Video Description:
In this video I show you how to get your own Ark server using Nitrado server hosting! Nitrado offers server hosting for PC, Xbox, and PS4/PS5. Nitrado has Ark Steam servers & Ark Epic Games servers for PC. These Ark servers provide DDOS protection and many other perks! If you were to try and host your own server, you wouldn't have DDOS protection unless taking multiple additional steps and possible buying more equipment. You can have anywhere from 10 to 200 player Ark: Survival Evolved servers for PVE or PVP and these servers also allow mods. Nitrado servers are very easy to setup and they make it super easy to change settings and add mods to these servers. Nitrado also let's you make cluster Ark servers if you want to have multiple maps that can be transferred back and forth from and to. Does server cap even matter I’ve seen servers go over cap and I have no problem joining so why wouldn’t you make the cap 10 pay cheap and more than 10 can join without a problem

There are server settings, which are pretty user-friendly that will let you change pretty much every setting/multiplier in the game. Nitrado is about to re-design their website so I can't make a video on server settings just yet, but as soon as they're done I'll work on getting a server settings video together for you! @@aaronj104 Did you try renting the xbox version of the server? Make an xbox server on Nitrado and then you join that through PC?
Hi, I know this is a little older video but I just want to ask something. if I rent a server for the first 30 days, do I lose all my belongings after the expiration or can I rent the same one again after a while. Does the server only work while my pc is on ??
You can download your servers progress on to your computer and reuse it whenever you want to rent a server again.
You have 10 days after the server ends to re-rent the server, or as the above person said, you can download your progress. The pc also doesn’t have to be on as it is hosted on a computer at Nitrado, not your own.

You can buy separate servers with however many slots & put them on the same cluster!

I think the saved files for the dedicated servers are different than the single player/non dedicated saved files

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I do have a question, my server is showing in my favorite just like you showed in the video, and I'm able to join it. However, when my friends search for it, it doesn't pull up. All the filters are correct. Is there another step for that?
They need to do the same thing that you had to do on Steam to see your server. They have to add your server IP address & Query Port to their server list.

So on the ark server are you allowed to set up so that we can have reoccurring payments. So let’s say we pay for the yearly can we get automatically charged every year so that the server stays up as long as we are paying for it.
Yep! If you plan on getting a server, using the link in the pinned comment or video description helps support the channel & doesn't cost you any extra. You can also get a discount for paying yearly instead of monthly. Nope, I just reboots it with the new settings you've changed.

Say you rented a server for a year and you have reached the end of the time frame. Once it ends do they just delete it and you have to rent another server, or can you just pay again to keep the same server running.
You have a certain amount of time after you stop paying to keep all the server files, but yes you can make recurring payments. You can also download the server files to your computer at any time just in case you accidentally change a wrong setting or delete something. I have NOT been having good luck with Nitrado for Ark. First private server and out of 3 days its only worked one. Stuck in a constant restart loop the first day to the point they had to "move me" to a "new machine" and now on day 3 I had to update a single mod and now I'm stuck in the loop again. Server has to be restarted, locks during restart, force shut down, then can't be started.
Did you shutdown the server before messing with the mod?

When all players log off the server does it pause or does it keep running? Me and the friends can't play everyday but don't want to have all our dinos die.

Could probably hit stop server if you and your friends aren't using it. Then turn it on only when you need it
You should be able to change the rate at which the dinos despawn on you.
You can start/stop the server as you please!

Hey man can you help me out? I rented a server earlier today. Bought the raptor package, I loaded up the Ragnarok map, played for a few minutes and my server crashes. It keeps crashing. I checked the file logs and it says it ran out of memory. Do I have to pay for more RAM for the server?
No you don't have to pay for anything extra once you already rented the server. I've never heard of that happening. Do you have a ton of mods on the server & also have you tried contacting Nitrado support? They usually respond pretty quick.

Yes to your first question & I unfortunately don't own a PS4/PS5. The only part that should be different in the video from the PS4 is you would choose PS4 in the beginning instead of PC & the part at the end where I'm talking about "Steam", you would be using the Sony software at that point.

If you're playing crossplay you're most likely using Microsoft Ark unless there's something new that I don't know about. For Microsoft Ark on PC, you'll rent the server through the Microsoft Store. If you're playing Ark on Steam, you would choose the "Ark: Survival Evolved(PC)" server.

Yep! As long as you use an Xbox server and bought Ark through the Microsoft store, not Steam or Epic Games store

I haven't ever had friends on Epic or had Ark on Epic so I'm not sure. Nitrado has a support team that responds pretty fast though & I'm sure they can help you!

I rented a server 2 days ago and its a base server I stopped it put a password on it and started it can't find the server anywhere and yes I have the password block checked in the ark server bord I'm at a loss I put a ticket in but have Hurd nothing back

Go to the "general" settings & you should see a dropdown menu with "Mapname" next to it. That's how you change the map. Hope this helps!

i just made a server and every time i play it it kinda freezes and it says not responding on steam favorites and in game i cant even find the server, its happened twice now and support isnt responding, are there any ways to fix this? ive restarted my pc steam ark and the server multiple times so it cant be on my end.

I don't think so, but you can make your character whatever level you want if you own the server. You can use admin commands to do tons of different stuff just like in single player.

Since you used steam can you cross play with Xbox?
Only if you own the game from Microsoft on PC, not Steam. Steam can play with players that have the game on Epic Games though, as long as there are no mods on the server
Only issue I have is that it seems like I'm paying for my own ram space vs renting someones actual server

I've tried them in the past but I couldn't figure out how to put a password on my server and then I repeatedly asked them for help and all I got was read the instructions 🙃lol I legit read the instructions and tried to do it and it didn't work I tried for 4 days lol and I kept asking for help and they never gave me it so I canceled them is it better now? Because it wasn't before the server worked perfectly I was going to start adding mods but then the whole issue is I could not add a password to my server and I couldn't get any help from them other than "read the instructions"
I got responses pretty quick about my server going into a restart loop, so idk what happened there brother. I think they're pretty good. Messing with server settings is just kind of annoying regardless of a third party company on Ark. Hope this helps!❤

You just have to figure out what settings people like the most. Go look at the most popular unofficial servers on PS5 & see what settings they have.
