This is by no means ethnic profiling, where are the Fulanis in all this? They must be good at some sort of sport especially shooting or archery.

As diverse as we are, we all have our strengths and that's the beauty of it. I may be wrong; the Hausa and Fulani aren't into athletics. That's fine, as long as they excel in other respects to elevate their lives and their country.

Just look at these Nigerian contingents pulling their weight in spite of the challenges and discouraging environment. Kudos to them

That's the true spirit. I'm certain there were lots of pep talks to motivate them. In the end, you not only make your country proud, but yourself. Now imagine when things get much better, unstoppable!

Egypt has a recipe of excellence from the time of Joseph. Nigeria must eliminate corruption before we can stand a chance to catch up with Egypt.

There is corruption in Egypt too. Stop putting down your country.

Egypt has a recipe of excellence from the time of Joseph '' You said That is historically incorrect !
Documented history debunks the lies of the Bible ! The modern Egyptians are not related to ancient Egyptians !
Archaeology proves you and the Bible wrong !

Egypt is also dominant in disciplines that Nigeria is not even represented in !
I do agree with you on the topic of corruption.

@@wolefatunmbi9727 is it everything that we will argue? The Egypt of today formerly known as Kemet remains the same Egypt except if you are living a propaganda and you can as well carry their pyramid and sell to the Egypt you know. Lol go back to your history and the right source.☺️

@@wolefatunmbi9727Just admit that you an are atheist.U choose to go with documented history and discard the biblical narrative as if the documented history was not written by humans. U can choose to believe what you want to believe.but know that your opinion is not the standard criterion we can use to ascertain the veracity of historical facts.

Egypt don't buy their senators suvs for 160million each, they rather spend that money in the right places like sport that would bring international recongnition and national glory. That is the difference reflected on the medals table. While Nigerian leaders are busy buying foreign cars that would depreciate in value in less than 4 years, building other countries economy, egypt invest more within their country,in sport, education and infrastructures for a better country.

Dang...the guy is 6ft 6inches and even taller than Usain Bolt...and yet he is running 400m...that is so so not normal lol. Compared to recent results, he will rank in the Top 6...if not less. We need to improve training in time for the Olympics

Succulently said by Rufai! Egypt has sport clubs and not just a football, basketball, handball or what have you. And guess what, they are well run. For example, a club like Zamalek of Egypt has a football club, basketball club, handball and others, competing on the continent. Taking a look at our biggest sport football, we are not running it well and most of our top teams don't have what it takes to compete on the continent. We don't engage sport has business rather, as entertainment/showbiz.

@Rufai, what has that criminal Amaju Pinnick got to do with Athletics? How can you say that Ese Brume's success is due to Amaju Pinnick? Stop nonsense @ AriseTV, Amaju Pinnick is a self-serving crook. He has DONE NOTHING for sports development in Nigeria!!!!! Prove me wrong, like you guys say, you have the right of rebuttal.

You can argue with the fact or speak against it. Although, he was self serving as the NFF president, but he also discovered the young lady.

Rufai haba! You said Nigerian private sectors are struggling? Simply put, investing in adverts seems a waste of resources to them, that's because bulk of their profits goes to their CEOs pockets. Nonetheless our athletes as good, as dedicated they are understands the government, that despite all shortcomings, they came from all parts of the world to give their best. They are truly our heros. God bless them for us.
