Damn, I'm just realizing that the Center for Indiana, Matt Nover, starred in the movie "Blue Chips" with Shaq and Penny🏀

Those forecourts bring back memories of my youth during the ABA glory years.

In 1987, when IU was down 12 points with 4 left in the Elite Eight against LSU, Coach was asked if he was worried. He replied (paraphrase) "I was worried until I saw Dale Brown on the other bench, then I knew we had a chance". LSU was up 14 at one stage in the game.
    BOTH GAMES: IU WINS.
Miss you already Coach. Words can't describe.

Is Dale Brown a good coach? Answer clearly is no based on his head to heads with Bobby Knight. How he could lose this game with Shaq and leading so much in first round and took Shaq out. Brown was just a good recruiter nothing else.

Only reason LSU made it to the final fourin 1986 was because they got to play on their home court the first two rounds

Dale Brown Wow what a bad coach. Jamie never got to play 2 guard and dominate at that position. point, power forward, small forward WTH

From the L.A. Times, December 1987:
"Bob Knight, Indiana basketball coach, responding to a story in which Louisiana State coach Dale Brown took some shots at him, recalled last season's Midwest Regionals, in which LSU led Indiana, 75-66, with only four minutes left.
'It didn't look good,' Knight said. 'In fact, my assistants had just about given up, and so had I. Then I looked down toward the other bench, and I saw Dale Brown standing there. I knew then that we had a chance.'
      Indiana won, 77-76.
Of Brown's coaching, Knight said: 'To paraphrase Churchill, probably never has so little been done with so much.'"

Dale Brown had Shaq, a dominant Stanley Roberts and Chris Jackson leading scorer in the NCAA and got booted in the 2nd round.

Dale Brown made a fatal mistake in taking Shaq out when LSU had the momentum! Iu got it back and when they came back to Shaq it was too late. Should have never taken Shaq out for a rest with that lead and momentum.
