Nice Hook Vise you have. I like how it turns. The Vise that I have may not turn like yours does. I haven't even looked at it in Decades since I haven't Fly Fished in Decades. Your video is encouraging me to tie Crappie Jigs. So I need to find my Fly Tying Box and give it a try. Thanks for the video.
It’s defiantly addicting as you know if you have tied flys.. the vise I’m using in this video is a Nor-Vise. They are pricey for sure. I also have a Renzetti rotary vise which a a bit more affordable. Thank you so much for watching.
I need to tie some of these hackle jigs without the chenille. Most of my Crappie jigs are saddle hackle with chenille collars.. I don’t know why I don’t tie some like this without. I will do that today. Great looking jig
How sweet is that. Nice your freind has sponsored your channel. It looks like some sweet fishing gear brother. Nicely done. I went to Michigan last year for the first time in my life, and I could tell, there is nothing but great people up there. It was a blessing I got to see the great lakes for the first time and I was amazed by not only the Beauty of this state, but all the kindness shown by everyone I met. I look forward to coming back one day. I didnt fish last trip. I rode my motorcycle up there. I plan to fish when I go back. Thanks for taking the time to share this jig with us, I will try my own version of. it, and will link back to your video. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a blessed weekend. Dale
@@jimchurchilloutdooradventu9851 Mine is totally different, because I used cheap materials you could find at hobby lobby and Walmart, but I did post a link back to your video. I hope it helps sir. Keep up the fun videos, Dale
Thanks for watching, I know they work great in Florida I have used them on the St. John’s river and so have many other tournament anglers and they love them..
Very informative video to a great looking jig, 2 of my favorite color combinations and that red collar for contract being shiny for a little flash, awesome! I dont tie, i live in west central ohio and dont see alot of hand-tied jigs in my area, what would it cost to require the equipment to tie jigs?

Yes I personally rarely use chenille on my personal jigs.. normally they are like this or I make a dubbed body.
Do you paint the eyes or put them on? Great job and great info on how to tie it! Thanks
I do not paint the eyes on unless they are 1/64 or smaller. I use stick on eyes which I glue on them coat them with lacquer or uv glue.
@ thanks,
@ how do you get them to stick? Do you file them down so the round head is flat on both sides?
I just subscribed like your videos . I to see jigs that catch fish . Keep them coming 👍🏻
