Loved seeing all your WIP”s. You have a ton of great stitching ahead of you. I’ve been retired for 5 months now and I still haven’t figured out. I feel like I’m stitching less. But, I’m not bored. There is always something to do. I’ve joined the quilter’s group at my church. So that takes up one day. It’s ice to have the time to be part of something new.
I loved your cross stitch shares today. I am a knitter and loved the green scarf you made. Got to love those grandkids. I have 3 that I love to pieces.
And...I must say that you are one of the most inspiring flosstubers out there Janet. I so admire all the work you put into your family, your job and your beloved hobbies!
Girl, you have no idea how long Ive been wanting to decorate your tiny tree❤ I love the popcorn cranberry garland! Bravo! It would be sweet with tiny pics of your darling grands❤❤
Hi Janet I love watching your WIP parade and some of them are so close to finishing. Love to see them get done in the coming year. You do beautiful stitching Janet in your projects and I always look forward to seeing your progress and finishes. You are a very talented and gifted lady. Love seeing your grand kids and I miss Opie. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind, God bless Pat
Oh, "way more Janet" is totally great with me!! Love, love your Mira's, in or out of print makes no difference to me! My favorite designer and cross stitch patterns are by Paula Vaughan. I have a large collection of her patterns and books. A few fully finished, a few finished and started and tons of "l need to start"! I am retired and I swear that I have bigger to-do lists then I ever had when I was working 8 - 10-hour days. I love being retired and doing what I love when the urge hits me and I don't have to stop for "pesky" need to go to work time, LOL. Your grands are beautiful and am so glad that you make time to spend with them. Sending you many warm hugs and love from sunny Arizona.🌵🌵🌻
Janet I adore them all but girl Paula Vaughn charts are no joke! I stitched every one of them I got my hands on I think in the late 80’s early 90’s and they took forever plus the backstitching is crazy! They are beautiful but man! I pray I never stitch another😂 the one named Wedding ring was my favorite of all and every one was gifted to my Aunts, Grandmother and Mom!❤ I bet I have a hundred wips and guess what.. I just bought more charts to stitch I need about a hundred years and I don’t have that much time in life left! Oh well someone will get a really nice stash one day😂 Blessings into the new year!
My first six months of retirement have included a lot of stitching but I am pulled in more directions than I expected so I cannot claim to be relaxed. My parents ended up busier after they retired…I have friends who are bored. We can’t predict what it will be for you but I know you will find joy. 🦉😊
I am making cozies for the first time also for Christmas gifts for the family. Some of them are their favorite things but in general I am doing IU/Colt flip sides. When my granddaughter stays the night I always make her waffles. May try French toast next time. She is pretty picky though, we will see.
Not only do you have to-do lists for yourself, but many people will think because you are retired that you will have time to do stuff for them. Do not let yourself be too busy to stitch! Set a time every day in which you take care of your mental health. Stitching is therapy and me-time. Don’t forget what you expect from retirement.
Thank you for the wip parade that I could enjoy that didn't take two lifetimes. I was medically retired twice, so I was already slowed down. Hopefully, surgeries will leave me alone. Now, I can move along slowly. I seemed to have caught an odd sense of humor too because what is not funny to someone else is sometimes times funny to me.
After retirement I seemed just as busy or busier. If I worked 8 hrs, why would I spend all day doing the things? I set an alarm and stopped when it went off. Whatever didn't get done will be there tomorrow. I had to teach myself to slow down, sit and stitch. You will enjoy being able to do what you want, when you want. ❤
Getting things done after retirement 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣 RIIIGHT!!! Good luck with that I keep telling myself...I have things to do and then I don't Good luck 😂 💙🖖

You’re right abt retirement. I bet I am busier but I will figure out the slow down thing also.

Thank you for that help.
Love it! Happy December ❤
Enjoyed. There is never enough time for all the things we want to do….even in retirement. However, retirement is wonderful!
I am ready!!!
