At my age (64 years), I made the plunge to get the "high-speed, low drag" chest rigs, plate carriers, and multicam gear, which now doesn't really please me So, I've gone back to M81 woodland and ALICE gear, which I'm already used to.
You’ve never lived until you’ve been living in a hole for three days, it’s been raining for two days then someone steps on your poncho and it feels like 100 gallons of water and mud pours down on you. Man, I seriously do not miss that at all! Water, water, water…..we always need to talk about water. Thanks for mentioning it!
Your gear needs to work with you, not against you. If it is so hot and humid that your body armor is going to make you a heat casualty, that gear is working against you at that moment. Body armor should be used to keep you from becoming a casualty and not making you one.
Just watched this again, because it occurred to me that 22:54 is reminiscent of all those TH-cam viewer questions I felt compelled to address in th-cam.com/video/zutpHtbavKY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OrebFIbSQAqBZ1aD
I can see how tank/apc busting, using vc tactics like swinging log traps, punji sticks etc. patrol, basic infantry individual tactics in the rural central area in 205
I rather use my ft-817 and a roll up 10m antenna and hang it in a tree, but im not highspeed low drag im just a licensed amateur radio operator - kq4hcu
nice try guys, i already know you're going to patrol by going out unarmed acting like meth heads twitching around so no one bugs you. and i will leave you alone!
Lots of good stuff in this one chat. Good times.
I appreciate your last video too, cousin.

Preparedness should be based off probability not possibility.
