I fell asleep while listening to this interview and I saw Her in my dream. We were on a paddle boat trip in Philippines and she was with me and my family and friends just talking nonstop all kinds of things. Before I woke up last thing I remember she said: "I just wan't people to treat me equally"
On a whole other plane of existence…scary and amazing at the same time how wonderfully unique and at peace she is. She truly understands the importance of life.
69 yr old jazz fusion bassist here. I become so absorbed watching/listening to her i forget Im watching her and feel like i am part of her. She is the only one that does that to me.
Someone I knew worked on this show and she said they were in the bathroom and looked on the floor to the next stall and saw someone's feet dangling, not reaching the floor, then realized after while washing up that it was Bjork.
She had done Debut, Post, Homogenic and then this Dancer in the Dark Soundtrack, after getting solo, before she did Vespertine, that so many rate as her best Solo album. All of them are just a continuous work of excellence that'will not be replicated! After Vespertine she went more and more experimental, Aant Garde but always true to her self.
Once they started talking about dancer in the dark you could tell she was hiding the bad stuff that really happened between her and the director Lars von Trier. At 39:29 you could tell from her answer about liking making the music and at at 40:00 she has to find an answer about liking the acting in the beginning but not at the end without saying the horrible side of the sexual harassment. It sucks that she had to deal that
Lets call it what it is and what she herself called it. It was sexual harrassment, not assault. Not condoning either but it's a difference between what happened and we should use the proper words.
It would have been funny if Charlie just spent 48 minutes talking about her career and accomplishments and at the end say to Bjork sorry we ran out of time so I can't interview you.
First one is Human Behaviour, the other sounds like a live version of "One Day" from album Debut and I think the other is "Cvalda" which is a song from Dancer in the Dark which Björk starred in.... hopefully this helped
I have this vibe that the interviewer is either bored with her or cannot really relate with her... Bottom line, i think the interviewer is what's called a socio-realist, who talks and understand only the socio constructed reality based on power and ego and self interest... ...and Bjork i think is an ultra socio idealist (i.e. f*ck this socio constructed reality mainly based on Ego, power and self interest...) ...that's why i think that's why the two of them really don't "connect"...they are of two opposite "worlds and languages".
Let’s see him give her a better interview than the heart conditions he gave to Octavia E Butler for butchering her history… sigh… I can’t know my history can I, I don’t, can I ? I wrote.
P.s. Look sir thank you for knowing us Blacks couldn’t have it too good (sugar cubes are a harborer for germs; 2001 Björk would love Xythritol in 2025 where I come from 👽Right… I’m 🇺🇸) and for putting us in our place. Idk what else to say but I’m thankful for my woman-of-color mother who literally can’t help me with my skin care because she literally has natural beauty and I literally need to be fixed so. There. 🚬.

I had a dream of her once too, and it was also kind of sad.

She’s 5’ 4” tall, but I assume her feet still reach the floor under most circumstances.
The moment when she looks up, smiles, then says “I go shy” is…. Absolutely gorgeous ❤
very talented artist! humble. beautiful being!!!!

Bjork is a pure spirit .. I love her so much. Her talent is epic..!!
Bjork is a very attractive woman and I love her eyes!!! Great pop music voice and artist!!
damn. I have fallen in love with Byork, and I will never be able to even know her. Poor me. What a woman!

I had never heard about that before. It's heartbreaking to watch that part of the interview
in most interviews about dancer in the dark she seems very deflective and aloof... sad to know why
She wasn't assaulted, she was harassed. It still sucks either way, and fuck Lars von Trier wholeheartedly for that bullshit. Grimy fucker.

@@eddiewinehosen6665 thank you! My mistake, I must've remembered it wrong

3.20 aww bless her
I so lov Björk
An amazing human being!
Bjork and Aesop Rock my two favorite weirdos
Interesting two to put together.
bjork and jpegmafia personally
anyone know the first 2 songs that played at the beginning of the “career overview “ segment near the start of the video? i can’t figure them out

We started as a little company that wanted to change Iceland - Talkimg about Sugarcubes 😂
This might be of Charlie Rose's better interviews, but dang, he still is jumping across the table more than a few times.
God she is so beautiful...../?
Bjork is the most successful singer in the history of Iceland. She is also the richest.
The only queen, Björk
that's really neat

100% agree, I think he is both bored, confused and slightly prideful.

Christ he is a terrible interviewer, I wonder why and how she agreed to do this
I like her, but knowing who he is, I can't watch.
Sad that her husband was from Idaho. Stop stealing our women
You would think he was introducing GEORGE GERSHWIN - her songs are mindless child like nonsense
