Glad I didn’t listen to the negative comments. Saw them in the USA this past summer. They rocked!! Is his voice as good as it once was? No. But they still sounded great. Can’t wait for them to come back if they ever do. Andrew may be done soon
Andrew does not work in sunlight! You have to put him in a dark, smoky nightclub for him to work. Yeah his voice is rough, probably from using it for years. This is aging and it is not easy to hand over the torch when your voice has been the band’s trademark along with its bass for a very long time. All about making those changes and when to make those changes. I wish him and his band well in navigating those waters.
Some artist continue to deliver after many years, but this is a rip-off! This band was my favorite one during the eighties, and I never saw them live. But now I wouldn't even for free. Eldritch should have stop everything a long time ago. But he likes money too much to do it... What a shame.

Eh, Jaz Coleman is also 63, Blixa Bargel is 64 - and Killing Joke and Einsturzende Neubauten are both amazing live. SOM have been rubbish since the 90s - I saw them in 97 and it was one of the worst gigs I've ever been to. People were asking each other what song they were playing, Andy was mumbling the words, there was no bass, so the sound didn't carry.

With the new US tour coming up, I thought I would get pumped up to finally see my (probable) favorite band. Then I stumbled upon this disaster and decided I can't possibly tarnish my memories of them by watching this absurdity.
Wow saw this band in high school in the 90s. They were amazing. This rendition is a little sad. I almost bought tickets for their new tour but decided against it after seeing this. In all honesty your are probably better seeing a tribute. Seriously missing that amazing bass line that Patricia gave the band. Do you all remember they toured with Public Enemy back then.

Évidemment que le temps est passé qu’avec lui l’apparence puisse changer c’est normal mais pas la voix, preuve en est Robert Smith, les concerts des Cure sont magnifiques, la voix de Robert n’a pas changé, il en est de même pour Ronny Moorings des Clan Of Xymox, sa voix est toujours aussi belle que dans les 80’s et 90’s. J’adore et j’écoute toujours les Sisters mais jamais de la vie j’irais les voir actuellement en concert, ça ressemble plus à un mauvais groupe d’un bal de village qui ne sait même pas faire correctement une reprise. Désolant de voir ça, quand on ne peut plus chanter, assurer un concert on a l’humilité de rester chez soi ne serait ce par respect pour les nombreux fans trop dégoûtés de constater cette déchéance. Je vais vite me chercher sur TH-cam l’original pour oublier ce que j’en entendu pendant quelques secondes, je n’ai pas pu aller au-delà mes oreilles me disaient stop…

I saw them twice in the 80s at the Top Rank Suite in Brighton. They were brilliant then, but this was sad to watch. Like other people's comments. The hair and the voice have gone, but I have happy memories of a great band. He used to look so bloody cool.
I don't mind that the hair is gone but the voice went 20 years ago. Mumble, shout, scream - anything other than sing. It's a shame because his new band and songs are really good. A true professional would stop smoking and get some vocal coaching to get back to something decent - it's not like his original vocal parts were anything other than 'undemanding'.

Royal Albert Hall was 1985 and Andrew was 26 yo. This is 2022 and he is 63 yo. The fact that he is out there moving great on stage and giving his all is more than enough.

I been watching some live concrets from this year and yikes, i laughted alot with this. Andrew if you had some dignity please come back to home and leave the concerts, this is embarrasing.
Critique of Eldritch is warranted, but the guitarist is distractingly obnoxious like dude, you're not the frontman, just do your job and stop trying so hard.
I once commented that Brian Ferry would better stop performing since his voice wasn´t even a mere shadow of the divine one he used to have, but this is off the scale worse. How on Earth is this even worth listening to. I bet there were more people at the beer stand than in front of the podium. This is a disgrace to the band it used to be. If you can´t do it no more, accept it and let the fans charish their records. This is horrible.
You know what, when I saw Roxy Music last year I still felt some magic, and loved hearing those songs … but listening back to them was mildly embarrassing, solely because of Ferry not being able to sing at all, really. Hopefully the SoM show later in the year will be like this experience - in that I still enjoyed it, and it felt magical to be there

I once commented that Brian Ferry would better stop performing since his voice wasn´t even a mere shadow of the divine one he used to have, but this is off the scale worse. How on Earth is this even worth listening to. I bet there were more people at the beer stand than in front of the podium. This is a disgrace to the band it used to be. If you can´t do it no more, accept it and let the fans charish their records. This is horrible.
You know what, when I saw Roxy Music last year I still felt some magic, and loved hearing those songs … but listening back to them was mildly embarrassing, solely because of Ferry not being able to sing at all, really. Hopefully the SoM show later in the year will be like this experience - in that I still enjoyed it, and it felt magical to be there
