Hiking in the snow with short sleeves-nice. It did look very slippery in spots. Oh my that lake is beautiful. I feel the same about sharing locations. Too many people means trash and graffiti. You’d think there’d be a sign telling you the road was closed. The new camping spot by the river looked awesome. You guys find some spectacular spots. 👍
Thank you. This area is really interesting. The river spot turned out nice, but in the summer the river gets busy and rowdy. We had good timing on this trip, just a lot of fishermen right now. Wish I brought spikes for that lake hike, or maybe trekking poles.
Do it, you won't regret it 😁. Even without a rooftop tent and "overland" gear, you'll have a blast camping and offroading with your Comanche! Thanks for watching!
What a beautiful area and lake! The hike was nerve racking cause that drop off! 😬 That off camber road is giving me McGrew vibes which I made the kids walk some of it at the end. No thank you! 😅
such an amazing spot, that lake was so cool. Great part of the world you get to enjoy. Glad the TH-cam peeps suggested it to me. Sketchy track for sure and glad all your windows were in tact 😛 Good luck with your adventures and your channel, I know how much effort you must be putting in, subscribed ✌🏻
So during this episode I received a big “Swat” from Maureen and a “See I am not the only one who gets out and walks the sketchy parts of the trail”!😂😂😂
Awesome video. That was a beautiful lake hike. Would be so fun to backpack in and stay there the night. And that river spot was so serene, especially in the morning with the fog. Funny but I was looking at that exact diesel heater. Is it working well for you so far?
Thanks! I would love to backpack out there as well. Yes, the diesel heater worked great. This was our first time using it. Trey made a few modifications, I think I'll do a short video about it.
Classic forest service. Do no maintenance so people can't access the trailhead then close it cause it's hardly used. I've been wanting to backpack this trail but have been hesitant cause my vehicle only has 8 inches of ground clearance
Ya, it's a shame the condition of the road. I hope they fix it so the area is more accessible to people. I would be hesitant to take a vehicle without good ground clearance out there. 8 inches might be enough if you choose your line carefully.
That water looked so pretty.
@@aimeewhaling7762 it was really beautiful!
Good breakfast and sketchy trails that’s my kind of camping. Loved the lake too I definitely camp there. 🍻

Amazing scenery! Great video ❤
Thank you! It's really beautiful out there, despite what the wildfires have done.
I would love to camp next to that lake. That looks like such an awesome spot to set up.
Isn't that lake spot beautiful! I would love to backpack in and stay there. Thanks for watching!
Dang, that's some pretty country. I don't get down to SW Oregon too often. I think maybe I should more. Thanks for sharing this video!

Cool video and great views. I love to see the food you cook! Yummy!
Hey thanks Brigitte! It was pretty simple food this time. The views were incredible. We lucked out with clear blue sky. Thanks for watching!
@@campoutwestus the waffles make me want waffles now. Haha

Another great video. Thanks for sharing. My favorite channel on YT.
@@greatbasinexploring wow! That means a lot, thanks so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it 👍
Really like the view of the lake Heather. If there was an award for best camping couple I think you and Trey would definitely win.
Thank you Hunter! That lake was really beautiful.
Definitely get to some cool spots. Them the real mtns compared to our hills. 😅 Thanks for sharing your journey with us. 😁
@@MaynardHood we have the Shenandoah Mountains here in Virginia. You’re the guy who said he peed from a lookout post right?

When my friends and I go camping for a week. People ask, "What did you guys Do?" Nothing!!!!
🤣 we can't sit still in one place very long, always something to see or do
@@campoutwestus You're busy every minute of the day. But you're still doing nothing! That's a Good Thing.
Some Corporate people have a really hard time, trying to understand this.
