I hadn’t heard of a Charging Station before this - very cool!
You and Greg from How to Drink have taught me so much about cocktails and mixology. Plus, you are both so passionate about cocktails and the history behind them. I love and appreciate these videos!
Thanks!!!!
This was awesome. I love the timestamps and ingredients in the comments. Almost turns this video into a quick lookup reference guide. Thanks!
This is great!! I'd love more vodka cocktails in the future!
Really love the new format Leandro!
Loved the twists on all the cocktails!
Really great variety here! I like how you mix in some new classics as well as old ones. Great editing too- very concise. I need to work on that 😅
This vid has made me want to try vodka cocktails again, thanks!!
These look great, thanks voor the recipies.
The editing in this video is the best I’ve seen for this channel! Come along lightyears from video like the original negroni video 😂. Love this style of video
Hahaha the Charging Station is the perfect name for the ingredient combo, modern classic in the making!
Best video yet. Simple ingredients and yummy
Really you did wonderful job, very simple easy and good to memorize
Nice and very professional drinks and video guys.
I like to mix things up with any vodka drink by using lime/orange/vanilla vodkas. Used to be quite dismissive of simple vodka drinks, but you show they can be great.
So cool recipes and simple! I like it! Thank you :)
Awesome video. I gonna make all of these!
Thanks! Great video!
Awesome! Thank you
Okay, the method for the vodka soda is fantastic!
This was really great. I needed some inspiration on making cocktails with vodka, since my group has ' esma's' as a staple so there is always vodka waiting to be used.
The last drink is something I’ve looked for over a year so thank you
Yummy now I’m craving 1 n it’s only 7am
The chi chi sounds delicious! I think that’ll be next on my list to try
yummy selection, gotta try these :) 🙏
AWESOME!!!! Lui Fernandez needs to see this video!!! I love vodka, so I might just try all of these!!!
These were awesome! Made a couple earlier to practice and I’m already tipsy
I tried the Cosmopolitan but with 2oz of citron vodka. Dry, tart and surprisingly sophisticated. Only Cosmo I’ve ever enjoyed.
Just bought a vodka bottle before Systembolaget here in Sweden closed for the whole easter. Perfect!
Awesome vodka cocktails thank you for sharing us.🍻🍻🍻🍻🍹🍹🍹
Ur way to explanation is very clear and memorable. Huge respect. Cheers. Iam bar supervisor in Dubai. 🍹🍹🍹
Great video!
Awesome
Awesome video! Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Very nice
Perfect for me. I'm doing an exploration of cocktails with a monthly spirit focus. I chose vodka for April and I really have no idea what to do with vodka
Thanks!
Thank you Jeff!
For the appletini, I like to cut the simple in half and replace that with a bit of midori, the melon taste isnt detectable but it defini sweetens the drink up as well as makes it look more fluorescent
you're the man
Great video! I want to add in my go to for vodka: Seagrams. It's a hidden jem!
You are..Great ..👊... thnkx it...💗...Good Luck
Thanks for the recipes. Cocktail snobs tend to turn up their noses at vodka but I think it's an underrated spirit.
Wow! There are two in there that will be on my list tonight!!!! "Fruitless", what an awesome Dad-joke!
Ahhhh, nice to see the kangaroo again. 😋
I’d also be remiss as a tiki bar manager if I didn’t point out that an original Chi-
Chi also has a skosh (0.5 oz) of Trader Vics macadamia liquor, too...if anyone felt so inclined to zhuzh up your recipe, here.
* runs to kitchen to make a tropical drink *
gonna need to try again, then. was disapointed in the blandness of the one I made to video specs
@@ruthhallows Yeahhh, honestly, aside from the buzz you'll get, vodka just makes it taste like a straight-forward virgin piña colada. But just that touch of macademia really makes it it's own drink.
Leopold Brothers new york sour apple is sooooo good in an appletini or apple spritz with calvados 🤤
Nice 👍
The Hawaiian Sunset from Smuggler's Cove is one I like (the only vodka cocktail in the book, actually).
This mans drink presentation game goes crazy
Nice!
Terrific video. What brand of coffee liqueur & vermouth do you use for these drinks? Thanks
Easiest way to make the green apple juice? Do you hand squeeze them or blend them?
When I first started drinking many years ago, a White Russian was simply a Black Russian with White Creme de Cacao substituted for the Coffee Liqueur.
Best part is his shake!
Here for the algorithm!
Yup
You've been missing out haha
All hail the mighty algorithm
¿qué?
10 cocktails in 10 minutes? ... in a single shot? like Rope by Hitchcock ... naaaaah! ... the magic of edition. Great video Leandro, a quick reference guide for vodka, my #2 favourite distilled spirit.
Well-presented! Its 9am....I'm gonna make a drink! and do some taxes 😂
Do you need a mixing glass to stir or can you also stir it in a shaker?
Thank you for your high quality content! It's really nice to see so many original cocktails. But i didn't get what is coconut syrup. Is it coconut cream with simple syrup 1:1?
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk to 3/4 cup sugar
@@TheEducatedBarfly Thank you!
No honey. It’s Leandro’s fault that we’re out of vodka 😂
😍😍😍
Sir do you hv any recipes of Rose apple fruit s (fruit juice) Mocktail or cocktail recipes.
Those drinks all look lovely! Just asking myself who drank all those amazing concotions? :D
Hey man, great channel. And yea I haven’t posted on mine I think since 2012. Nice meeting you and keep up the good work
also is coconut syrup the same as cream of coconut? 1:1 ratio of coconut and simple syrup?
I've had this issue, when making espresso martinis. I feel like the hot espresso melts too much of the ice, and it's gets too diluted.
Do you chill your espresso any before adding it inn?
Thanks for the shoutout 🤗
Thanks for the recipe :)
Could you do a tasting video on bitters on BFFP? Laugh first... I don't know what the difference is. how do I know when to use bitters and if so what ones to use where.
How do you make coconut syrup? I know I can Google it but I want your take. I've never used it.
Do you have a recipe for the Coconut Syrup?
Is coconut syrup the same as cream of coconut ? Thanks
Thank you for this video! Do you have a recipe for the coconut syrup?
Yes I do here ya go: th-cam.com/video/KptY-1ye6lY/w-d-xo.html
@@TheEducatedBarfly yay! Thank you! I also love the cold rich simple syrup!
Yee~! Vodka💕
What is the last glass called? How do I find it?
What brand of apron are you wearing? 😀
glad to see john debary getting some love on here! theyre an inspiration as a fellow queer person who loves cocktails
You guys should do a video on Aloe Liqueur cocktails!
Fun video giving some maligned cocktails a good showing. But I did miss the tasting notes! Also I wondered why you didn't mention who created the Chi Chi
, but I guess it's not necessarily known (from a brief look just now), so that's fair. 😄
Members cut has the tasting notes. Was a little too long to include the full version for regular TH-cam :)
@@TheEducatedBarfly Ahh, that's totally fair. Yeah, I figured if it had tasting notes it'd need to be 2 videos.
But hey, you should mention the member benefits in cases like this!
That's true. It's always a struggle of how to pitch and how much to pitch the memberships :)
Dan Humphrey Vibe😄
Hey Mr @theeducatedbarfly is coconut syrup the same as Coco Lopez, or is it like a Lopez / simple syrup hybrid? Also I am *absolutely* making a Charging Station this weekend.
It’s 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk to 3/4 cup sugar
@@TheEducatedBarfly thanks as always!
I'm just trying to interact with this post to get it pushed up if possible--was searching the comments for this exact question!
Heyyyy leanbro love you xx
Labowski approves.
I need to find some Mr. Black!
www.mrblack.co/us/
I like Vodka with Pineapple juice, so I will get Chi Chi pleasesssss🤤🤤🤤🤤
I'v noticed in all your videos that you add the ice to the tin separately, after you have poured the contents to make the drink in the other half of shaker, then shake. Where as others always put ice first and pour contents over the ice, then shake. Does that make a difference in any way, taste or otherwise? or is that just your personal preference?
Yes it makes a huge difference no matter what tin you put your ice in always add it LAST. If you add it first like so many people do, you have ice rapidly melting in your tin as you make the drink. This adds A LOT more dilution to the final product. One of three small changes you can make to be sure you’re making the best cocktails possible is to add that ice last.
I thought these would be basic cocktails. Where do i get firewater bitters and coconut syrup?
I feel like number ten should be served in a ChiChi's souvenir glass
The glass for the white russian that you used, where do I get it?
The glass is from Amehla Co amzn.to/3cICe8a
Sorry but what is "green apple juice"? can I just use typical apple juice? I dont know what green apple juice is
What is the best mixed drink with vodka?
How do you make the coconut syrup good sir?
1 cup coconut milk to 3/4 cup white sugar
My dad sent me this video and I enjoyed it. Was curious to observe your practice of sweetening cranberry juice. I already think of cranberry juice as containing more sugar than people realize, so was not expecting this. Were you getting a lot of feedback that your cosmos did not taste sweet enough without the added sugar?
Yeah I got all natural cranberry juice with no added sugar at all and sweetened that. Cranberry cocktail made by ocean spray which most people use as “cranberry juice” not only has added sugar but also has other fruit juices added, such as apple and pomegranate.
Ah ok this makes more sense lol. I'm like, "damn does ocean spray really need more sugar??"
@@WinstonFiore yeah straight cranberry juice is unforgivingly bitter and tart, needs a little simple syrup
Now people can actually get creative with vodka
Excellent! What vodka(s) do you recommend?
any Vodka you like :)
@@TheEducatedBarfly the only one I ever *really* liked is Pur Vodka (from Canada), and I don't know if I can get it in the US :(
How do you make coconut syrup? Do you add coconut milk ?
1 cup coconut milk to 3/4 cup sugar
What are you using for coconut syrup? Got a recipe?
I’m using 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk to 3/4 cup white sugar
Can an electric milk frother be used the same as an electric drink mixer?
🤔 it’s worth finding out for sure
Check out our Freepour video tomorrow
Hey Leandro you left out the vodka measurement in the description for the Cosmopolitan
Fixed. Thanks!
Dave from Booze on the Rocks sent us to your channel. He has a challenge out to you! New to your channel. Great to meet you. - Cam & Theresa
Cheers! Gotta go check that challenge! And welcome!
I’m a 13 year old and I make some of these cocktails for my parents and they really enjoy them my first vodka cocktail was the Appletini but my first cocktail was a gin and tonic
Where was this video 2 months ago? Lol I had a bottle of vodka in the freezer for months and finally just gave in and made mules.
Can someone please tell me how can I measure 0.25 oz on the jigger that he uses
You can accurately eye out 1/4oz in the base of the jigger
@@TheEducatedBarfly I can't tell how happy I am right now man. Really appreciate it 👍👍
What if you were excellent at a sport? Which sport would you choose?
What Nick & Nora is the Cosmo in?
It's in a special glass that we will reveal soon :)
