I think it is. Sony's engineering and processing gives them an edge in so many ways. An 85" display of this quality actually seems like a really good deal now considering the landscape 5 or 6 years ago. It seems to me that TVs have seen nice improvements every year and the prices came down as well. Great time to be a buyer. Thank you for the review Phil! and I'm glad that you enjoyed your time with the TV.
Sony from the corona is not the best TV in the market you don't have all the future out Hardware software to and update problem Enterprise is so expensive 🤔
Why does everyone have to mention if it’s an “OLED killer”? FFS..review it for what it is. It’s the best mini LED ever made by any company and that’s good enough for me! 🔥
Indeed, the qualification that it's the best mini-LED TV currently produced by Sony is an understatement. As VT of HDTV Test has said, it's currently the best mini-LED made of any brand.
I mentioned OLED killer because that’s the hype a lot of TH-camrs were spreading and there is no need. It is the best LCD TV Sony has made, as I make very clear in the video. Thanks.
@@avforums How does it compare to last year's LED Sony X95L? How much better is it or is there no point in replacing last year's with this one. Thank you.
Yes it is enough but if you want something better really better for everything you are going to watch it is the X90L without hesitation it is much better than the B3 but if it is just for sports yes its enough
I’ll reply to this: Sony is the best by far for watching live sports. Football (Americans call Soccer) or US Football (Europeans call rubbish 😅) is awesome on Sony TV’s due to their processing. Other brands lag behind in this. Hope it answers your question.
Dommage qu'il y a pas de mode zoomsurles télécommandes, pour pouvoir agrandir l'image quand il y a des barres noires en haut et en bas, mon ancien panasonic faisait ça très bien
Good enough for me. 2 LG OLEDS down the road and mini Led looks to be almost the answer. I view TV from 40degs off axis so really think to maybe wait for a wide VLA panel. Does anyone know about availability? May just get this instead and fit a swivel bracket
Not an OLED killer, but it doesn't need to be. It gets much brighter in highlights and has far better full screen brightness, but it can also get dark enough to be a Cinema display, too... which is something that has been owned by the OLED space for nearly a decade now. It's a great set!
I have been using the 75" for the last 6 months it's a brilliant TV. I like how easy it can adapt to different use cases and lighting conditions -- loads of brightness headroom to deal with natural light during the day, but movies still look amazing when you turn the lights off at night. No dimming or image retention when it comes to PC usage or static logos from news/sports. Phil is right about the viewing angles though, make sure you understand the best image quality is going to be limited to 1 or 2 people sitting straight on.
In any case, it is the best LCD TV of the year. It has everything you could want, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, perfect for PlayStation, what more could you want.....
My written review was published a few weeks back on AVForums. Sony didn’t give UK reviewers the set until the 65 inch was available in November. It won’t be replaced for a while so I don’t see any problem releasing my video now. Thanks.
