This podcast or interview makes several points which I agree with such as the drinking culture becoming less important. Equally several points are either out of date or do not matter as much as the interviewee claims. I think if you have control of the company and the business and there is a clear business model that is much more important than the brand. Foreign brands do not necessarily have an advantage anymore in China. Foreign brands looking to enter China need to be prepared they need a customized solution to build their presence in China and a budget. No longer is just being a foreign brand enough. Many younger people are okay with local brands too. Competition is not always a bad thing.
And also he looked at the people who are foreigners that he thinks are successful. Perhaps more details on what he considers successful may make the podcast better.
