Happy New Year, Janet! Looking forward to more great videos from you. Whenever I see a new one I drop everything and watch. Thank you for sharing your project progress and your positive attitude about so many things around us. Happy stitching!
So sweet❤. I like what you do and I used your inspiration on my last Flosstube to explain my 2025 calendar. Sunday Start or Sampler, Monday is not expected because it is laundry, Tuesday is Book club/Zoom stitch/film Flosstube, Wednesday is touch a WIP, Thursday is easy/Aida with in person stitch group, Friday is Push to Finish, Saturday is Purple Pansy Angel. Thank you.
I like your program outline so I can't contribute to changes. I have some soft guidelines to setting up my stitchy calendar each month. I'll share the highlights for the cross stitch portion of my crafty planning. Fancy Fridays are for anything with beads, metallic, etc. Sampler Saturdays and Seasonal Sundays are just as they seem. I participate in dark 13th/31st for Halloween stitching as well as patriotic stitching on any federal holiday. The first weekend (Saturday - Monday) is for my 2025 focus on a finish piece. The last weekend of the month is a push for any SAL stitching that is outstanding. I have only my extra large, supersized, and BAPs on my WIPCO board and I work one number the 1st - 14th and the second number 15th - EOM with a minimum of 500 stitches on each. I try for 100 - 200 stitches a day. My thread a day is a family stitch item. I have 59 of my WIPs listed on a whiteboard numbered 2 - 60. My granddaughter uses a dice app to role two 30 sided dice to pick my weekly focus piece. Any remaining stitch time is devoted to that project. I have been using this system since 2021 and I have dropped my WIP count from 175 to 97 and I start something new (Flosstube is a trap) about once a month. The grands are adorable. This Nana has 9 ages 7, 7, 9, 12, 12, 14, 17, 19, and 22 and I can verify that they grow faster than your own kids, so grab all the precious memories as the come.
Beautiful stitching. Fun plans. Have you tried doing the tiny decision spins? Helps me pick on days I don't know exactly what I want to work on. Honestly why I enjoy all the games too. I am "forced" to work on the picks that fit. Then I don't have to decide haha.
If Markup is reading the blank space as stitches you can long press on the Markup button, which will put you in Erase mode and you can see what it is counting as stitches and unmark all that space so it's not seeing it as a stitch. I find this particularly a problem with Mirabilias because of that cream paper and the folds.
Beautiful stitching! I love your videos. I look forward to seeing you every Tuesday. Your positivity quotes could be helpful to me. I have been depressed lately. My mom passed in March and it has been so hard since. I just can't seem to get out of the depression. I could use lots of positive anything. Loved the videos and pictures of the grands. Have a terrific week.
Happy to see you my stitchy friend. It took be a long time to accept my name. I was always in some kind of trouble if I was called in by my parents by "Rebecca!" Mom named me for her favorite book: Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, but Mom called me Becca. She was the only one that did. I adopted Becci when my parents German friends, the Roschers sent me a birthday card! I've kept it ever since! Glad you received my doggo card! Love, love seeing those grands grow❤❤
You are such a good nana! Oh those copyrights…I got a notice on a piece where the composer died in 1748 and they had the title wrong…groan. However, I am sure that they are doing their best and no one is perfect. Love your videos. 🦉
