WCMGA in the Community: Giving Garden

Calling Franklin First United Methodist Church's farm a "garden" is like calling a swimming pool a bathtub! The Giving Garden covers about 5 acres and produces 12-13 TONS of food that goes to local food banks and other food ministries in the area. Williamson County Master Gardeners who volunteer at the Giving Garden lend a valuable amount of gardening expertise in food production. In addition to having a meaningful mission, the Giving Garden is a great place for master gardeners to take the lessons they learn in class and continuing education opportunities and put them into practice on a large scale.
