Hey everyone! I've completed a Top 25 Baseball Rookie Card list with all the great rookie cards. Let me know which cards I left out or if I made any errors 👍Thanks for watching. Check out the Most Valuable Baseball Cards from the 1960's here: th-cam.com/video/W7gY8mJaaEw/w-d-xo.html
@@TheDetroitKind I dream about that happening to me, I usually only find junk wax cards stored in a plastic tote with toys and barbies beating them all to hell 😂
INSANE...... just insane. You'd never think to see a Jim Gilliam card make a list of the top 1950s ones. I hardly own any 50s cards, but I have 4 from 1959 (Banks, Musial, Koufax, Whitey Ford). Another great list, another like.
PSA COLLECTOR He also gave me a 39 playball Ted Williams and a Joe DiMaggio and a 38 goudey bob feller. Oh btw ........my dad was a card dealer in the late 80s to the mid 90s he said if you have any questions about the 1987 Topps Tiffany baseball set just reach out here ... He seen you're story and he got so pissed off , he loves The hobby I remember him giving out cards on Sundays to kids who couldn't afford the prices those days.
@@90210bribri Oh, wow, thanks, guys! I'll post a video hopefully soon on what the status is. I'm hoping to hear back from Beckett on Monday? IDK we'll see.
The 1952 Topps card is a rookie card, because he went from the Yankees to the minors in 1951 and came back in 1952. I have a newspaper from 191 that shows him in his Joplin uniform from before he went to the Yankees the first time, will gladly trade it for a '52 Topps card. lol.
Oh yeah that makes sense! I wonder if that applies to the "rookie card" rule or not lol. Is there such a rule? Maybe his 1951 Bowman was a prospect card like in today's Bowman Chrome? lol
True story my dad who is 73, was collecting cards during the 50s, when we cleaned out our Grandparents house, we hoped to find any of them, sadly did not find any. Oh well.
Lots of cards on eBay in PSA cases for a bargain right now! Go pick ya up one. I like to stay around the PSA 4, 5 and 6 area since the competition is really low thus so are the prices.
It's crazy to look at some of the old pricing guides and seeing what some of these cards could have been had for back in the 80's. There has to be some pack fresh ones in these PSA 9's and 10's. Crazy!
I wanted to include true rookie cards in this list only. I could have listed the Mays since it sold for $245,000 but the 1951 Bowman is his true rookie card. I'll do a video on top selling (most iconic) baseball cards from the 1950's and that will definitely be on it. Actually, I might even be able to do a video on the top selling 1952 Topps cards lol. Thats the Holy Grail set of all baseball cards in my opinion.
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR Understood but it's = to Mantle with the 51 bowman rookie and the 52 topps rookie..I just uploaded a video best baseball cards 1950-1969..my cards..check it out!
Hey, Matt. Big numbers from the start, eh. There's 2 or 3 players I never even heard of in this one. 2.8 Mill is too expensive for me. I think I'll stick with my 40 or 50 dollar cards.HAHAHA! Even the newer cards of some of these players are worth a few dollars. Another great one, Matt. Keep up your hard work. That's why you have so many subs! We enjoy these vids. Have a good one.
PSA COLLECTOR I counted 1 in there do you think an older graded psa card carries more or less value vs a newly graded card with the new sticker. Some say the new grading is tougher.
@@jbscardbreaks4389 Honestly, I do feel that PSA has tightened up on their grading standards quite a bit. Me personally, I find value in the vintage labels because they are "vintage" at the same time I like older cards in the newer cases as well. I think it's all a personal preference but when it comes to the masses, I feel like they like the new PSA cases and value them higher because PSA does have a tougher grading system now.
PSA COLLECTOR I’ve noticed that as well as I’m compiling my psa Collection the newer seems to be selling for higher than the old case but I’m assuming that if I send in an older graded card that’s not cracked and they slab again they would put the same grade on.
Currently bidding on a 1959 Topps Jim Gilliam, PSA 6. Love that card and in my budget. Lol! Another great video, Matt! Ready to rip the 86 O-Pee-Chee 😎👍🏻
Love the 1959 Topps set! Good luck, man, those auctions can get out of hand sometimes lol or you can walk away with a bargain! It depends on when the auction ends. I like the ones that end at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Tuesday when no one is watching lol
I hadn't looked at the old set I had in 30 years but this video made me break them out. I only had the Rocco Colovito from his list, but I do have a 59 Jim Gilliam. What did you end up buying yours for?
Kinda silly spending such ludicrous amounts on little pieces of cardboard... But I guess at this point it's no longer about kids having fun. Just 'Fat Cats' chasing money. IMHO the baseball card world was stolen by dealers around 1990. What was a childhood hobby has been overrun by sleazy adults greedy for the next dollar. Smh..
I've been looking to do a list of pre-war cards. I plan on building one and posting sometime this year. I have to do some research before though. Stay posted, thanks for the sub!

Great video, very informative.
Love your channel
Thank you, Jose! I appreciate the feedback 👍
I just found a Hank Aaron in great shape and am excited to see it on your video....Keep up the excellant work!!!
I guarantee don't have any, but guarentee DON'T HATE this video! Great job Matt!
lol, I don't have any of these! Working on it though, in PSA 1's maybe. Thanks, Jordan!
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR wouldn't it be something to just be at a garage sale and see a box of these types of cards labeled for $5.

No words. Just wow.

P.s. unreal prices!
Unreal grades as well. Those pop reports are incredibly low for such awesome cards.
Very true!
I have a 58 Topps mantle my grandfather gave me , it's only a PSA 5 I love that card.
I'd love to have that card! Even as a PSA 1 😂your Grandad had nice taste in cards. 👍

Unbelievable. Don't know if you did an update but noticed 57T was a common card. No problem with 52T Mantle listed. How could it be not listed!
Yo man I got like six cards you mentioned where should I go to get price checks
Great video, I love these old cool cards.
Addicted to vintage baseball cards! PSA graded only though, 👍
The 52 Mantle is the unicorn of any baseball card collection. Great viddy mate!
Thanks! I love the 1952 Topps set in general but that Mantle card visits me in my dreams a lot lol.
A Topps 1952 Mantle PSA 9 just sold for $5.2 million dollars this month(January 2021), establishing a new high for a baseball card..
Didn't realize how loaded that 57 Topps baseball was
Man, these cards surprise me everyday! I'm addicted to the vintage!
Great Stuff...Happy Holidays, Keep UP the Good Work & TY 4 Sharing !
Thanks, Victor! Happy New Year my man.
I couldn't imagine what the mantle 52 Topps in mint 10 goes for .. I'd say around 5 million $$ ..
I can agree to that. Most definitely a impressive number for sure.

Uh-oh, sounds like someone may have sold them. That sucks, maybe he hid them too well lol
Willie Mays...
"No duplicate players" hehe
that 54 kaline and the 54 banks seems offcenter too much to be considered a 10....just my opinion though.
I always wonder who is buying these super expensive cards
Dudes with a lot more money than me lol
How do I get my 1954 baseball cards graded
New to the channel and it's clear you put some work into your vids. Very nice!!
Thanks! I've been at it for over 3 years now. Learning all the Adobe software. Thanks for noticing, I'm glad all that hard work paid off 👍

I wonder what kind of spaceship the top 5 buyers own.
😂😂for real, man. Serious money on those cards. Can you imagine having the Hank Aaron 1 of only 2 and someone steals it! I'd be mortified.
