out.

I love the content in your videos. One thing that I'd like to add is that "It takes 2 to make a thing go right." Either partner can give their ALL in making a relationship/marriage successful, HOWEVER, if only one is doing the work, it's doomed to fail. That's reality. Or, you stay... just because, and there's no peace, joy, or success in that. KEEP IT COMING....WE'RE LEARNING AND GROWING ❤

My dad was released when I was 18. It was the best day and year of my life!!! Then, what happened broke my heart into a million pieces….the cops killed my daddy. They shattered my dreams. I am 56 , 10:59 10:59 and I miss him so much. I am grateful that God is my Heavenly Father. Thank you for giving me the language of how to express what I was missing. ❤❤😢❤❤

A lot of this makes sense but I struggle to relate to it as a woman who works full time and long hours. There’s so much reference to the man “coming home after a long day’s work”. What happens if it’s the woman coming home after a hard day’s work? I’m glad the model you both have works well for you, but there’s a whole host of people this would never work for in today’s world. Also @Ken, I hope there’s also a “Tabatha day”. Wishing you both the best.

Having a well-rounded present father is important not just a father. I grew up with my dad from the age of 10. He was a single parent. At the age of 32, I had to unlearn certain behaviors and thought patterns I learned from him. I was told I can be harsh and lack emotion. I didn't know how to connect emotionally to people or even receive physical affection. I didn't know how to express my emotions. I didn't receive those from him. I am still learning.

Yes, telling me he was attracted to another woman has happened. I created a safe space for him to speak. We discussed things about her and we were able to find the root, we were able to pray about it and break a soul tie. He felt free to talk to me about a lot of things until drugs got involved. When drug use began there was no saving the marriage after all the deceit, shame, dangers that came with the drug use. We are no longer married, but before drugs, the marriage was a safe place for us to communicate. We did discuss the beginning of drug use as well but he succumbed fully to it. I chose to let him go for my own safety.

Wow, so amazing. There's a reason why God wanted me to come across this podcast. This is the second episode I've watched, and I have been so blessed. Thank You so so much, this is what I was missing and needing. God bless you and give you both more knowledge to keep teaching us these things. As a 22 years old, it is never too early to start learning about mariage and life in general as a daughter of God.

We need male men, we need masculinity in our lives. We need men to be men…… 👏🏽 Tabatha is telling the truth, because it’s a shortage in the home. Society is definitely doing a number on our men….. both of these sessions were good. Ken just also gave me something good, but men don’t open up like that and I don’t know what it will take for them to open up like that. Thank you for the insight. God bless you both ❤🙏🏽

I just found you. I watched the one on what men need to know about women too. You remind me of what I thought when I was the preachers wife. My husband would tell me he prays all day with people. He doesn’t want to pray once he gets home. After 7 yrs of building him up, being his help mate, and giving him 3 children, he told me he didn’t find me beautiful anymore, he felt he needed to sow his wild oats, was not sure he still believed in God, and he wanted me to support all that so he wouldn’t look bad. Our baby was just a week or two old.
I’ve not found men in the church who understand how to have a great relationship. I was not supported in various churches when I was looking for help. We divorced 30 yrs ago. He’s refused to parent with me, got into addictions and pulled our son down with him. It still hurts to see how this impacts our grown kids.
I still believe this is the way.
I have found that being good to a man now, he gets suspicious that I’m manipulating him. I think it’s harder to build this when we’re older. I’m 60.
I’ve been a therapist for a decade now. I specialize in communication, neurodiversity, and sexuality. I can see other perspectives now. I can see how our world is full of relationship killers disguised as good intentions. We need to bring more truth to the world.

This was truly helpful for me. What Ken said explained about all the pressures he faces as a man...made me have more understanding for my own fiance. He has tried to explain his pressures to me, but it helps to hear it from another source also. It makes me want to help reduce the load rather than add more burdens...

    Great video!
I loved serving my ex husband, I really enjoyed making sure he was satisfied but honestly there was not the same thing in return so that was hurtful. Acts of service is my natural love language so that part wasn't hard. Me not feeling loved in return was tough. How do you deal with that as a woman?
    He apologized years later.
I know God has me 🙏 Love, love 💞

You guys are a breath of freshness for any marriage. I and my ex are attempting to remarry. We have been apart for around 20 yrs. I believe GOD had gave us the want to be married again and to each other. I was guided to your ministry and it is very insightful and informative. You speak on things truthfully with a calmness that really gives you hope that when you put in the work GOD'S way, it will come to fruition. Thank you and continue to be blessed in all you do.😊

I am rather news to listening to you guys and I love the chemistry yall have. You both bring such great views and insight. I'm at a point in my 22 yr marriage that anytime we need to talk about or discuss an issue, I always get the "poor pitiful me "speech because of his past. Now I choose to not to say anything and just handle it all and deal with the outcome afterwards. Feel like we're not even close to being on the same team anymore. All I do is pray for him. Keep the good point's rolling.. love yall

I think that because so many of us didn’t grow up in families with fathers, not only does it create the feeling of “I don’t need a man” but because we don’t understand men & have never really had any examples on how to be with and work with a man in a healthy way it feeds into that feeling of a woman wanting to do it alone because it feels so much harder trying to do it with a man. It almost feels like an added stressor trying to understand, learn, teach & grow with another person who often times is just as broken & unequipped as you are . It can feel like setting the tone on your own is so much easier to withstand & control But this is not the mindset or the type of lives and families we need. The answer is truly in learning the opposite sex and learning how to partner with them.
Thank you all for these conversations!

Thanks so much for this presentation.
Can you give us a part 2?
As a Caribbean woman/ believer, I don't think we are/were cultured to treat our men/ fathers as the real king in our homes.
You see, most homes are/ were without FATHERS in them.
I am pleased to hear all of this information from a Beliver, both the man and his wife.
    This is REAL TALK ❤
