exactly , with that mindset , I started at 0 last year (I still am small!) , gained 300 subs for the first year , and in 2 weeks I got to around 800 , and Mark just brought me to tears making me see my future self if I don't quit , everyone can be who they wanna be they just have to stay and not quit

People that say something like that have no idea about truth. Just because *some* TH-camrs might not be "real", as is said, doesn't mean all of them are. Lack of knowledge is abundant here... that, and the sheer amount of people that are *salty*, because someone else has done something more with their life than they will ever do/be able to do, is staggering. Jealousy is the root of most *hate.*

Siktikit people around the internet claim that TH-camrs are all just an "act" to get money, and don't give a damn about anyone but themselves. Those people are the truly sad ones..

For me, it wasn't really ONE video; it was like- a slow process of getting to know a friend in real time. Whenever i got bored, i turned to your videos. Then- after a while, i used to be excited to come home and watch them everyday. So, I really just subscribed for laughs and stuff in the beginning, but then you started going on monologues about different topics, and on some i may not have agreed, but I respected you for it. You came across... Genuine; and, it was obvious that what you were talking about, whatever it may have been at the time (since there's been several different occasions), it was important to you. It felt like it was important for you to tell us. It felt like it was important for us to listen. I can honestly say that you, and a lot of other youtubers, are like family figures to me. And, in saying this, I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. Know that you're loved and believed in, Markiplier. For whomever I'm speaking for, thanks for choosing to be our family.

It's 2023. I've been here since right before the first Dead Space playthrough. Mark's videos have been in my life since before I was out in the world on my own. Since before I met my wife. Since before I had a daughter. My daughter is 7 now, and watches Mark with me. It's insane, to watch from the sidelines as someone pushes themselves to succeed, and to see it from almost the very start, and watch them stay humble through it all. And this video was 5 years ago. Mark's got 34 MILLION subscribers, now. And through that all, he stayed humble, he always appreciated his fans, he always did his damnedest to stick to the quality of content he wanted to put out at the start, and continues to put out now.

And I stuck around because at the time in my life, you were the ONLY person I was looking forward to. Man- i remember finding Mark's channel back when i was 14. now, i'll be turning 22 in a few weeks, can't believe how many years have passed. Mark has been such a big part of my life in all those years
I know tons of people on TH-cam who gave up before they even started. There have been so many people whose videos that I enjoyed, but they gave up after less than a year because they didn't get subscribers fast enough.
I'm glad Mark wasn't one of those people. I wish those people had the same drive as him because honestly, some of them could have went places. They just gave up way too quickly.
