- After being together for a few weeks, it’s finally time to say goodbye to each other at the airport. It gets very emotional in our long distance relationship with Sam living in England and Monica in New York, so we try to visit each other as much as possible!

The summerhays clan I'm the same but I've been in the German special forces for about 7 years now and I've deployed 4 times and my gf of 6 years is scared that my next tour will be my last and I'll come home in a box and from what I've seen she get very scared and teary when I hope on the plane to leave the longest I've been away from her was 15 months I'm ranked lieutenant commander bravo 1

It looks like a movie, but it's not entertaining to be in a LDR. I've been in one 7.5 years. It's the hardest thing to go through, it's romanticized when you're not in it but being in one is so, so hard
It's amazing how they went from long distance and travelling back and forth to happily married

I just got flashbacks seeing that. I am from India and i am in a long distance relationship too. She's from Germany. In our 2 years of relationship i met her for the first time last December in Germany. That 2 weeks were amazing and I couldn't have asked for more but that day when I had to go back... We both cried the whole night before and I... Idk what to say but seeing this brought tears in my eyes too. I hope we can meet again soon.

I REALLY wish you guys all the best. I was in a (mostly) long distance relationship for nearly 19 years. In all that time we only lived together for about seven years. For the rest of it we either lived in different states, or I was doing so much traveling in my work that we were rarely together even when we lived together. Unfortunately she passed away in 2010. I have always blamed myself for not trying harder or doing every thing I could to be with her more, and now I'll never get the chance again. You two belong together and I hope you get to be so sooner rather than later.

I've discovered your channel recently. I really can relate so much. My boyfriend is in the British Army, we've been together almost 3 years. He is currently away in Germany, im in England. He's been gone 6 weeks. It's so hard, being apart in separate countries. Especially with next to no contact, sometimes days without phone calls or video calls. Saying goodbye is always the hardest part, I'm a mess during that time and afterwards. I cry so much. It gets easier each time though, you get into a routine, have a countdown until you see them again. We don't live together yet either, i can't wait until we do so we won't have to be away from each other as much xx
Coming to watch these videos after you've gotten married now, and are living together. Makes me happy you two don't have to go through it long distance anymore.

I am in a long distance relationship too and I stayed with him for 2 weeks. I returned to NJ yesterday while he stayed in his home state of Florida. The airport goodbye was very hard and I had to buy a pack of tissues at the airport shop cause I was crying. He was crying too and it was just a very sad moment. But we are going to be meeting again for Christmas time! It's like 4 months away but still something to look forward to.

@Michelle Elizabeth - There is an app called "Countdown" that I use which counts down to a special event. I put the day my bf and I will meet again and as the weeks go by, I keep checking to see how much time I have left till I go back! 3 months and 16 days left.
I'm in the same situation!! Only that I live in Germany and my boyfriend in Georgia 😭 But we'll also see each other in 4 months 😊

We just spent this past weekend together in new york after we haven't seen each other in 6 weeks and all the great things we did together really just gave me strength for the next 4 months. I know exactly how hard it is for long Distance. I met my girl in Taiwan because we both work for the same company. I live in US and i know if i fall in love with this girl it's not going to be easy. But i realized that i love her so much that i am willing to either move to Taiwan or bring her to the US (It's up to her). So in February 5 2023 i proposed to her and we got married in Taiwan in November 2023. Usually we see each other once a year. And every year we are together for a month and i have to go back to the US. My wife and i still going through long-distance relationship even until this day. Especially at the airport she always cried like a baby. I knew i couldn't cry cuz the ego :P but last year i couldn't helped but also cried. Long distance is painful. But i'm so happy for both of you that you made it! :)
I wish you both can be together permanently very soon. I'm also in long distance/cross country relationship 4000 miles and an ocean apart. It's so unbelievably hard being so far away from each other and saying goodbye each time is gut wrenching.
Today is our 2nd anniversary. I am portuguese, he is angolan. We met in 2016 when he went to my college to do Erasmus. At the end of his Erasmus he had to go back to his country and we made 2 months of long distance relationship. He visited me for some days back in october 2017. And because of money and passport issues, we were away for 1 year. We were together last november for just a weekend, and it was the best weekend of my life. We both work in good firms now, which helps a lot. We have his trip bought to february, I can't wait. If you are in a long distance relationship never stop believing and fighting cause love always wins, no matter the distance. In 2 years , all we lived together was about 7 months. As my boyfriend uses to say, our love is mental and espiritual. Phisical love is just an aspect.❤️ and it's true
