Hi Pete. I'm an expat from the USA. I saw a recent article about you and it mentioned you were unable to get a visa for your wife to enter the US. I'm curious why. If you could share I appreciate it. Married a Thai National here and plan to go the the US as soon as possible.
A number of reasons, Michael. We hadn't been married for very long was probably the biggest one. She also couldn't show assets that would make her want to return to Thailand, houses, children, etc. They're not going to let you bring your new ex-bar girl wife into the US. We've been married a long time and I doubt there would be a problem now. But now I don't even want to go back there. It's expensive and I've soured on the politics and ignorant people in the good ole US of A. She definitely wants to see the US but I'd much rather travel Europe at this point in my life. We'll get back there someday I suppose. Good luck.
