- Continuing our journey northwards, we venture into the long and low Harecastle Tunnel. As the last in the line of boats to go into the tunnel, we don't expect to see the light of a boat behind us gaining on us! Is it a ghost boat?!

Haha, the arrows are actually in case you break down or an emergency, you’ll know which exit is the closest to you!
Ryan did not get blamed for breaking the light??? I did see by her shirt, super women showed up for the repair as well as all the boat checks. Come on Ryan, you need to man up a bit for us out here!! :< ))

Thank you for showing us your adventure thru the tunnel. Interesting to note that this is the second vlog that I watched this morning where one of the two people are wearing a superman shirt. The other was the Foxes Afloat. I look forward to your next vlog taking us down "heartbreak hill"

The canals were made with pre-Imperial units - best to stick with those and not that new-fangled metric.
A ghost boat behind you in the tunnel that would have made sure you stayed at the proper speed through the tunnel. I think you need to update your front lights. I couldn't see a thing. At least you had on the proper t-shirt Super Girl. 😁 hahaha

John in Okla, after a quick look, it seems like it would cost us about £20 (about $25 usd) so not all that much really! But we have to prioritise what we spend our money on, and the lights we have still work well enough! 😁

We went through Harecastle tunnel in April when I helped my mate deliver his newly purchased boat. I’m 6ft 3” & had to watch my head as the tunnel roof lowered! Luckily my mate is a short arse!
Did you see the skeleton on the wall about half way along, starboard side? As we passed it I took a photo of it on my phone. I think I upset the ghost as the boat immediately veered hard right & rammed the wall! Well my mate (Who was on the helm) blamed the ghost!!!
🤣😂😳 we did see the skeleton, but I wasn’t quick enough to film it! It does get very low in there...
Pretty cool using an 8 inch shifter to tighten a 1/4 inch bolt! Lol.

You do not use the bow so why not make that your herb garden? Safer for the plants and lovely when you open the bow doors for fresh air.
Well... we do use the bow... for storage!

Haha, Ryan did sort the bulb part of it out, I just put it all back together because my fingers are more nimble with the tiny parts!

Lovely vlog, as I have come to expect. However, a tip, when checking oil levels, remove dipstick, check level, wipe dipstick, reinsert it, put it out to check it again - just in case! Love the recipes, keep them coming! Oh, and as for Pixel, sorry but she is just way too cute.

Maggie Kavanagh, no need to clean the dipstick off if the motor is cold, has sit all night, and hasn't been started in a long time. The oil will settle in the oil pan so all you need to do is pull the stick out and check it.

@@maggiekavanagh2801 It never hurts to wipe the dipstick when checking the oil. It just isn't necessary all the time. = ) Hope you have a great weekend... what's left of it. lol
