Blaziken is so much fun to play. He’s very strong right now, but doesn’t feel like a problem. His release was sad, but I think that was more Mewtwo Y’s fault than him being drastically underpowered. The buffs they gave him were good, and I’m glad they did go overboard.
Since Blaziken is my ace in Pokemon ruby and also my first starter in that game, I got him in unite after grinding and ngl it’s fun to play as Blaziken. He meets my expectations in the game.
This patch I've been having a lot of fun playing blaziken and dragonite Personally i think blaziken truly fits the all rounder tag, he can do almost everything but isnt too broken i hope future releases will also be quite balanced and we dont get another m2y/zacian situation
@@piercemat331 just because he has speed boost doesn't mean he's Speedster All Pokemon get speed boost from unite move that doesn't mean they're all speedsters
After looking for allrounders to buy and testing a few of them, I did buy blaziken because of how much fun he is to play. I love the style change and all, so this video came by at the right time! thank you for your hard work cris ^^
@@piercemat331 you think he needs speed? I don't really think so. Your focus blast slows enemies (slow effect increases with + version) and changing to punch style gives you speed boost for a bit. Hit once with your fire punch to proc it again, it gives some good distance. But if you watch this video, you'll learn that tall grass is your best friend.
Great video, 1 thing I’ve struggles with in this game is knowing about power spikes for certain pokemon. I think this type of info is great in a video like this as blaziken when do you want to be fighting when do you want to play safe. Obviously when you learn certain moves is a given. When playing blaziken, originally, I found myself playing very passively until level 5, only trying to get last hits. However, i found more success actually playing more aggressive in these early levels, obviously still going for last hits, but actually using abilities on the other pokemon. I’m not sure if this is correct, but something thats has been working better.

Cris, for jungle, I’ve found a lot of consistency with attack weight, weakness, and focus band. For lane though I think double stacking is not as risky

hi Cris, I just switched to a controller and have started to experience the snapbacks I've been hearing from you for so long.. and I noticed that I'm getting way way way more snapbacks than you.. like basically between 30 to 50% of my skill shots, I'm been stuck to playing Azumaril, cuz even tho I can't use tackle properly, I get waterpulse pretty quickly and waterpulse don't have the same problem of going towards opponents.. Is there like some skills that I need to learn to reduce snapbacks? I very quickly stopped trying so I don't really know..

My issue with eject button is that I can't really predict which way overheat is gonna face when I eject. I've tried those kicks where you face North and Eject South but my Overheat still faces North.

As a players with overall 6 years of moba it's best to play blaziken acording to situaltion and dont make combos and such use moves best for situations dont just "RANDOM BULLSHIT GO"
I personally don't like Double stack but just cuz I like playing jg with him, but muscle Band is actually useless, u hit 1 auto every 6 skills, antihealing/wp help you a lot more
One thing I think you’ve missed with this guide is the defensive utility of Focus Blast and Ember. Both of them have a big slow, especially Focus Blast+, and the slow actually gives a ton of utility with regards to both retreating and supporting your teammates. Also, whilst Fire Punch can’t be cancelled with autos, the first punch can be animation cancelled and this allows you to do things like a Fire Punch 1 -> Focus Blast so that you can dash fireball.

I didn't think about changing up the held items
I use the X attack or X speed myself
I always start by battling wild pokemon until getting blaze kick then targeting bosses mini bosses and players
When fighting I SPAM unite move once my moves are on cool down

You can also make a blaze kick eject button if you have the right timing. And you can charge your overheat during blaze kick to be faster !

Another thing you can do with eject is eject in the middle of fire punch, hit someone and get the reset. I have koed 12 owls this way

to reduce snapback you need to release the move button first and then the joystick
The video looks like it cuts off. Basically skips the explanation of blaze kick and first part of overheat. Like around 2:25.

One thing: Energy Amplifier is broken on this KFC. You almost always have unite move, and 23% more damage is just too much.
