    My daughter was born in May, so she was a few weeks older than Azaria. I had a clipping about Azaria that I carried in my Bible for years, and have closely followed her story. The pain of losing a child so suddenly and in such a horrific way is unimaginable.

    Perfect example of why the media shouldn't be allowed to sensationalize ongoing criminal investigations.

  • @chiedu90069
    @chiedu90069 3 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    This reporter is unfortunately an extension of the media that crucified the Chamberlains in the first place. He wants sensationalism, anger, something clickable. Just like the reporters in the 80s attacked Lindy for her reactions, this guy is harassing Michael for his reactions. The reporter should have respect for Michael's pain, especially given the hell the Chamberlains endured.

    He seems like a lovely father.
    It's disgusting that a witch hunt with an agenda did he and Lindy so dirty. In early interviews he seemed 1) In shock! 2) a reserved, introverted personality regarding his emotions (especially in the era he was raised). And he was judged so harshly for it.
    RIP Michael. His reunion with Azaria must have been especially joyful.

Those jury members should be ashamed of themselves. This family was torn apart over this. I was born in 1978, so just a baby myself when this happened. I obviously learned of this case when I was much older. I couldn’t imagine that happening to me or my family. They deserve a public official apology. What man blames his wife who was taken to Ayers Rock with her 2 young boys and 9 week old baby for the experience he wanted. Poor Lindy got tried by the media and a long stay in jail. He blames her for the marriage breakdown saying she became institutionalised and assertive. She had to. Michael did not help her case and has always been pathetic. What if? Is that famous quote. After every horrible incident we look to find something or someone to blame, no matter what. I do feel he held lindy accountable for the death of their baby, because of the zip on the tent which was a fleeting mistake with unspeakable, devestating consequenses. RIP Azaria.

      how was she to know that a dingo would go into the tent and take her? not even the whole of Australia believed that. she prob left the zip undone believing she'd be more likely to hear her cry

    why oh why do people continue to mention / comment on the appearance of people - does it matter/is it relevant if she is beautiful ..? Is someone more or less worthly of our compassion..? It's this kind of subtle yet insidious rhetoric, so common in society that harms people and perpetuates gender roles of women being pretty. If this was a guy would she have said 'Joe Bloggs is a handsome boy...' I think not. @7news spotlight - catch the hell up.

    I always felt that Azaria was a bit young to be taken on a camping trip in a place like this, but that's just my opinion. It must have been devastated for the family to go through something like this and for Lindy to be put in jail for all those years, with so many thinking she was guilty. I remember it clearly because I had two sons a similar age to Aidan and Reagan; my daughter being the same age as their second girl Kahlia.

I wonder if any of those responsible for this outrageous miscarriage of justice will ever be held accountable for their actions? Shame on all of those involved.
