After having watched so many reviews and comparos over the past few months, including this one, I've finally made my decision last Oct 4, 2022. And it's still the Toyota Innova. You can never go wrong with a Toyota.
Kaya ang huling halakhak goes to Innova.

Innova pra less hassle at downtime sa parts and service. Less cost in maintenance in the long run. Pero kung di nman pangharabasan ang gamit Chery Tiggo 8 on my wishlist.
Sa Toyota Innova pa rin ako. We have a 2022 Innova and previously owned two other Innovas and they lasted for so many years. Plus we still have until now a 2003 Diesel Revo that is still in very good running condition with fuel efficiency of 8.5 km per liter city driving. Toyota is so dependable. We had 2 Mitsubishi L300, a Mitsubishi L200 pick-up, Mazda MPV, Nissan Xtrail, Isuzu Crosswind, Starex, and Honda Civic, Isuzu FB Diesel with passenger Cab, plus Ford Courier Pick-up. Just for comparison on dependability, all our Toyotas lasted long and with very low maintenance cost. I would be happy to see more cars and brands coming into the marker so it will benefit the consumers. Experience tells me that I can count on the quality and reliability of Toyota. However, a strong competition is good to keep Toyota on its toes and not be complacent.
Good comparo! Competition will only serve to benefit the consumers in the long run because of the features trickling down price points people should not stereotype and should be open to new options. As for the old players you guys need to step up your production and interior design to match the needs of the consumers. As for the new competition goodjob and goodluck on the reliability of the cars that you are producing!
this applies sa mga 7 seaters na flat fold yun 3rd row seat, Advantage ng Innova is yun flip 3rd row seat. kasi pede mo bilhan ng trunk tray and kun saan mo lalagay mga hahakutin mong mga bagay, not unlike yun folding seat na flat baka masira lalo kun mabibigat na bagay ilalagay mo like generators. yun trunk tray easy replaceable incase masira katagalan. yun back seat pag na kamot kaka load mo ng mga bagay bagay, parang di ganun kabilis palitan.
Iba talaga ang decision making kapag may criteria. Pinoy instant answer and preference is always the leading brand but when the comparison is broken down to different criteria, the decision is not so straight-forward.
As long as toyota remains the top selling brand in the Philippines don't expect them to improve the features of their vehicle especially the ride and comfort
If I am not mistaken, the engine that comes with the Toyota Innova is the same as the Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Hilux, albeit with few minor tweaks and slightly different ECU mapping. That engine is tried tested and true. Toyota's reliability will trump that Chinese engine's 10-year warranty. I think they should have factored that in.
145 hp/210 nm torque vs 172hp/360 nm torque. Performance(toyota) vs form(cherry).
Diesel and gasoline yun ang pinagkaiba. Di dapat nila pinagkumpara ang 1.5 sa 2.8 na makina.dun nila ikumpara sa magkapareho ang laki ng makina.all this small engines are all wannabes when it comes to performance.
Still it boils down to engine size. Same price but not same performance.mature drivers prefer reliable vehicles over techs which does not really matter when you are driving.
Innova is the gold standard for mpv in the phils bar none.that is the reason why they are comparing tiggo to innova in the price range. Rear wheel drive vs front wheel 1.5 engine vs 2.8.if you remap the ecu innova will reach 200 hp. Innova with 8 persons onboard vs tiggo with 8 person onboard i bet you will feel the difference in power you'll wish you bought the one with a bigger engine.
Bottomline pa rin jan, who’s who in the industry? Who has the higher resale value and can last longer? Sino ngayon ang mas worth it for value of money?
Plus one for you sir. :) cherry has yet to prove it’s name kasi. For parts and services, i think makaka order ka nga ng parts ni innova kahit thru shopee as for my experience. Not sure with the cherry? And looking at the company’s track record, i would trust toyota instead. Toyota’s services are not perfect , but for me it’s the best.
Top of the line Tiggo vs Toyota Innova E Midrange variant so the result might be not equal if you having a review please use the same top of the line variant
Best choice is the Tiggo.
If you have the money and you plan to change cars quickly, you can chose the tiggo. But if you are looking for a long lasting car, something that you can maintain, its still the Innova
that Tiggo 8 is severely underpowered when carrying 5 people, hope that they bring the Plus version with the better engine or the hybrid model. if battery life wasn't an issue the Okavango would be better then either of these two.
Innova pa din in terms of value for money, lahat ng features ng Tiggo 8 na wala sa Innova ay maganda lang pag Bago pero in the long run panalo pa din si Toyota in terms of performance, engine, maintenance, resale value etc.
ill go for automatic transmission of the innova, with dual clutch though it shifts smoother is ideal for racing, it does not like stop and go and often overheats on uphill roads.
I drive a chinese car 4 years turning 5 now, maganda pa din overall ang experience ko, when it comes to toyota naman nakapag drive na din so many times and to compare mas gusto ko pa ung chinese car.
At the end of the day, Cherry will only sell 1 tiggo 8 per 30 innova. Philkptse must add these categories - resale value, ease of maintenance, access to outside casa parts, customizability, brand reputation, people perception
Hindi binigyan ng malaking points ang power ng Innova engine, super tibay ng innova body and under parts, at super husay na after sales support ng toyota. 🙂
Lost me when stanley voted Tiggo sa engine like seriously. Bigay mo na lahat ng features sa Tiggo but for engine kitang kita ang mismatch ewan ko ba kung paano ka pa boboto sa Tiggo
At the end of the day toyota is toyota.lalo na innova with 2.8 diesel engine na may turbo intercooler...realibility and durability..plus availability ng parts... consider that... And chinese brand is chinese brand... May mga ? Pa din kasi...
1.5 tpos 7 seaters medyo hirap na yan pag naging 3 yrs old pataas na yung car pagpuno sakay if laging puno sakay mo dun ako sa innova 2.8 if comport at d nmn lagi puno tiggo👍👍👍
But did not discuss regarding PMS, spare parts, which is very important for tiggo yes 1m odo is good but did not elaborste if engine problem e rerepair ba o papalitan ng libre? I still looking for reliability which of course cherry dont have casa everywhere which you forgot to compare...above all in investing with cars doon ako sa matibay na engine aanhin mo yang mga hightech system kung dina tumatakbo say yiu bought ur cherry tiggo and brought it to leyte meron ba casa?
Toyota knows people will still buy their vehicles despite being so behind on tech and comfort na parang halos nanguuto na sila ng tao. Yung Innova sa ibang bansa, mas madaming tech and features for practically the same price.
Ano buy and sell ka? Bumibili ka ng sasakyan to meet your needs. So, kung me colonial mentality ka thinking na ang japan made eh mas maganda kesa china made eh think again. 10 Years warranty means they are confident that engine will run a million kilometers.
the reason why the Cherry has a longer warranty bcoz it is more often be in a car shop and most of those parts are low qualities. having that Cherry should always be backed by the owner's deeper pockets.
You need to update your knowledge about Chery. They also give a FREE 3-year PMS program. All the labor AND parts for replacement are FREE in the first 3 years. They even go as far as Home Servicing for PMS so you don't need to go to the casa. Just book it via their mobile app.

Territory? Iba nga 6mo lang problema na. Gusto na ibalik kasi dami problema
China made VS Japanese made
Lol, the irony tho.
@@fredronquillo1960 if dimo afford pikit
Very informative.. thanks for sharing.
Please advice which one ? Cherry tiggo 8 or toyota innova ?
What quality for chinese cars?
Bottomline pa rin jan, who’s who in the industry? Who has the higher resale value and can last longer? Sino ngayon ang mas worth it for value of money?
go for the innova durability and value for money
Value for money?, I think they are the same. Besides tiggo 8 phev is fully loaded btw.
10years warranty for durability
Top of the line Tiggo vs Toyota Innova E Midrange variant so the result might be not equal if you having a review please use the same top of the line variant
Best choice is the Tiggo.
If you have the money and you plan to change cars quickly, you can chose the tiggo. But if you are looking for a long lasting car, something that you can maintain, its still the Innova
Nope
Explain toyota car last longer then that brand lol
that Tiggo 8 is severely underpowered when carrying 5 people, hope that they bring the Plus version with the better engine or the hybrid model. if battery life wasn't an issue the Okavango would be better then either of these two.
Innova pa din in terms of value for money, lahat ng features ng Tiggo 8 na wala sa Innova ay maganda lang pag Bago pero in the long run panalo pa din si Toyota in terms of performance, engine, maintenance, resale value etc.
Toyota Innova pa rin ang pipiliin ko. Sobrang lakas kasi ng makina ng Innova. Pampamilya, Panghakot at Matatag ang Innova
ill go for automatic transmission of the innova, with dual clutch though it shifts smoother is ideal for racing, it does not like stop and go and often overheats on uphill roads.
maganda yung topic niyo. panalo! 🤙
I drive a chinese car 4 years turning 5 now, maganda pa din overall ang experience ko, when it comes to toyota naman nakapag drive na din so many times and to compare mas gusto ko pa ung chinese car. Wag po magalit alam ko maka toyota kayo kasi sa SO CALLED RELIABILITY only time will test kung uubra itong mga chinese cars
Tiggo 8 vs Okavango urban plus
Wala po ba ba manual sa T8? Or any chinese 7seaters na manual?
At the end of the day, Cherry will only sell 1 tiggo 8 per 30 innova. Philkptse must add these categories - resale value, ease of maintenance, access to outside casa parts, customizability, brand reputation, people perception
Ipagcompare mo ba naman MPV sa SUV. malamang mas maraming magandang feature ung SUV.
innova still the pinoy favorite, matibay, maasahan, malakas ang makina...
In electronics you cant tell how long it will last and the soft touch it is prone to scratch in short durability
Ok kayo talaga mga sir mag promo maliwanag gd day
Hindi binigyan ng malaking points ang power ng Innova engine, super tibay ng innova body and under parts, at super husay na after sales support ng toyota. 🙂
Cringe.
Lost me when stanley voted Tiggo sa engine like seriously. Bigay mo na lahat ng features sa Tiggo but for engine kitang kita ang mismatch ewan ko ba kung paano ka pa boboto sa Tiggo
At the end of the day toyota is toyota.lalo na innova with 2.8 diesel engine na may turbo intercooler...realibility and durability..plus availability ng parts... consider that... And chinese brand is chinese brand... May mga ? Pa din kasi...
1.5 tpos 7 seaters medyo hirap na yan pag naging 3 yrs old pataas na yung car pagpuno sakay if laging puno sakay mo dun ako sa innova 2.8 if comport at d nmn lagi puno tiggo👍👍👍
36 mins of Honest Truth.,
well few have the balls to bare Toyota Philippines.,
Diesel power is obsolete. Environment friendly vehicles is a must nowadays.
Makina compare nyo... innova 2.8 vs tiggo 1.5 cno malakas...
Ill go for innova durable and fuel efficient
Innova at owner here 2022 model!
Toyota innova is durability & reliability & top global sales talaga spares no problem 😊 👌 😄 💖 ☺ 💓
Tiggo 8 vs Okavango is a good comparison. Try nyo
Lots of laugh @13:46 and 14:46 medyo akward. obviously, napag iiwanan na talaga ang Toyota ng ibang competitor cars sa ngayon. kaya yung avanza nila e inaupgrade nila ang car space
1yr 3mos owner here ng tiggo 8 (20,300kms odo) so far wala nmn issues and free yung pms for 3 years.
@@Jay-xn2zc still did not answer his question. vehicles will break down at one point, it is just a matter of when and where.
Please joing our REAL OWNER Tiggo 8 group at facebook.. 2 yrs na rin sa tiggo 8 and more to come.. :)
Tiggo for me
Toyota knows people will still buy their vehicles despite being so behind on tech and comfort na parang halos nanguuto na sila ng tao.
Boss, pareview na ulit after 2 or 3 years.
the reason why the Cherry has a longer warranty bcoz it is more often be in a car shop and most of those parts are low qualities.
having that Cherry should always be backed by the owner's deeper pockets.
You need to update your knowledge about Chery. They also give a FREE 3-year PMS program. All the labor AND parts for replacement are FREE in the first 3 years. They even go as far as Home Servicing for PMS so you don't need to go to the casa. Just book it via their mobile app.
