I know some female barred owls screech and there are a lot of these around. Also if you look up racoon screech/scream, it sounds plausible as well. Who knows, but it's always a good time camping!
Chris you gotta pronounce it Mike-ler lol. I grew up in palm valley where they lived and pioneered. They will yell at you for pronouncing it wrong. Great video as always.

We camped there over Christmas. The screeching was an owl. Only know because it flew to a tree at our campsite.
