  • how I find energy to live everyday -
I’ve been in the midst of some medical problems lately, and have found myself struggling to achieve my daily chores and routines, but I keep working towards finding ways to make things a little easier. It’s been a strange time so I thought I’d share some things that have been bringing me joy as I hopefully near the end of the road and fully recover! So important to redefine success and productivity when times like these arise. I couldn’t think how to describe my mindset, but the best I could think of is ‘small living’, being that day-to-day is being prioritized, hour-by-hour. Right now is not the time to plan years in advance, it’s simply to take a deep breath and make today matter. Sending you much love. A special thank you to the creator ‪@PrincessLianaRose‬ for reminding me of that beautiful quote by Road Dahl in one of her videos ❤️

As some of you know I’ve been facing some unexpected health issues lately and have found myself - at times - moving through my daily work and chores slower than I wish, but I keep working towards finding ways to make things a little simpler. I'm on the process of accepting myself that I'm a person with low energy. Sometimes I fall into comparison with others who can do so much things at once without feeling any stress. This causes me to feel useless and unworthy. As I watch this, I become more opened to accept the nature of myself and thanks for those three tips to do. They are very helpful.

    • @yanikeonpurpose

Spleen deficiency will do this. Research it.
You’ll need to consume foods that give you strong energy like yams, plantain, green banana etc. These contain complex carbohydrates that your body will take hours to burn off & so turn into fuel.
Beans are essential for B vitamins & also animal flesh. Sometimes have some liver & red meat.
Lastly consume herbs ashwaganda & any kind of ginseng regularly to regulate the adrenal glands.. + sea weed for the thyroid gland & thyroid function.
No medicine can cure this. This is a systemic issue that you must take on with your whole chest. Life needs energy.
Worse comes to worse partner with someone who has high energy so they can carry you so to speak.

I never realized until recently how wonderful it is to do one task at a time. To actually slice an apple slowly, the way you touch or look at a plant. The act of just leaning over to blow out a candle. I am recently semi retired and have never had such long periods of time to myself. I understand the sudden health things that can come to us; the acceptance and knowledge of not knowing and leaning into self care gives us relief - then joy when the body responds and heals.

I wake up every day not wanting to wake up, unable to face life cause it's just too hard. But I hear my cat crying at my door, a sweeter voice you could never hear, my cats need me, and I get up for the 2 of them, and for a cup of tea, then I take it from there. I wonder though, why won't this dread ever depart? I miss waking up excited and happy. I feel like if I give in to giving up on the struggle in order to embrace peace and happiness, I'll die. One thing I am grateful for is the quiet. I wake up and it's quiet. I am really thankful for that, and I gave that to myself by moving here.

I have a husband and four daughters that have to eat and wear clothes, gosh darn it haha. So, I make a list of every tiny task I’ve completed, and it’s very uplifting to see. I’ve listened to this 3x. I cook and bake slowly. I assumed because of being made fun of for being slow, that the time I took to make wholesome meals slowly was less appreciated because of my lack of productivity elsewhere. Then I’d feel intimidated because others are more productive and faster, which left me feeling less confident. Thank you for sharing!! I didn’t know I could accept this and intentionally continue a slow living vibe. I thought my overwhelm meant I had to double down and be more productive, which is…so overwhelming and stressful that I often find myself sick or making poor nutrition choices, especially taking care of 4 young kids.
Your self knowledge and descriptive words are so uplifting and help me to understand myself in a new way.

ugh that honey comb looked SO GOOD!
I love this topic. I've been chronically ill for 15+ years, and all throughout my twenties i would push my body so much, in order to keep up with my friends in the city. walking from one end of the city , to the other - even that was too much for me. But i would not allow my body to dictate what my personality so desperately longed for. it's been a journey for me, to accept the health i have, now i's 31 and live much more slowly.
my personality and how i must live to function, doesn't align. there will always be grief there. But there is nothing more healing and wonderful than when you take care of yourself and your body thanks you for the rest and care that it needed for so long. it is not my body's fault that it is sick. so i shouldn't punish it further.
it can be hard to accept yourself.

That pie looked scrumptious! I come from a long line of Amish pie bakers, and when I was a child my mother and grandmother would always take the scraps of pie dough left over from trimming the edges and make me a little pie in my tiny pie pan. I still do that to this day when I make a pie. Or if I don't have enough dough left over for that, I moosh the scraps together, roll them out, cut out fanciful shapes, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on them, and bake them on a flat pan alongside the pie. If I don't have even enough scraps to do that, I take whatever snippits of dough remain and form a little round shape, roll the edges slightly, and place a dollop of jam in the middle and bake a tiny tartlet. Making pie is such fun...but of course, the most fun is eating it! Thanks for your lovely Sunday video!

All I dream about in this life is good health, my own home and my favorite job. It is so wonderful and valuable when you are healthy and nothing hurts, all tests are good. When you have your own cozy house, albeit small and simple. It's great when there is a quiet job without much stress, somewhere in a small town with friendly and familiar people. I don't need anything more in this life. Of course, there will be failures and problems, but the basis of happiness for me now is only this - health, home, work and a familiar cozy circle of friendly people. I don't even dream of a partner. I wish everyone and everyone to find their place of power, their safe place where you will be calm and well. On weekdays and busy days with stress, quiet streets, houses and coffee shops are especially valuable for calming down.

As a high sensitive person, I struggle a lot with the modern world. Its often too loud for me and I hunger for nature and quiet places. My son is also high sensitive, very clever and creative and I see his daily struggle with school and expectations from other people. He stays calms all the day and keeps it together and at home his energy explodes. Not good for both sides, because for me his frustration and outbursts are also difficult. But going into the forest calms us both. I am sure, he will manage his pent up aggressions one day, but its a way to go...
What do we hear most in our lifes? --> "Tear yourself", "It's not that bad", "Stop whining", "You're too sensitive" ... some people are not ment to be in this age and economy world!

I am age 71, and I also fight low energy with multiple Autoimmune Conditions. I have not found many good strategies though. My husband, age 77, no longer drives and has cognitive decline so this means EVERYTHING falls on me. I make his doctor's appointments; I drive him to and from and attend them so that we get the deatils correctly. If anything gets done, the dog walked, the food shopping done, cooking done, laundry done, bills paid, the errands done and so on...it all falls on me. I try to break these chores down to handling several each day to spread them out throughout the week but there are many demands on me very single day so time to rest does not come easy. I feel that as “young adults”, there is this underlying pressure to be super active, an overachiever, a traveler, a party animal, an excercise freak. So it feels almost rebellious to decide to be true to one’s nature of living a slow pace life. Thank you for reminding us that there are more than one ways of living life! Sometimes it is hard to remember…

You and Isabel are the two channels I come to for inspo and some peace of mind tbh after moving to the Nordic Woods of Sweden. Life hit me pretty hard. I'm actually coming up with a resource that helped me become the man I am today. I used to live in Miami being around street violence, guns, death, and I even used to eat $3 a day, 25 cents noodles, expired toast and canned campbell tomato soup. I survived the Boston Marathon Bombing which was a few feet away and I saw all the blood the people screaming and I was alone at 18. I also used to live in a room with no kitchen, trash bag as a window and bugs crawling on me at night. I also took boxing to protect myself and learned how to defend against bigger threats. Now I live in a cabin in the north of Sweden where I go down to a lake to breathe and heal my past and I post on TH-cam to help others who need it the most. I'm going to come up with 20 minute mini documentary of all of this soon 💜🙏🏽

    Hello,
I too have a love for lit candles.
My mother was deeply afraid of them starting a fire-So, I was never allowed, as an adult, to light any of her many candles that she had on display. And, in my own home, I am always filled with happiness whenever I light all of mine and enjoy them with care. They have the ability to bring a great amount of “warmth” into a home. I am 75 years old and still alive 🤗

I need a lot of time to myself, etc. Then I was diagnosed with autism. Everything in my life suddenly clicked into place. I know this word carries a stigma, but autism in female presenting people, is so different than what people generally think. It might be worth wile for you to do a little bit of research on this topic. And if you don't relate, well, that’s okay. In that case, you just learned something new.

Unfortunately, as many here seem to, I suffer from severe depression. It is as painful physically as it is emotionally, and I went from the picture of health to almost the exact opposite, in a matter of a couple of years, and my energy level went down immensely. I didn't know my father, but I'm told his depression was so severe, he was often hospitalized for it.

Your videos are meditation sessions for me. I am low energy person who is extremely responsible and thus, overwhelms easily when deadlines are approaching and there are a lot of unknown unknowns, meaning no time to prepare in advance. I feel build-up of anxiety during those times. My way of relaxing is creating something for my house that ads to order/neatness/organization. Perhaps I should also add atmosphere into the mix next session (lighting candles, etc.). Knowing that I am not alone and there are ways to cope/adjust is very important, thanks a lot for sharing!

So beautiful to see you in the forest, making the pie, and the heavenly view of your valley by your brother.
I have always been tired, through my life, needing more rest than others, but it has made me a patient person. I focused on health and nutrtion, beauty, and was able to do most things at a slower pace. When we would go hiking or camping I would bring a notebook, and sketch if I needed to rest, and the family would come back to find me. I was able to read books, and play quiet games with my sons when home, and beach outings always agreed with us all. Now, I care for our disabled son, and I have a lot of understanding for his needs, and patience that is needed. We so enjoy the lovely countryside and homelife you share.
