Such stunning scenery! All those switchbacks will certainly get you good at trail braking and throttle control! Every time I see cobblestone roads I always wonder how long it must have taken to lay all those stones and keep the even! Of course when they get wet your “pucker” factor goes way up when you’re on a bike! We’re entering the summer heat here in Arizona so I’m looking forward to doing some mountain rides too!
Great video ! Did the same route a few years back, and learned a lot about riding in the mountains! It's only 1000 km from my home, so I probably do it again this year. 🤔
Great video again guys - I love the way Gary just accepts extra time stops so Brian can play with the drone LOL. I may try that in Belgium next month ;)
This was a “free day” so it was run on our time and we had more flexibility. But yes, Gary is really cool. Relaxed but in control. He is a great tour leader.
I've been watching your swiss tour now for 8 months all good apart from your break down. This 1 was great sun, cloud and hairpins. Noted every road and pass , counting the days until 7th of June.
Forgive me for saying this but Carolyne; you look absolutely beautiful and fresh at 15:13 as your panning the switchbacks but your face is so fresh and your hair is amazing and I love your eyes. So wide and green. I am not hitting on you. Just you look so fresh in the shot and your skin is amazing. I am loving this ride with you as always. I so wish I could do a ride like that but I will never be travelling overseas in my lifetime. So I have to love it through your ride and the rides of others who do these sort of trips. Thank you {and Brian} for taking us along. P.S. Put the foam padding between the top of your head and the helmet. You need to make the weight be supported by the whole of the top of your head; not just pad your forehead. Once your whole head top supports the weight you should no longer have the pain at the forehead. 😊😍
Thank you Kassie, that is very kind. Sometimes the light is my friend and makes me look better on camera. Just luck and good timing really :) And you are so right about the helmet!!! I kept padding where it was hurting and making it worse! I only twigged at the end of the tour. 😣 🙄

Just stumbled across your vblogs, binged loads of them I’ve enjoyed them all up to now so thanks to you both. Can I ask what is the make of the black jacket Carolyne is wearing for most of the time?
So looking at the switchbacks there seems to be literally nothing to keep you from going over the side of the cliff if you make a poor turn, well at least in certain sections. Just breathtaking scenery, I always thought the Bayern was beautiful but looks like Switzerland is up one level.
Yup!! Most roads have big gaps or no barriers at all. Makes sense for the snow I think. It makes the ride extra exhilarating as you can definitely wobble off the mountains.
"she can't stay long away from her bike she gets worried" Well bunny even the scooter delivery guys put immobilizers on to prevent thief mostly because it's a way to make money versus pleasure travel but I do understand. Bunny, have you had your vehicles stolen before and maybe that is why your worried about venturing far from your ride.
Great Vid .... From a Canadian.... lol... Hey Caroline,.... @26:30 Where the pressure point is at....take your thumb, or Bryan's Thumb.... and press in to create a bit of a depression in the Styrofoam so it doesn't press against your noggin so hard in that spot..... the depression will stay that way for about 3 or 4 days, depending on the skid-lid.
Still loving your Swiss tour! Get a nice hard (baseball, billiard ball) ball and press in the (mostly Styrofoam) parts that put pressure. Go slow because you can compress but never decompress the foam lining.
Brilliant riding roads!, I’m I correct in thinking that your ‘main’ dial on your Harley is your RPM and you digital readout is your MPH?… never see that before. Great video!
Dear Ms. No Brakes - Although the scenery is really something I'd like to have on my bucket list for places to go, and you look absolutely delicious as usual, my immediate concern became the lack of actual road rails and guards. You are going about 50 mph or 80 Kmh downhill where you could easily jump the road and launch yourself down a mountain side - btw: Good passing - When I pass, I'm not as much concerned as I am in my Merc. If you find yourself caught out in the oncoming lane, you can split the lane between the oncoming and the vehicle you are passing. High beams on I love the fact you can go on group adventures like that - And l like mostly the tail end of the video upto 27:27 - thanks
When the Gotthard opens every year after the winter, left and right of the road you’re in between 5 meter high walls of snow. For me the Gotthard is about 100km away… I’ve never taken the old road because not a fan of cobblestones… Police here indeed do soundchecks and in general check for illegal modifications. I however ride shovelheads which are quite loud but legal as they conform to the rules of the 1980ies…
Ive seen pics of that, crazy that people would still ride there with all that snow. We heard so many loud bikes in Switzerland, do you think its more aimed at people who are a bit naughty on the road?
@@BunnyKingHogs just to stage 1 and ride around:yes. Even for a small change like just the handlebars, the bike will need to go for a new test where they will check if they are safe and conform regulations. Then you will get an entry in the vehicle registration document that this modification is legal. So I imagine a stage 1 is either not allowed or they will check its an official Harley and environmental approved modification, and then enter it in the vehicle registration. This is why in Switzerland the holy grail is a Harley with type 'X', meaning it's an approved but unknown bike, meaning basically all modifications are legal and do not need to be in the vehicle registration.
Thank you so much for putting a huge smile on my face time and time again with your videos. Thanks to your videos my wife has decided to get her licence so we can go touring together. Could you please tell me what type of communications system you use, to talk to each other.
Hi people, it's a pity that I did not know that you went to Switzerland for the glacier, I live here permanently and I come from Polish maybe one day you will be able to meet Let me know on your next trip to this country
Still catching up on your vlogs ... lots to watch, but loving every minute of it!! Question - Did you guys do the Black Forest, especially the B500? If not, add to your list. There are loads of good roads in the Black Forest. Also ... any tours or meet ups in the UK coming up?
@@BunnyKingHogs If you are going back into Switzerland or through it, pop into Lauterbrunnen. Pretty magical there - one of our favourite places in the Swiss Alps.
@@jay26cee we visited the area in our first tour (unexpected journey playlist) on our way back from Croatia. It was a rather ummm shocking experience. Breathtaking though
@@BunnyKingHogs Just want to put an offer out there to you guys ... if you are in need of a place to stay down in Surrey, let me know. I am just outside the M25 and near the A3 so Portsmouth is an hour away as is Dover. Just a little extra help from a fellow biker if you are heading to Calais or even Cherbourg or Spain. Can get you your bikes in double garage so safe under cover. Ride safe.
Hi, awesome videos. Is it possible, that your hair lifts the back side of the helmet up and so pushes down the front part on your forehead? I have a friend that had this problem and could solve it by making a braid that did not get pushed up by the jacket collar.
Thanks for the comment marc. We did think of that but when we checked it wasn’t a factor, didn’t impede the helmet at all. Brian has a similar issue with his, just don’t think they fit us right
Ah, ok. That happens, dometimes it takes time for getting the right fit. Anyways, enjoy you biking and thanks for letting me longing for the time the passes open again. Thats my hometurf.😎

btw: Good passing - When I pass, I'm not as much concerned as I am in my Merc. If you find yourself caught out in the oncoming lane, you can split the lane between the oncoming and the vehicle you are passing. High beams on
I love the fact you can go on group adventures like that -
And l like mostly the tail end of the video upto 27:27 - thanks
Tell me about it! They do have string in some places, and electrified fences
@@BunnyKingHogs Im glad you made it thru there safely -
You liked the video until Brian joined me on camera? Still plenty of oomph in the bike if I needed it to pass, just need to build the confidence
Wow! I can imagine the snow is crazy.
Police checks are scary, we were lucky!
You are lucky to live in such a beautiful country
Ive seen pics of that, crazy that people would still ride there with all that snow. We heard so many loud bikes in Switzerland, do you think its more aimed at people who are a bit naughty on the road?
@@BunnyKingHogs not especially, no. Here they hold general checks where they setup a roadblock and inspect all passing motorcycles.
@@bmp72 and what are the limits? Is it completely illegal then to stage 1 your Harley?
1:03 Baron Von Grumble took it up the Grimzle but never managed to Furka.
Lost me here, assuming Im too innocent?
@@BunnyKingHogs 🧐😉😂
Hmmm, those cobble stones must be slippery when wet, bet someone had numb hands after riding on the cobble stones.
Weren’t that bad, little vibrations but the road around Furka was super bumpy.
The glaciers are beautiful. We love Switzerland, we will be back soon :)
Still catching up on your vlogs ... lots to watch, but loving every minute of it!! Question - Did you guys do the Black Forest, especially the B500? If not, add to your list. There are loads of good roads in the Black Forest. Also ... any tours or meet ups in the UK coming up?
Our first tour we did (playlist the Unexpected adventure) our very first tour and blogs.
We are busy planning our next tour, lots of research needed
Ride safe.
Thank you, much appreciated
My buddy and I are doing a 5 day ride through the Alps in Sept. I would love to be able to talk to him while we ride. What system were you guys using to communicate bike to bike???
Hi Alan
We are actually doing a comms system giveaway soon… details to follow in the next couple of weeks
Can you tell me what comm system you used??

Loved this day of riding! I’m sorry I stepped on the mic and broke it.
You did break it
Amazing and so beautiful.

@@carolynemoolenschot2907 I watched your video yesterday, and I would like to ask you what is the name of the soundtrack song that appeared at 24:20? Can you tell me. Thank you so much.
Easy to be us by Alder. We have a link to Epidemic sounds in the description for the music. Thanks for watching
Disculpa, de que país envías tus videos ? Salen unos paisajes hermosos!!!
From the UK, but this is touring in Switzerland
