Match is broken all around. Even in a condensed set. If you get #1 on a vertical and #2 on a corner. The CB who is the flat defender is not going to just stand there and wait for a possible BS under from the other side of the field. He will carry that vertical and the APX or WS or Will will carry or even play a fence technique, trialing him and the FS is over the top. So now we have a 3 on 3 or triangle almost. Super easy. Should not have to do three to four adjustments one each play. They should line up. This could be taken care in the “gameplan” area. Fronts, match cover calls, blitzes, run fits by different people, and how come they can’t do a DL play 2 gaps? Hahaha
I never understood why Madden never created the defensive version of Hot Route Master. The playing field is imbalanced and highly favored for offense to torch you.
What would the defensive version of hot route master? The playing field seems more balanced to the defense with coverage reactions being much better and linebacker adaptability.

Or even the option to put a quarter flat as an adjustment rather that curl flat or seam flat which is the only two options. Or maybe I don’t want a mid read in my coverage but rather have a 3 Rec hook.
That’s oils be super cool if I’m the gameplan area you could have a corner play MEG and even MOD on certain plays. MOD would be super hard for the AI to do but MEG they can. Rather than adjusting it.

@@thabruhfrom9444 Excellent, thank you for the he response. I guess setting your flats in Coaching Adjustments kills all that. Cause I usually set my flats to 0 and work my up as my opponent is more forced to throw medium, deep passes 2nd half. What about the Purple Curl Flats?
@@deongedeonpersonally, I don't run curl flats... they play about 10 yards from LOS, typically where a hook route would be on the outside. Flat zones typically are closer to the sidelines.

I personally don’t like match because it pulls zones out of position. If I want a true cover 2 shell or “sticks” defense, I’ll leave it on default non-match.

How? I'm testing and the mid-read defender doesn't follow the seam down the middle... even when I enable match.

I'm not able to get my vert hooks in C2 to match on any corner routes even with Match turned on and the Mid Read taken away. Am I missing something?

Match relies on zone, and play recognition.

I run cover 2 pinch which only has 2 verts, if I I put the blitzing cb in a vert and closes lb to deep zone does match still work?

No match coverage does not work in this game. I've tried all of this shit these guys don't match & they don't follow. Too many patches broke the game.

Blitzing or spying will work. You can do this out of basic cover 2, cover 2 invert, and cover 2 hard flat as well.
