sir you have mentioned in this video that we are cnsidering the flo through coarse grained soil and applied darcy law but you have mentioned in your preious lecture that darcy law is valid only for fine sands and coarse silt then how can we apply darcy law in this senario ?
Sir, i do have a querry. In capillary permeability test. Are h1 and h2 are related to x1 and x2. I mean in distance that you allocated to on the piezometer. I mean distance between the two piezometer, are random?
Yes the distance between two piezometer is random as u shift the second piezometer to end of apparatus the head loss will increase corresponding to that.... Coffecient of permeability is ratio brother
If degree of saturation is zero(dry soil), what will be the result of capillary permeability test? It will create infinity in the right side of the equation.
may i ask u a question sir?? in second test fallinghead test are the h1 and h2 are taken from same level from bottom ?? because after t2 some water also add in containr which will increase the h2 from bottom...will this uprise count in this test???
Continuity is for laminar flow only. Otherwise, in for example turbulent flow, the velocity is not proportional to the gradient. For that reason, when drawing a graphical relationship, it would be a smooth straight line curve.
15:08 Sir I think that bottom level of h1 and h2 should be different bcz of at time t1 less water is collected and after t2 water level will rise in collecting tank. I studied soil mechanics B.C. Punmia there also same problem I faced Please help
The h1 and h2 should be taken from the same reference, as we are considering the difference between these. The reference should not be necessary to consider at the collecting tank, it can be anything else.
Reference does not matter bro it is just to measure the ratio of head loss to length of flow, head loss corresponding to the initial discharge and upto the level of second piezometer
Bro water is discharged at constant rate...For pipe velocity is more area is less and for soil sample area is more but velocity is less...So u will get same discharge by continuity equation..
sir if you could upload a video on field tests too for determining permeability, it would be much more help to us.
with regards
Highly thankful sir ...
Your lecture is more helpful for exam sir
Please sir provide us more video
Thank you sir for this lecture..to the point concept...
Sir why we are using Darcy's law for gravel in case of constant head permeability test
He used it for coarse soil i.e sand
Thks so much sir .. plz cover the evry chapters of geotechnical engg.
Great content sir..keep up the good work..
Thank you sir bottom of ❤️ heart
Your lecture very useful
Helpful session sir
Which book should I prefer for geothermal engineering?
Thank you sir bahut Acha lga class concept clear Ho gya Sara
Thank you sir please do more nd do for rcc
Good knowledge ♥️
4:00 Constant head method
Awesome sir🙏🙏🙏🙏
To good sir 🥰🥰
Thank you so much sir 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so.much sir ... Best way to teach
Very very thank you so much sir, this is very helpful your this lecture
thanks alot sir 😊

same questions from me, how can we get answer??
Bro Darcy law is valid for laminar flow i.e. Reynolds number less than 2000...No matter what is the type of soil, flow should be laminar..
17:54 Nahi maan-ne denge sir 😅
Thank you sir
Sir, i do have a querry.
In capillary permeability test.

sir, when water flow through soil in capillary method, clay becomes fully saturated or 100 percent. how flow takes place???????
Best sir
sir mera ek question h kya ye sabhi 62 lectures soil mechines gate 2021 ka complete course hain
may i ask u a question sir?? in second test fallinghead test are the h1 and h2 are taken from same level from bottom ?? because after t2 some water also add in containr which will increase the h2 from bottom...will this uprise count in this test???
Perfect 👌
Very nice sir ji
Are this videos enough to prepair for gate exam.... Or I should also purchase your online course..... Plz do reply...
Thanks you so much sir please keep it up
Sir foundation ka lecture provide kejea
Thank you sir soil mechanics ki daily class chalegi sir
Sir is continuity equation used in only for laminar flow or it can be for any flow
Continuity is for laminar flow only. Otherwise, in for example turbulent flow, the velocity is not proportional to the gradient. For that reason, when drawing a graphical relationship, it would be a smooth straight line curve.
Applicable for only laminar
Nice teaching

Motu jaan ❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️
constant head
falling head
capilary permiability test
capillary permeability test formula, how did u derive that? give me the derivation link or any reference..!!
page no-153 of Soil mechanics and foundation engineering book by Dr. K.R Arora...
Sir How to determine in-situ permeability by Test Pit Method
nice
I love ur lectures sir but I don't understand it language....can't u use English for ur teachings ?
Maja aa gaya.
What is meant by capillary head?
Sir compaction how to affect permeability.. ! 🙄 Anyone ans please.. ?
sir... why discharge through the soil sample and tube is same ????
Bro water is discharged at constant rate...For pipe velocity is more area is less and for soil sample area is more but velocity is less...So u will get same discharge by continuity equation..
How I can get all video
sir Rcc ka pura lecture uplode kijiye n
Is he speaking two languages at the same time?
Sir why we insert piezometer here
To see the magic😂😂
It is inserted to measure the length of floww
q kia
Bhai tu ek language bol yr.
Or tu pakata bahot hai.
Rahem kha 2min ke liye ☹️
Bilkul jhatu smjha rhe h sir khud hi bhull ja rhe h baar baar
Thanks Sir
Thank you sir
thank you so much sir
