*Botan is so freaking cute!!!!!* I love how she go so excited she couldn't help but whip out her phone to take the picture. Glad Fubuki's manager was able to help her out though lmao.
This might not be very helpful since I'm basically saying "do all of them", but regarding Japanese onomatopoeia, I think it can differ depending on context. For example "Wah!" I feel like works just find bc the tone she's saying it conveys what it means anyway, but it makes more sense to do things like "Wow!" in that case since that's pretty much the English equivalent anyway. Localizing a "yatta!" to "Heck yeah" definitely works because that easily conveys what it means and "yatta" isn't really a generic sound like "wah!". As in, you can say that "Wah!" in any language and probably understand the energy behind it, but "yatta" is a specifically Japanese expression, so changing that to an English expression makes sense. Finally, "bumped against my drink" makes sense to use in that context because it's probably the simplest way to clearly explain what she's talking about. You can't really turn that into a short phrase like you could with "yatta/heck yeah".
Again, I recognize I'm saying "just do all of them" and that's probably not very helpful woops lol but I feel like different approaches could work better depending on context and the onomatopoeia being used.
    Thanks for the subs!

Thank you again for the wonderful translated clip! I can listen to Botan telling stories and laughing all day, but it is also nice to know what she is saying.

I'm starting to understand why Shuba-san began to think Botan had youngest sister energy. Adorkable Shishiron.

    Thanks for the clip!
I also especially like the TL notes at the end! It's very interesting seeing other people's approach to translate different things, and it gives insight into the language itself!
You definitely made the right choices with when to translate the onomatopeia, btw - especially for bishobisho, I'd say, since I don't know Japanese and wouldn't have known what that meant. Great work!

It's funny hearing about the holomem behave like this. I suppose it's even more intense when it's your own concert/expo thing.

Thanks for the translations! With Japanese onomatopoeia, I would prefer as it is.

EDIT: I recently changed my youtube account from a Brand account to a Personal account so that I can become a member of some channels. Doing this nuked all my posts and likes. This one comment was special to me though, so I'm reposting it:

5:26 It depends on what you want to accomplish really. If one just wants to do a translation, then keeping the onomatopoeia is preferred as it helps with learning. If one wants to do interpretation, then that's a lot more difficult because you have to consider who you're interpreting for and how best to convey the feeling and intent of the language you're interpreting. There's a reason why anime/game translators get paid hardly anything, and interpreters get paid the big bucks since it requires you to be better than fluent in two languages.
Localizing is difficult and I don't think you'll be able to find an answer that fits every situation no matter who you ask. My personal opinion though, is that you're doing a fine job! Your clips are always easy to follow and your notes at the end really help with figuring out the ambiguous or culturally specific things. You clearly put in more effort than a lot of other clippers, the amount of care and attention to detail you put into your work is obvious. The choices you make are good ones and if you carry on as you are, I'd be very happy.

Just want to let you know too that I really appreciate both time that you took the time to comment! 🙏
Even now, even though i haven't been doing clips, i still find myself trying to see what phrase would have been perfect both accurate-wise and localization-wise whenever i watch her streams or even when reading manga.
      Once again, thank you, Feroce!!
