Ah man, thank you for making this actually renter friendly! All of the “rental friendly” videos I’ve watched started with “ok, so I’m going to drill-“.
Command strip price is a killer. I'm almost thinking its better to staple them on and then get a $5 tub of spackling when you move. The wall does look great tho!
I was thinking this too but kind of worried about the hooks either showing through the grass or them not being able to hold it up. Gonna try both methods to see!
this is the first video that was actually renter friendly. i never thought of commend stripes but i do know if you keep it on for too long, it can deff leave a mark but imma try this
The cost to prevent damage to the wall was probably close to what you would’ve paid at move out to repaint. Js. Ima staple mine and ask for forgiveness later 😅😂 great video
I appreciate you so much. I don't know why I didn't think of command strips but you smart as hell for this. I can't wait to do my own wall! Edit: the shot with you at the end with the wall was a nice moment. It looked even better than I already thought it did!
Great Work, Jamaal!!! Definitely one of the Best Tutorials on sprucing up a rented Place Drill-free. So glad I came across your You Tube Channel to solve my headache on how to mount my own artificial Wall Grass on my Condo Balcony Wall, Thank you so much!
I have ordered some grass for my wall but I haven't put it on the wall cuz I seen some people be drilling the wall to install it but I like this command strips idea
Also from my experience with using peel and stick I’ve had where it peels the paint off the wall. Idk if you have seen that and what’s your solution to it?
I’ve had it happen before. Now I try to apply heat with a blow dryer, apply pressure to the command strip while pulling the strip off slowly. Keep pressure on the command strip because when it lifts up, it’s easier to peel paint.
Interested in this with adding silk flowers. Will the grid work for flossing through flowers through the green carpet? Don’t know what it’s like from the front, thinking it would work
Bro I was hoping someone did a video without screws, nails or a staple gun. Truth is I’m trying this on a brick wall and command strips are the way to go.
What type of staple gun are you using? Is it electric? I'm using a regular Arrow staple gun with 12mm staples, and the staples don't seem long enough to go through the pile.
To be honest, I saw command strips being suggested and immediately clicked off the video. Can't tell you how many times I've attempted to use command strips for light projects and they've fallen off within a day or two. Literally the last attempt was to hold up a 3lb sign and I used 4 command strips graded to hold up to 10lbs or something like that. It fell off within 10hrs. I couldn't imagine command strips holding up these grass panels to be honest.
I wanna do this for my classroom the walls are cement. I was thinking the same thing. I don’t know what to use without causing damage but making sure it sticks. I ordered the same grass panels as his.
Maybe you did it wrong? Not trying to be rude but I wood burn and never had an issue with command strips holding up my wood burned pieces that weigh very heavy
Man you should have used a staple gun easier and faster and way less money than those sticker things, and I feel like with the sticker if you got them on for a long time they ruin the paint on the wall when you take them off
Finally! A video that shows you how to do it without hurting the wall. Thank you so much!

Idk who brought the style of grass on the wall but it just makes walls fancy i love it:)
use comand strips with hooks then hook onto the grid

Thank you for this!! I was this close to using a staple gun to hang this in my house so glad I saw a how to before I tried doing that.
I was literally using those command strips last night to put a backdrop, they work great! Thnx for this tutorial!
Thank you for that video. My daughter wants grass squares on her wall now we know how to do it well!’

Same here that I see renter friendly cuz other videos show how to install but with a drill and I can't do that where I live
The cost to prevent damage to the wall was probably close to what you would’ve paid at move out to repaint. Js. Ima staple mine and ask for forgiveness later 😅😂 great video
I love your honesty with your teaching, that is why I have to like and subscribe
I would try double sided gorilla glue tape. Might be more cost efficient

End result looks great… you maybe could’ve cut the command strips to maximize your surface area
THANK YOU! I’m renting too and I just went through so many videos trying to figure out how to do the damn thing on my wall! Appreciate ya!
Your tutorial is the best for damage free apartment wall 💯
Thanks I ordered custom a neon sign with my logo on it. Will look good with this grass although I will be doing my outside on a covered patio
& out of all the videos i watched this is the cheapest grass wall for the price of the patches so thank you!!!
"Scratch that, put one in the middle". Lol!!

Such a cool idea having that inside we were thinking of our garden but thank you for the informative video 😊
I wonder if sticky tack would work...
What did you put to stick the grass on the wall?
So glad I found this video! Great info!

i wanna do the same trying to build a pc setup
Hello, is the wall able to hold led signs with the command strips?
Did it stay up with the adhesive strips?
Interested in this with adding silk flowers. Will the grid work for flossing through flowers through the green carpet? Don’t know what it’s like from the front, thinking it would work
is it still up on the wall?
It hasn’t fallen down since you put it up?
definitely doing this thank you!
I use a staple gun. It doesn't go THAT far in
Looks good! Definitely a vibe.
thanks fam!
Omg thank you!!!!! This is awesome and soooo helpful😊
It’s beautiful
How did you get rid of the plastic smell?
This is very helpful
Would hot glue work too? Or no
I don’t think that would be good, love cause the hot glue may not stick well, would damage your wall and/or melt in the heat over time.
The end result looks great.
Thanks for this!
Thanks for this great video! Really inspired us to do the same thing (:
This video has been very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful job
Thank you Jamaal, your tutorial was super useful!
excellent video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nicee! ❤
Luv it bro
Nice job but you didn’t link any of the pieces!? Also, do you have a link for that drink cart?
I had an idea watching this tutorial, it’s binding the ends of tiles together with zip ties. Just a thought.
cut the command strips in half then you will have double the amount.
Bro I was hoping someone did a video without screws, nails or a staple gun. Truth is I’m trying this on a brick wall and command strips are the way to go.
I wouldn't use command strips because they pull the paint off the wall when you remove them
Staple gun works a lot better and easier too.
true! didn't want to put holes in my wall! renting

This is the first video I found on this topic and it was a one and done.
Thank you so much 💛💛💛
