Thanks!
This is a current variant of Tamiya's 1979 F1 Ferrari. It really is a beautiful car and I wish I had a track to run it on. I built it about 2 years ago, and in this video you will see it running for the 3rd time!
I have a Tamiya F103 and I'm thinking of installing a brushless motor in it. I've already broken two brushed motors, and I've been advised to switch to a brushless one. I don't think I'll have a problem with control because I have a gyroscope, but I might not run it at 100% power. I need to find out if it will just spin and slide around!
Give it a try. Maybe try brushless with 13-17 turns.
@@LuckyDucky591 find some spurs and gear you Will need lol try not to exceed 2 s power i would try to gear up before going 3s my f104 pro 2 drives vers smooth whit 60 amps 4300 kv on 2s whit 3s it become à donut maker
This is a F-103, therefore it has the smaller diameter front wheels, as the older F1 cars were spec'd. All the spares available today, as your Hudys, are for the F-104 type chassis.
Put a silver can and heavier NiMh in to get a higher control to power relation :)
Box says f104w… I think it is OK with this motor. Had a 10.5 brushless in it at the start. Undrivable…
@@Triggered-RC Yes, I was wrong. Could not believe what a difference a 'W' makes to a F104. Now I got it. Thank you for the correction.
I am looking for rubber tires and rims in the correct size for my 312T3 and P34.
@@coolcycles I think the “w” stands for wide. Next to a proper F104, I bet it’s stance is wider.
F104W have a F103'S front suspension, and F103's front and rear tire ,all of other parts is F104‘s
Those are beautiful cars . Is that Nikki Lauder Ferrari?
It’s from the 1978 Grand Prix. I believe the drivers were Gilles Villeneuve and Carlos Reutemann.
@@Triggered-RC very cool. Thankyou 👍
Gille Villeneuve,,,he died in that car,
