For the past several years I have been pulling out the 20 amp fuse for the horn when I parked the vehicle as a courtesy to my neighbors because my alarm system kept going off in 2006 Honda Ridgeline. The lights, as part of the system, continued to go off but no noise from the horn. I had seen the remedy of uncoupling the connection for the hood latch before but disregarded it thinking that it would not work. But guess what? It worked!! Thanks for the remedy to a multiyear problem!

the alarm goes off when i start the car, so i'm thinking maybe its the driver side door sensor. is it okay if i just unplug the door handle sensor? will it lose any functionality in terms of opening/closing? hood sensor already unlocked btw

I just had my windshield replaced in 2012 acura mdx same white color. The alarm started doing this today when it rained. It said the tail gate was open but it wasn't. The battery cable was loose and came off the day before we tightened it up and then the windshield repair. I dont know what could've caused it. Do you think the tech who replaced the windshield did something wrong.

Crazy how you just uplaloaded this video 22 hours ago. I unplugged the hood sensor last nighht but no luck. So I unplugged the battery overnight. I had to show my wife how to unplug and replug the battery to go to work this morning. I will try the driver door tonight with the horn fuse off. and go from there. Also told her to stop at Auto zone and see if they can test her battery to see if its good.
I saw a video on youtube ( th-cam.com/video/uTyvAWWGxz0/w-d-xo.html) for the 2014 mdx and some new acuras that have issues with the alarm control module but I have no idea where its located on a 2013 MDX and if its even the same problem for these generation. I been readin online on acura forum and nobody really has this problem for the 2nd gen MDX relating to the alarm control module.

Seems like it was the battery. Alarm didnt go off last night after we replaced it. Autozone said it was bad.
