I agree, there have been times when things of great value to people are idly tossed away by sheer ignorance. A single mom can keep her family well by using it as a job, to sew for the public. The metal rack under the knitting needles goes for about 50 or 60 dollars. It looked brand new. It’s a sliding rack for something like a trash can under the cabinet.

Dishes do not sell as well as they used to especially China unless they have the whole set with no chips or cracks. Jelly jars are harder to find and are in high demand to all of the off grid group.

That "Thing " as you called it, the flat compartmented wooden box is a "California job case" used to hold type slugs in the old days of the printing press. When you were filling up a print.job in order to keep your project organized you would plan out your print job while gathering your slugs from a larger stock of various slugs and store them in these small flat cases that went like drawers in cabinet or just stacked.
People would definitely buy the skeletons on a bike. So frustrating watching your video.

I think you would have gotten more money for selling that shark floor steamer online then what you get by stripping it for the copper in the cord. I think anyway, maybe there's something I don't know about power cord wires and how much you can scrap those for.

I just looked these up. Depending on what you have, prices range from $35 to over $250. That more than scrap prices.
I would love to run across some scores like those. I saw so many things you passed up and it drove me crazy how you barely looked in the bottom of boxes that were loaded with resellable items. Scrap yards take it. It's usually referred to as insulated copper. Most scrappers will save it up and take in a couple large barrels full.
