Hands down the best band iv ever seen live i wish i could see them one more time. Seen them at cycle against suicide and at the carlow arts festivel. Just amazing!!!
I think everyone who's been following this band for last couple of years must be set alight by this track - it is fantastic. They are always in danger of too many old farts blowing smoke up their arses and them believing it never to be heard of again. I hope they're now here to stay - because they deserve it.
These chaps are awesome. I had the pleasure of seeing them on Tuesday night at Mr Kyps in Poole and they rocked hard...my ears are still ringing! It was fantastic to see them do this live, its already one of my favourite Strypes numbers.
No! You broke up before i got the chance to see you live! Anyway, thank you for 3 great albums and 3 great eps, bringing back the good music, and bringing life into live shows. Scumbag City will remain one of the greatest rock songs of this century. keep rocking
This is so much better than the version. The vocals are equally as good as the studio version (which is extremely rare!). The tempo is slightly increased which livens up the whole thing. The drums, bass and guitar have added shared intricacies at certain points making it more interesting and the build up before the first "scumbag city blues" gives the part so much context compared to the studio version which goes from quiet section to quiet section. Please release this version on spotify and iTunes or re-record in the studio! It will do everybody's ears a world of good. (This is not hate, I just want this band to be as good as they can be and this clearly shows that they can be.)
Alex99876 I much prefer this version as its just more raw and less polished than the studio version, which i thought had vocals slightly too polished for the genre. also i didnt like the 2nd guitar in the studio version intro as it gave it a bit of an indie feel.
Alex99876 I've noticed this with some of the great new young bands playing today. Their producers/labels don't trust the raw talent of the band and over-produce the studio versions. I guess the "kids" don't have the experience or the pull just to tell the producers to cut the crap. A roots rock/blues band need to survive on it's ability to play punch-in-the-gut, no sparkles music. These guys are the exception who can do just that. Their art need to be left alone from others screwing with it.
Indigo2, the Lexington, 100 Club, Rough Trade, Electric Ballroom - that's my hit list, great great band, terrific attitude and musicianship. And this just adds to the credibility.
OMG!!! This is absolutely amazing!! I really LIKE this song a lot and I can't wait to get their new EP!! I can't wait for u lads to come back to the U.S. cause i missed u guys when u were here last year.
The Ricoh's the second nicest ground I've ever been to behind Molyneux, I lived on Heath Road up past Gosford Green so you can see where my negative view of Coventry's come from! I like both Coventry and Preston for different reasons but I have to say Coventry's nicest areas are on a level with some of Preston's mediocre/worst.
wow, what a great song! I sincerely did not think you could do something so new, because your first work seemed to me already a little artistic miracle. Instead you are growing up so fast and well! hope you all the best. do not listen to all the bullshit about you to split to be a star! you have to do exactly the opposite, think about the good music you make together as you are now. than maybe that will make you have more fans, and nothing else! the world of music is already full of puppets making easy "commercials" as they are asked to do by companies that do not want to risk a penny, and produce music as it was socks. on the contrary we lack of something good really authentic, as it has always been rock when good. nobody can mimic rock too much, soon rock fans find it out and drop it. as for anybody (as a person, or as an artist), the hardest thing is to become what you are. all my best wishes for this and your work. you're already on the right way, just keep on doin'. rock on!
Me encanta :D
I prefer the studio version over this, I mean i love how energetic this is and how the solo is twice as long but it almost feels too raw and sloppy. Still some of the best music you'll find nowadays and I'd love to see them live here in Aus.

Critics, musicians and kids in the future picking up their first guitar are gonna look back and realize this was a very underrated album.
The album is not that old. Give it time to shine ;)
Terrible Arctic Monkeys impression. And they broke up. History won't even remember this crowd.
@@spuuuuuz this song sounds nothing like AM
@@themanwhosoldtheworld8683 you're right, Arctic Monkeys are actually good.
I got a copy signed by the band when I snuck back stage at a small venue in my home town ov Penarth. I love it
Hands down the best band iv ever seen live i wish i could see them one more time. Seen them at cycle against suicide and at the carlow arts festivel. Just amazing!!!
These guys are so talented and charismatic, it's not even funny.
I think everyone who's been following this band for last couple of years must be set alight by this track - it is fantastic.

Ive seen them live twice and once was a private concert
Damn, this is brilliant. Great musicianship and great production.
By far my favourite Strypes song so far! These guys will go far. Love them

+Keith Gaspar i think you would like Benjamin Booker
I think you’re all a bunch of snobs over-analyzing music that is just fun
RIP STRYPES 2011-2018
I LOVE THE STRYPES! I KNOW THEM FROM THE BOTTOM AND THEY EVOLVED SO MUCH, PROUD OF YOU GUYS!
Indigo2, the Lexington, 100 Club, Rough Trade, Electric Ballroom - that's my hit list, great great band, terrific attitude and musicianship. And this just adds to the credibility.
Remember hearing this when they were a support act for Liam at the SSE Arena, great song!

THIS IS AMAZING!!!! now all i need is a whole live album :D
OMG!!! This is absolutely amazing!! I really LIKE this song a lot and I can't wait to get their new EP!! I can't wait for u lads to come back to the U.S. cause i missed u guys when u were here last year.
Definitely my song of the moment, I can't get enough of it 😍 (+ I'm so in love with Josh)
Shame these kids have disbanded. I hope for the best for all of them. See a solo career for Josh me thinks.

Wow. This is way better than the studio version. And mainly due to a lot of small changes that culminate into something bigger. Wow again
I thought there could never be a band to reach the Stones or Quo.
I was wrong.
Cheers to you!
This is an awesome live session! Hope they come to Spain again :)
About to move home from Coventry where I go to University. Imagine how much this song resonates with me!!

Perfecta manera
so much better than the studio version
this song is so much better than any song from the first album.
Alternative Ulster !...riffage. Great band.
Me encanta la banda de estos chicos!
The rhythm section is from led zepp. Cool song and very good album. Worth getting the deluxe version it has a lot of good stuff
The bassist is d'image of a young Roger Daltrey!!! :D
Nice!
I want Evan's shoes...I really really reallyyyyyyyyyy love them!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't find this song on Spotify 😔
Hey what a sound still firing on all cylinders have to go see them again
I like the song i hope they're going to do a european tour or something
a bit of brit pop vibe and kooks sound with a old school Henry rollins attitude..
fuckin rad as fuck..
Great song and a cool performance; shame we couldn't see the guitar solo properly though!
Damn good...
The lead singer looks like Alex Turner time traveled and formed a new band
The lead singer looks like miles kane
Rocio Olivera the lead single looks like Mike krol
