Such a good tutorial! I've recently purchased my speed weave and have, watched quite a few tutorials and you're is the best. Well done, and you've gained a subscriber. Thank you.
Thanks! I recorded it because I couldn't find a video that went through the entire process in real time, and the finishing in particular was missing from most tutorials.
Thank you Kira. What a great demonstration. I have a collection of knitting eggs, and various other wooden inserts for mending socks. I have been eyeing these looms for a long time. It seemed pretty intuitive, but your instructions were crystal clear. I became more interested in the loom when my son who moved to PA decided to start mending his wool sox. He went to Michael’s but I directed him to an LYS and a JoAnn’s fabrics. I’m gathering together some of my spare tools to send and I’m thinking of ordering a loom. They’re much less expensive than I thought and they look like fun to use. i’m curious what size would be best for sock mending? Or just general use? C🦊💕
I'm glad that the video was clear! I think that the 14 hook loom is a good place to start, as it's small enough to fit into a sock. Eventually you may also want a 21 hook loom which is larger and also has the hooks set closer together for a finer weave. I have both available on my website.
This is a great tutorial! Thank you. I have one question, though. Does the mend keep the hole from getting bigger? I feel like the hole should be stitched around, first? I have a cashmere sweater, with multiple holes, that I want to save. :)

Thank you for that clear demonstration and explanation. It was very helpful and informative.
You're welcome and I'm so glad it was useful.
Exellent tips to improve my use with this type of weaver. Love your reasoning and clarity explaining. Thank you much. Very glad I found this video. 🎉
I'm glad you found it helpful!
You're a wonderful teacher. Thank you
You are so welcome!
Excellent demo! thanks for sharing, I've never seen this tool before.
I'm glad you liked it! I'm working on one showing a houndstooth pattern which I'll post soon.
Best video I found on this. Thanks!
I'm glad it was helpful!
Best one I have seen ❤❤❤
Thanks! It was important to me to show the entire process from beginning to end.
LOVE the houndstooth. And doing it on the bias to keep the stretch - I did an auduble gasp.
I love that!
Thank you! Just about to buy a loom and now I know what to look for.
I'm glad it helped! So often people buy the cheapest one, then end up buying another before too long, so it's always good to know what to look for.
Excellent instructions. Never knew this tool existed. Just subscribed to your channel.
It's a very neat tool, although you can do a woven darn without it, I find it makes the process more enjoyable and the result much neater.
Thank you for sharing such a coherent video!✌🇨🇦
Happy to! The instructions for these tools can leave a lot out, and there’s nothing like seeing it in motion.
Hah what a cool gadget for tool lovers🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Yes, having the right tool for this definitely makes it faster and easier, and even fun!

Ist was great thank you.
You're very welcome! Have fun mending.
This is a great tutorial! Thank you.
I have one question, though. Does the mend keep the hole from getting bigger? I feel like the hole should be stitched around, first? I have a cashmere sweater, with multiple holes, that I want to save. :)
It depends on whether the hole is actively unraveling, in which case you may want to do some reinforcement stitching around the edges.
