I like how you had the little character in the pictures. It really makes you, you. You should open a DeviantArt for your maps and characters. Maybe you could sell little characters such as Napoleon, Stalin, Spanish Soldiers etc.
I'm sold. I will definitely visit Ireland. When I do I will go straight to the Wild Atlantic Way BTW I hope the tourist guys gave you a big contribution for making such a great advertisement for them. In fact you should get free food and accommodation for the next 10 times you travel the Wild Atlantic Way.
This video is so persuasive. Thanks for posting this my father was amazed at this video and now he stated that we could go for vacation since I am a History fanatic and travel on the Wild Atlantic Way. Keep doing these amazing videos and see you in Ireland :)
Awesome video! I'm from the states here and I drove a decent portion of this back in June of 2014 where I stayed in Westport and Valentia Island! It was a trip I'll never forget and it was really nice to revisit these sites in this video!
Beautiful I'd love to ride the Wild Atlantic Way on my bike really is stunning, might have to try book some time of work to do it, thanks for the video
When my family visited Ireland, we saw the Cliffs of Moher, the Dingle Peninsula, the Aran Islands and Galway (which was probably my favorite part of the trip). This video just makes me want to see the rest of the West Coast!
I'm not much interested in Irish history. However I really appreciate this video. Unique, well made and intriguing. Well done in telling the story you care so much about.
Incredible video, John. I'm a New Yorker who's been to Ireland many times. I tell everyone I know that the west of the country is the best place to visit. I would love to bring friends on a trip up the Wild Atlantic Way. Just need to find a way to get two weeks off from work. Thanks for your great videos!
So cool :) How about doing the other half of the coast some time? 'The Non-Wild Not Quite Atlantic Way' and make a vid of that too? I'd love to see that!
I have been to Ireland to meet family a year back, It was one of the most beautiful places I have been too, and its only an hours flight from the UK :D
You left me hanging there. When you said, "The Wild Atlantic Way, it's very Wild, it's very Atlantic..." and then paused, I was expecting you to say, "Now go a Way!"
10:29 I see you were at Machaire Rabhartaigh which one of my favourite places in the world I go there every summer and I've had boat trips over to innis bo fainn and tori island
You have a nice mind. People don't really care about any sort of knowledge that (in their opinion) doesn't affect them directly. Understanding history and learning from the mistakes people made at some point and/or are still making does effect your life.
I was born in the United States, but in March of 2016, I flew into Dublin, drove hours across the country to the little village of Doolin. It is the most beautiful place I have ever seen on Earth. The pubs are brilliant, the Castle Doonagore is amazing, the Cliffs are breathtaking, and it's not far from Lahinch, the nearest city, and my ancestral home of Liscannor. I would like Irish citizenship, and I recognize Ireland as my adoptive home. I am directly linked to the powerful de Vesci clan of Kildare and O'Connor clan of Clare and Kerry. My great-grandfather was an immigrant from Liscannor and my Grandmother from Cork. I am learning the Irish language, and embrace Gaelic culture. Ireland is the greatest country in the world. Fada beo i bPoblacht na hÉireann.
Firstly amazing video (which is starting to convince Mr to visit my Celtic neighbours) and secondly do you think you could ever do a video on Owain Glyndŵr's uprising in Wales.
Man here's a cool subject for a video, the Johnson County war in 1890s Wyoming, and the subject of Michael Cimino's 1980 cinematic trainwreck, Heaven's Gate ;)
Superb video, love the historical content as well as the photographs. So, the Connor Pass, is a VW/campervan classed as a large vehicle? So you reckon two weeks so it's not a rush. Whats the craic with sleeping in the campervan, is it restricted at some points or would you recommend to stay in accommodation? My wife's formerly a Doyle and we love the outdoors so this could be next summers adventure!
As a person who lives in Western Ireland. I can say that the wild Atlantic way is breathtaking and never gets old no matter how many times I visit one of its locations. Do yourself a favour if your thinking of holidaying in ireland. Stay clear of Dublin and the East. No offence to you easterners but Dublin has devolved into a cringy oversaturated tourist trap with fairly boring attractions in my opinion. Go on a road trip on the wild Atlantic, it will be well worth your time and money. If your not really into road trips, I would recommend staying in tralle(probably spelt that wrong, sorry kerry people) or dingle. The kerry Atlantic area is probably my most favourite part of the Atlantic way. It has breathtaking senoiary with its cliffs and mountains. If your in sligo, drop into the W.B Yeats restaurant. It's right on the cities outskirts. They got good chips :)
I like the smiling little guy in every picture :)
He's a little to excited XD
I like how you had the little character in the pictures. It really makes you, you. You should open a DeviantArt for your maps and characters. Maybe you could sell little characters such as Napoleon, Stalin, Spanish Soldiers etc.

city.
