Vietnam, a Southeast Asian gem, offers a mesmerizing blend of natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. Stretching along the eastern edge of the Indochina Peninsula, it is renowned for its lush landscapes, bustling cities, and stunning coastlines. The country's diverse experiences, from the towering peaks of the northern mountains to the fertile deltas of the south, attract millions of travelers each year.
One of the most iconic destinations in Vietnam is Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the northeast, this bay is famous for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped with rainforests. Visitors often explore the bay on traditional junk boats, navigating through the scenic islets and hidden caves. Activities such as kayaking, rock climbing, and exploring floating fishing villages further enrich the experience, making Ha Long Bay a must-visit destination.
The capital city, Hanoi, is another major attraction. This city blends the charm of its ancient history with the dynamic energy of a modern metropolis. The Old Quarter, with its narrow streets and colonial architecture, offers a glimpse into the past, while the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum provides insight into Vietnam's political history. Hanoi's vibrant street food scene, featuring iconic dishes like pho and banh mi, adds to its appeal, making it a paradise for food lovers.
Moving south, the ancient town of Hoi An stands as a testament to Vietnam's rich cultural heritage. This well-preserved trading port, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its timeless architecture, lantern-lit streets, and bustling markets. The town's historic buildings, temples, and pagodas reflect a blend of indigenous and foreign influences, making it a fascinating place to explore. Hoi An's tailor shops are famous for custom-made clothing, attracting visitors looking to bring a piece of Vietnam's craftsmanship back home.
Not far from Hoi An is the coastal city of Da Nang, which has rapidly become one of Vietnam's most popular tourist destinations. Da Nang offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban excitement. The city's My Khe Beach, often referred to as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, attracts sunbathers and surfers alike. Additionally, the Marble Mountains, a cluster of five marble and limestone hills, offer stunning panoramic views and numerous caves and tunnels to explore. Da Nang is also home to the Dragon Bridge, a modern engineering marvel that breathes fire and water during weekend evening shows, providing a unique spectacle for visitors.
Further south, the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) showcases the vibrant economic and cultural life of modern Vietnam. This city is a dynamic blend of old and new, with sleek skyscrapers standing alongside colonial-era buildings. Key attractions include the War Remnants Museum, which provides a poignant look at the Vietnam War, and the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive network of underground tunnels used by Viet Cong soldiers. The city's vibrant nightlife, with its rooftop bars and lively markets, offers endless entertainment options.
Lastly, the Mekong Delta, often referred to as the "Rice Bowl of Vietnam," is a lush, fertile region crisscrossed by a network of rivers and canals. This area is famous for its floating markets, such as Cai Rang, where vendors sell a variety of goods directly from their boats. The delta's rich biodiversity and traditional way of life make it a fascinating destination for eco-tourism and cultural exploration.

Got it…👍🏼
The Wise debit card is not available in Thailand at this time. I'm on a "wait list."
I didn't know that it wasn't available in Thailand. I use mine here but because I had it sent to another country initially.
Wow, in 2017 I got only 14 days on arrival (as a swedish citizen). Things are changing for the better. Been 4 times to Vietnam. 2003, 2004, 2011 and 2017. Thinking about moving there.
Actually me too! Remember when I was there in 2017 and got only 2 weeks
Interesting, as a Canadian, I had a 30 days visa in 2004!
How can you move there🤔..thought Vietnam only allows tourist visas and visa runs can result in you being prevented from re entering the country.
@@ojosazules8828 There are obviously expats living in for example Da Nang. A lot more than 10 years ago. Each country is different from the other. Most south east asian countries offer retirement visas. I am not up to date on the exact rules for Vietnam now. I will be when the time comes. Cambodia and the Philippines are the best in terms of visa rules, it has been like that since i started travelling to south east asia in early the 90's
I love Vietnam. Esepcially Central Vietnam. For local food try: Banh Mi, Banh Xeo, Bun Bo Hue, and Banh Beo... Food there is really delicious and healthy.
Thanks!
The first thing I do when I arrive in a hotel room in SE Asia is checking if the aircon is clean inside, which is usually not the case.
Somehow they always forget to clean these regularly by professionals, because that's the air we breath in all the time and dirty aircons make people sick.
It wouldn't be the first time for you William to get sick of the air from the AC.
Just have a look with the phone light to the fan blades inside if you turn the AC open by hand when it's switched off.
I do the same! It is never clean anywhere in the world almost. Only clean if the hotel was build in th apast 4 years. Older hotels 100% filtyh AC
One important thing which foreign tourists to VN should always remember is that there are a lot of scammers in this country.
We think you made a big mistake when asking the driver where to go. For most Vietnamese, it is considered very naive to do that. The driver can get a commission (from restaurants) of about 20 to 25% of your bills and that is why he brought you to the expensive and seafood restaurants.
The first eatery you went to is a branch one and the main one is in Hanoi where I have eaten once. Local people never go there because it is expensive and the food is not good either.
So the advice is that you should do some research on Google Maps about where to eat and what to do before you go, and never believe taxi drivers.
Nice
alot of scammer? Vy, Are you losing your mind?
Excellent video. Thanks for showing us this cool location. It was interesting to see regular people using translation apps and I was impressed how many people could speak English in this tourist area. Seems like few people are aware of this gem - especially if you like seafood.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another Epic video brother. Thanks for sharing this. Cheers from 2 Canadians 🇨🇦 living in Mexico. 🇲🇽✌🏼❤️
Thanks for watching :D
Just wanted to say a quick huge thank you for this and all of your videos. You answered all my questions in them and satisfied my curiosities about all these places. Great content always and never boring. I appreciate greatly the budget travelling. Keep up the great work!
thank you appreciate it
Looks good and not so hectic like Bangkok .Thanks for the credit card tip, Wise .Keep them coming and we will keep on watching , good job , William .
Thank you and thanks for watching
Just came back from Thailand a month ago, and headed to Vietnam next month. Stoked to get a peek of what I'm in for with Da Nang.
Very nice!
Nice video!
Nice one William & friends 👍
Getting a boarding pass ahead of time to avoid waiting at a line at the counter is great as long as you don’t have any check-on luggage you may have to pay extra for. Only for passengers with a carry-on bag.
Hoi An and Hue...both great day trips. Wow Da Nang looks like Miami beach now 🙂
Yes, thank you!
came to say the same thing. you will enjoy Hoi An!
Video was still very good William!
Glad you think so! thanks!
A good tip pointing out lower buildings because of the air conditioning.
Of course, the decentralized air conditioning system doesn't have the mold problem either.
Nice video my friend I always have fun with your stories and crazy ideas, Love the food and beer, keep more vids my friend
Thanks! Will do!
Another great video. I love Phở. I get it at a local restaurant here. Their spring rolls are also really good--both the fried & the raw ones. You've got to try the raw ones if you haven't. Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you :)
Hoi An is a must see, hope you go there!! I was in Danang way back in 2008 and there was barely any tall buildings around. It sure has changed. Love the workout and pool jumps ;0
I always wanted to go to Da Nang but I heard it’s a big tourist trap. I always look for quiet places with less crowds, so this looked very nice. How was the mosquito and sandfly situation? Nice to see you meeting new people and discovering new places.😊
14:55 ^great music to the pull ups & dips
thanks!
I thought this video was great William. Keep up the great work and enjoy Vietnam.
thank you!
Nice vid bro
thanks!
Enjoy your content. I’ve followed your advice in Mexico and now in se asia. Just got back from Vietnam a couple of months ago. Holler if you make it over to the Philippines
Thank you! and thanks for watching the videos
I don't think alcohol agrees with you. Hope you didn't have a bad hangover.
Your hotel was really nice. The price was really good as well.
Thanks for bringing me along. See you next time.❤
Sea grapes, an algae from tropical seas, now also loose in the Mediterranean from a jaque custeau museum 😊😊
Usually they give u a side plate with Pho of veggies to throw in and hot sauce, also I love raw cane juice it's also very nutritional which you wouldn't think bc it's made from sugar cane
Sugar cane is source of white sugar. They have many fields here in Louisiana.
When we were in Bali we found Tiger beer with soju. Very good especially the Punchy Peach flavour 😊
Those green things on top of the food are sea grapes! Probably the healthiest thing there
great video guillermo had not seen you drink so much in a long time!!
Yeah me neither
William, my friend! I think you’d really enjoy Hoi An. It’s very close. A Bang Beach is very nice, and Hoi A City old town is very nice.
Hello thanks yes will upload a video from there also!
My favourite country. Had such great times there in the past. Cracking place, lovely people, the food is wonderful, top notch 🤙
Barry, London
Thanks yes very cool country!
Thanks 4 a GREAT video like usual!
Thanks for watching!
Spend lots of time here William, see Phu Quoc Vietnam 🇻🇳 you will love it there!
I was there in 2017. Very nice island!
great video and sugar cane is how they make sugar
Thanks!
We have a large Hmong population in california and there are lots of pho restaurants scattered about, some are a mix of thai and vietnamese. Many came here after the vietnam war to escape the communist takeover. Quite interesting how that country is today and se asia
Great video as always. I also feel so bad for the way the live seafood is kept. I've eaten a plant based diet for 15 years now, I always felt so sorry for all the animals.
Sound was fine. Nice haircut!
thank you!
The taxi diver is very cute! ❤
Cala Millor is pur favorite for this sommer
Goooood morning Vietnam!
Try the coconut coffee at Bamboo Bob's. It's so delicious!
*Vietnam now allows a 90 day tourist visa. Application is done online & costs about $45 US.
Yeah If you apply and pay you can get 90. But 45 without paying and doing nothing.
Beat Coconut Coffee is a Koi Coffee and Massage. Bamboo Bobs is over rated IMO
William! So happy to see new videos. I envy you sir. I'm nervous to travel long distance. I hate planes lol
Thank you! Yes it is exhausting to travel long distance I dont like it very much either
Willy, you were sloshed. I loved Vietnam. Do go to Hoi An, please.
Slammin beers - cheers🍻
Great haircut! Great video and pool tricks...careful now. 😊
Thank you 🤗
Gooood! Very goooooood! 😁
There's something called the blackjack table, you can study it to become a good player.
Heyy Willam 🙈
Hello!
Your shorter haircut looks awesome on you bro!
No flirting
@@ThatOneGuy-hp2pb - Haha! 😄
thank you
😊peer pressure 😮🍻
Hey thanks for the video on Da Nang! Could you tell me what's up with the air quality there right now? I've been watching it on the Wundergound weather app and the air level is 3x worse than anywhere else. It's been like that over a month. The air looks clear there on the video though
I think the air is clean by the ocean but you can see smoke or something coming from the main land side
You're one of the channels that I like to watch. Keep up the good work. I always look forward to your new videos😊 and your hella cute, but I like your personality too.
I'm glad to hear that. Thank you!
I added some, lol. You're welcome. Also, your hair looks good short 😊 have a blessed day!
Gooood!
Hej åker till vietnam nu i november till phu quoc
Phu Quoc är väldigt fint jag var där 2017! Dom byggde mycket då så det har nog förändrats mycket! Riktigt blått fint vatten där
One of these days at one of these airports you will wish you were there a few hours early. Shit happens sometimes.
Not if you stay in a hotel right next to the airport the night before and have checked in the night before also and already have the borading cards on the phone. Almost nothing can go wrong, unless you oversleep
Thank you for the videos
Im planning to visit Da Nang soon
Do u recommend this driver and can u share his what’s app?
Thank you
Thank you for watching! Most drivers will text you too much. Better to take a grab and have a different driver
William when do you post normally your videos, how long ago is it actually that you have been to these places? 1 day, a week, a month or longer ? Thanks 😊
It depends. Some times I'm lazy to edit the videos and don't upload them for a few weeks
William, will you visit Cambodian, Seam Reap… Ankor Watt… world largest religious pyramid..
I can imagine William you were the first person in the history of that hotel to do a forward flip into their 4 ft deep pool. You officially christened that hotels grand opening 😂
Träningen går bra ser jag... det inspirerar mig.... good good
tack!
William, you always do such a great job on these videos!
Thank you friend
Strange stuff: i live in Thailand and have a wise Account and wanted to order the debit Card. This came Back via the App:
Thanks for joining the waitlist. We'll let you know once we've launched in your country.
Oh. Which country are you originally from? If you use that country it will probably work.
@@williamtaudien yeah, it did. one has to change address and phone nr. to germany in my case and then they send it to the german address. it arrived today, so my son can send it to me. a bit complicated and strange, I have been using wise for years now.
As you know, having lived in the United States, you couldn't get a cardboard box under the freeway for $20 a day let alone a nice room like that😃
Yeah in many countries you can not get much for 20 dollars!
Tiger beer. Cheers! 🍻🍻🍻
It will be interesting letting us know the comparison between Pattaya nd Da Nang , which city would you prefer to live?
You will see in the coming videos
Love this! Thanks for the Wise connection! Very good!
Glad you enjoyed it! thanks!
As an hvac guy, if there is the compressor on the balcony you should be safe from sound( white box with fan on balconny), even if the diffuser is in the ceiling. If you have the compressor in the ceiling thats what makes the noise they are usually connected to a water tower on the roof. Its done for aeathetic purposes because it looks better to not have anything on the balcony but the victims are noise sensitive people like us 😅
Yeah that is right! Just realized that now when you said it
cane juice is made of sugar cane not a root ha
yeah
Video Idea: Pattaya vs Da Nang
Different Worlds No Comparison!
I was a bit disappointed in Danang. The restaurants near the beach are mainly fish tank seafood restaurants. It's a big rip-off. Nobody goes to the beach during the daytime to avoid the sun. The city is oddly designed. You'll need a motorbike, William.
Nobody at the beach sounds perfect to me.
William, great VLOGs, Thank you for making me feel "on holiday" every time I watch it!!
About WISE: why do you change into local currency in advance?
I also use this outstanding card but keep my money in "my home currency" on the wise bank account and let WISE change every time I need it.
Do you think that is more expensive?
I think so because when you withdrawl cash from the ATM and dont have that actual currency on the card, there is a higher exchange rate I believe. But if you add the right currency from the beginning there is no exchange rate. Not sure though
Your last name in Vietnamese is metro train, how interesting
Guessing Mexico air is looking pretty good 😂
Thailand a good home base for an Asia tour 🇹🇭
Are you going to check out Ho Chi Min?
No I have been there before
Did you like it? I am going there in a few months@@williamtaudien
Awesome video William! Makes me want to travel to De nang. Love that you were able to communicate with the taxi driver and your night out looked so fun!
Thank you!
Only 45 day visa? I heard it was a 90 day visa. Must be the difference between nationalities. You’re Swedish. I’m American. Either way, Vietnam is worth seeing!
He said without visa
@@G.A.C_Preserve - Oh. You’re right.
I think 90 if you apply before going and send in some document
Btw Pho is actually pronounced as “Fa”. At least that’s what I’ve been told
He actually pronounce it very accurate (Southern Accent)
Still my favorite scientist… sugarcane! Hahaha!!!
scientist?
@@williamtaudien please make another video explaining how we are destroying the earth while you travel around! My favorite scientist! I only listen to you man!
fun fact Taudien = I'm crazy in Vietnamese or Metro.
Great video William!!! Vietnam is on my target list for places to visit! Nice that you had a few drinks this time.....which leads me to one question? WHERE'S SVENN??? 😆
He might return soon lol
🤣🫵
Yeah, Sven should make a surprise appearance.
I think he’d enjoy Vietnam visiting William 😂 🍺 🍺
Who told you this video wasn't good? I don't need them to be any more professional than this, this was perfect man, I love your channel, and I love the places that you visit. I also look for the chicken dishes, I am not a big fan of seafood, Looking forward to the next one. ( Time to up the reps to 15 sets now lol. ). Phil.
thank you :)
So nice you have a Taxi driver that you can hang out with a little ... very nice! It looks like the area near the beach is pretty, but I would love to see some more cultural things, maybe a Museum, Botanical Gardens, small Villages where people live a regular life. When I travel I am not a huge beach person.. I love going for a refreshing swim, some snorkeling, or such, but after that the beach is boring in Tourist areas.
In another later video you will see Hoi An. A really ancient city
@@williamtaudien Cannot wait for the ancient city tour :) As always great video! I appreciate you for giving insights on Money exchange and other travel ideas!
Da Nang will probably be your new place ....
Good odds on the blackjack …. Some opportunity to make some money. Time to brush up on your card counting expertise 😂. stay away from those 6:5 blackjack tables. Casino odds are VERY bad! yes you will lose more. Payouts on pulling a 21 is to the casino advantage.
Come to Myanmar
Some guy stalking you…. Weird…. I’ve seen him a few times… be careful!!!!
In the background ?
Needed your Thai visa renewed?
I had another month left but wanted to travel somewhere!
I dont know how you can travel the world without luggage. Ive been traveling full time for 3 years and I have at least 80lbs of stuff I drag around.
Our 3 years travelling we had a suitcase each 20kg then 7kg carry-on. We aim in future just to have carry-on.
I had 50 lbs many years ago but realized how bad it was so I got rid of most things
Great video, very informative. The Vietnamese people are very good-looking! The food concerns me with so much carbohydrate and much deep frying in inflammatory seed oils... Beautiful place though!..❤
yes same in thailand, quite a lot of fried food
Are anabolic steroids and HGH cheaper in Vietnam?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎🏴
HCMC is not the capital city
William drinks like a viking
lol not very often that happens!
WISE looks interesting, but they collect biometric data (for those concerned about the matrix).
Hey William- in Asia it is an absolute "no go" to walk around in Public wirhout a shirt on- even wirh a well trained body as yours- I dont mean to be preachy by any means- but it s the way it is in asia- thought I d draw your attention to that Bro 😉
I run on the streets in Thailand without a shirt nobody ever says anything
@@williamtaudien it s a complete other culture over there - asian people often dont say.what they think - other then us westerners- but believe me, they don t like it- but feel free.- I only mean well and just wanted to let.you.know 🤙
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻☕
🙂❤👍
