I think James Cook is a great player. But Beane has to balance our Cap (which is negative right now) and decisions have to be made. CRAZY idea is trading James Cook for Maxx Crosby and then drafting a RB with one of our 2nd round picks. This would reset the RB position to a fresh 4 year rookie deal. Crazy idea because I love what Cook did this year.
Joe I believe Buffalo must address secondary. Rapp seems to be a liability due to injuries. I like Hamlin but the guy is just small no other way to say it. Douglas had a bad season. Elam obviously just doesn't fit at all. So these are things that have to be figured out. Ed Oliver started showing up late season and in the playoffs I wish he'd been able to play that way all season. Buffalo pass rushing is almost non-existent. I like Rousseau, but Epenesa & Miller aren't getting the job done. Daquan Jones isn't productive and he is aging out. Offensively I don't know how much change is needed just more consistent play and a more diverse play scheme. So Offense retain what we can. But a complete defensive retooling is needed along with the McDermott philosophy.
RE: Building a team to beat both the Ravens and the Chiefs. Both those teams have great QBs, who are mobile. They also have really good defenses so you can not just expect Josh Allen to put on a cape every time and have him beat them on his own. You need defenses that match up against the Ravens/Chiefs. You need stud IDL that can push/collapse the pocket. We need our own Chris Jones.
@DeepThinker-gc8nz good question, he was injured early on this season and I think Josh wasn't very accurate this season with a lot of passes in general . I would like to know this as well. I'm sure Joe Marino has the statistics.
You keep saying, “Stick to what got you there”, but KC studied what got us there, and was ready for All of it. None of it worked. Bills should’ve known to have plays no-one’s seen ready. KC knows this, and that’s why they always beat us! We need a better Coach.
Has anyone seen the mic’ed up video the NFL released today? I noticed something incredibly irritating 24:32 into that video , the NFL inserted a shot of the chain gang measuring the controversial 4th down play in the bills game . a chain gang actually never came out on this play though. The shot they pictured was at midfield over the chiefs logo. The actual 1st down line to gain was at the 40 yard line. Why insert this shot you might ask? Why lie in your editing? And why omit the shots that illustrate the line to gain was actually made? This was intentionally done, to rewrite the history of this play, and the failure of the officials. The NFL clearly knows they messed up, otherwise, they wouldn’t have manipulated the edit. Am I crazy?
Just watched to confirm, pretty obvious the whole Bills/Chiefs half of the video is a Chiefs advertisement rather than an attempt to actually represent the ebbs and flows of the game also
Wait until next season to get concerned. Dalton had a great rookie season so we know what he’s capable of being. Keon is a rookie. I believe Brady’s gameplan to spread the ball out makes it harder to get great numbers also. But If they struggle next season then I feel like it’s time to be concerned.
Brandon Beane continues to strengthen his candidacy for mayor of KC! First Mahomes, then got snaked for McDuffie, and now Worthy. We absolutely LOVE him!! Worthy is what y’all needed in that offense. Coleman was a miss by comparison this season no question! Kincaid is AWESOME stop acting like Allen threw him a wide open pass and he dropped it. Allen threw up a prayer to a SPOT and Kincaid almost got there. He had to go back the other way and dive just to have a chance… we’ll take him if you’re done with him!
It is fair to be concerned. Kincaid was an older rookie, and has now played two years in the NFL. He will turn 26 during next season. He should be at his peak at age 26. This season he needs to play like a veteran 1st round pick.
We have a great quarterback with Josh, Mahomes has played on a team with a better defense, if the Bills defense was as good as the chiefs, the conversation would be different.
They came out passing and went 3 and out. I don't think game script had anything to do with them not getting ball to Cook. Seems like they outsmarted themselves instead of doing what got you to that moment
100% and it never even made sense to do that because we started w the ball so the main priority shouldve been running the clock and keeping mahomes off the field
Great point the Lions did too.Why get cute do what got you there.Eagle fan but Allen is one of my favorite players and I hope these idiots in the media don’t blame him.Sometimes it’s not your time but keep your heads up Bills fans future is bright as long as you have Josh!!!
While the Chiefs may have outschemed the Bills, can we acknowledge that in the last 3 playoff losses to the Chiefs, injuries to defense absolutely crippled our D? Tre White wasn’t in the 13 Second Game, Milano and Bernard out last year, and Rapp and Benford this year. I would bet that those injuries made the difference in each game.

I feel we’re close as a team to beating KC, we go down to the wire every year with a severe talent deficit, get a game wrecker on defense and a true WR1 and this team is easily in a superbowl, McDermott took a big step I think this year, much more aggressive with his play calling compared to prior seasons and it paid off, free agency and the draft will be critical.
What concerns me about Josh is the script on him is extremely obvious and KC was the only team all year to figure it out On sneaks, he always goes the same direction. You’d think we would’ve adjusted eventually or possibly do a jump pass fake or something off of it And him going to the right, when there’s an unblocked defender he’s going to pump fake and roll out to the right. If you just don’t bite on it and stay in front of him, he can’t make those huge roll out throws Those 2 adjustments are your best way to stop Allen and KC did amazing at both of them
Drop and Spot. I like it. I’m very concerned about Keon. I didn’t like the pick, but then I was getting excited about Keon after the Seattle game. That quickly came to an end though. Now I feel we’re right back to where we were after last season. We NEED an X receiver who can help our vertical attack. Even if Keon is going to improve, when is that going to be? How much will he improve? We don’t have time to waste.

@ hopefully Allen will go back to California one day and play for the 49ers. It’s going to be to hard to get elite skill position players up there in the cold wet snowy weather. Those guys prefer to play in warm weather, indoor stadiums or if it is cold, a big market like Philly. Coleman, shakir and Samuel is disrespectful to a top 3 QB. All the great QB’s either had elite WRs or an elite TE. Buffalo has neither and it’ll be hard to get one in free agency to come up to Buffalo over other teams.
The Bills better break out the red helmet Kelly era jerseys for one game next year. Preferably the last game at Rich/Ralph Wilson Stadium. I don't know why they haven't yet. Oh, and trade for Myles Garrett while kicking Von Miller out the door.
People, stop acting like the Bills suck! They are better than most teams in the NFL, they hurt themselves along with the refs, they are 1 play away from being in 2 SB’s.
Folks keep saying Kincaid and Coleman aren’t doing enough. But let’s be real, those dudes get 2 targets in big games for some weird reason. And when they do get targeted, it’s some insane difficult pass and catch! Hell, Cooper went games not being targeted at all!!! I never thought Brady was a great OC. I felt like he was very basic and his job is to limit Josh from his turnovers. That gameplan was a rookie’s against KC. And I also think he can’t scheme players open and Josh struggles with precision passing. So please stop fantasizing about McConkey and Worthy should’ve been Bills because they wouldnt have been any better in this offense. And as for Cook, I feel like this stuff is intentional in regard to contract negotiations. The more greater his numbers and performances are in big moments, the more it’s gonna cost to keep him.
True, the refs made some bad calls, but hey we shouldn't have been in a situation where they could control our destiny..so.we just have to be better on all levels in all phases of the game
@ I don’t agree with that excuse narrative anymore it’s what KC says when they get handed wins. You should only need to get as many yards as required you shouldn’t need to get double to rule out unfair officiating
I believe the drsft decision did not include Worthy regardless of the trade. I think it was between Coleman and Legette. I would take Coleman over Legette given this year as a measuring stick. We will see this coming season.

I can't say that KC is has the best coaching staff when they get away with so many calls that other teams don't get away with. If all things were fair and they were winning like this all would be fine, but all things aren't fair.
@ Sounds like your crying about it right now, the difference is their isn’t a national narrative on bad calls in the Bills beating Baltimore game. I honestly don’t even think there was one bad call in that game against the ravens, Lamar had turnovers and Andrews had drops
I hope we can bring Ty Johnson back on a deal that makes sense for the Bills but also makes him feel appreciated
We need all 3 backs..that was the best back field I've seen in a long long time here..RB is a important position
Keon Coleman's rookie year
I agree 100%
Are we gonna ignore the aspect of luck and circumstance? The chargers drafted Quentin Johnston in the first round last yr …

I would like to see a catchable ball percentage to Kincaid, how many true drops did he have.
i saw someone said he caught 80 % of passes thrown to him his rookie year this he caught 56% a gigantic drop off

But how many of the passes were catchable? That’s my question because I don’t recall many hitting him in the numbers and being dropped
