  • Everyone gets jealous sometimes - it may be something someone else has or gets, the way someone else looks or even something someone else can do (or do better). 'Jealous of Josie' helps children understand and identify the feeling of jealousy. Emma gets jealous when Josie gets special attention and jobs because she’s the new girl at school. Emma feels better after she talks with Ms. Laurie and gets the job of showing Josie around school.
When children better understand feelings, they’ve better able to express themselves … and we’re better able to help them. Help children express their feelings. It is important to acknowledge their feelings so they feel heard and understood.
