If you get a full 3 auto sequence between the first and the third Surging Strikes, the cooldown will already be reset after the third strike's boosted auto letting you keep dashing. So instead of doing: Surging - Auto - Surging - Auto - Surging - Auto; and then waiting 2 seconds for the cooldown; You can do: Surging - Auto - 3 Autos - Surging - Auto - Surging - Auto; And your Surging strikes will be off cooldown instantly so you can combo again. Having some source of attack speed helps make sure you don't miss the timer to squeeze the 3 Autos between strikes, so a muscle band is recommended or Red emblems.
As a Rapid-Strike Urshifu player with near 300 games played (on this build alone). My favorite build is Attack Weight, Aeos Cookie, and Energy Amplifier/Focus Band. I would recommend to go Jungle as mentioned in the video, but I personally exclusively lane. My emblem page is 6 Whites, 4 Browns with near 300 HP.
I also heavily prefer playing lane over jungle, but man just being able to get out of being Kubfu quicker in jg made my water bear experience so much smoother. Its always a hard choice, but I normally call for center now but I'm quick to rotate if someone else really wants it
If you have 300 games with rapid strike that probably means you played it when it was garbage. And to that I say Why would you throw the game like that

From my much smaller experience of using it before all the buffs I thought it was much better than people were letting on so I wouldn't call it a "throw" back then. Maybe its just a case of many people not knowing how to use it effectively, as there are a lot of quick but timed button presses and the playstyle needs some awareness to make the most of a situation. I think with the proper team it makes a lot of sense to lane Watershifu. SoloQ=Jungle.

Thanks Cris for this guide, water bear is really fun to play and i want to get good with it so this will definetely help. Looking forward for the next guides.
I wonder how he would be with focus band+weakness policy+razor claw. I play scizor with that set up and I think this would work well on waterbear too. being able to use liquidation on the shortened cooldown while spamming surging strikes with the focus band to keep you alive long enough to stack up weakness policy consistently could turn him into a super strong duelist but would cost you upfront damage.
I use weaknesses policy+ razor claw + muscle band. Damage is crazy but late game is little weak if there are stun giving mons in the other team. You will always be the first target to take down lol 😅
In a match i played using waterbear, i unite the sableye because he is being annoying. The sableye tooks multiple hits from my unite before being eliminated. After that, I felt bad. I feel beating up a little kid. 😭😭
you can also do 5 surging strikes by using one surging strike out of the three before you engage and delay it a bit and then yyou can catch enemy off guard with 5 surging strikes and wont have to pause after first 3 if you engaged directly instead of waiting out the first one
Hey Cris, I don't know if you'll ever see this but do you think Drain crown could work on this pokemon since its basic attack heals? I am complete crap at this move, and this guide helps tremendously. Thank you.🤗
So I just did 1 hour of dummie testing myself, to compare dps with Different carried items. It's allways with perfect Rotation and full stacks, I was allways lvl 15 and 6 brown / 4 white / 4 blue / 2 purple emblems (+200HP / +6 atk / +0,5 crit / -5 defense / shitload - sp attack / Rest Stats untouched ) Weight / scope / razor 2150 dps / 2750 unite dps Razor / weight / amp 1700 dps / 2200 unite dps Razor / weight / muscle 2400 dps / 2750 unite dps Scarf / muscle / razor 2500-2600 dps / 2750 unite dps Muscle / weight / weakness (was harder to test) 2100 without 4 stacks - 2400 with 4 stacks / 2750 unite dps (started with 4 stacks but couldnt second activate with 4 stacks. So it could be the highest unite dps in a Real fight) Muscle / razor / scope 2350-2450 dps / 2750 unite dps. Muscle / Scarf / weight 2600 dps / 2900 unite dps So for the unite dps it allmost doesn't matter what items you wear, just definatly not Energy amp. Since I think the crown is bugged af, I didnt even bother to test it. What I can say: At some point it didnt even matter what I was wearing. It all came down to attack fast and not mess up the Rotation. In a Real fight getting stuned and therefor losing ur Rotation and get big CD would be Bad aswell The best items Was , Scarf > muscle > razor > weight > weakness for pure dps. further on it just comes down to Personal preference. Since I like to be a little more of a brawler I think I will go for muscle + Scarf + Focusband and maybe even try an emblemset with 6brown / 2 white / 6 purple and 6 blue. At some point you just dont need more strength from other items. We will See in real Fights if my hour was a waste of time 😉
These guides are my favourite content of yours, even when I have no intention of playing water bear it's so good to fully understand the new meta pokemon
If I go stacking, I prefer use dual stack attack weight + aeos cookie because his healing based on max HP so he can be super tanky. Though I kinda hate stacking with kubfu, seems so weak compared to another all rounder (even machop can easily stack).
Yesterday is the day i got my blue badge on water bear urshifu ... Iam consistently dealing 1 lakh ++ damage in each and every match .. seriously water bear dominating right now ..
This makes no sense, I searched for this guide 6 Hours ago and 5 Hours ago you uploaded this! Mind reader 🤯 Thank you as always for the exact content I want exactly when I need it!
You can get 0 cool down on surging strikes with this attack pattern. Surging strike, boosted attack, surging strike, boosted attack, auto attack to get another boosted attack, then do final surging strike, boosted attack. You're cool down will always be 0 with this
i saw another comment similar to this and i dont really understand. instead of being forced to auto at the end of the combo, youre voluntarily autoing for an extra boosted during the combo. there's no difference, the gap where you arent using surging strike still exists... it just exists earlier
Great time for the buff and this video. I played him a bit over the weekend for free and I will be buying him tonight once the week rolls over and I can get the other like 400 coins I need unless I want to save them for Comfey. 😂

@BriteMite Thank you for the reply but you could at least sound more helpful, you know.. Obviously the description is very similar other than Razor Claw is mostly for Melee pokemon so I don't use it. Also if Ninetales didn't crit, I wouldn't be playing it. A crit base stats of 0 doesn't mean that it won't crit at all. It's just much harder to make such a build but I crit from move 1 even as Vulpix. In this life some things are natural gifts like crit is for Absol and others require lots of work like a Crit build for Ninetales. I got the Crit idea from Cris btw.
